Mom's 60th Birthday Party IDEAS!!!

Hi guys!

Any unique but inexpensive ideas for a great 60th birthday bash for my mom this November? Something intimate (for 10-15 pax), dinner, and she'll really remember. Last year, I surprise her with a b-day lunch @ Pho Hoa wherein I gathered all her close friends. She was really happy. I don't know how I can top that this year. If money isn't a problem, I thought of holding a yacht dinner party for her earlier this year. But seems like cash is not that high this month so I'm thinking of a good alternative. Please help!!!

sis, ang guest mo ba mga amigas ng mommy mo? pampering session kaya. check with your neighborhood kung meron nagseservice ng manicure footspa or pedi  tapos slice some cheese, and place them in platters with grapes and drained peaches  then place some mixed nuts sa small bowls para cocktail style muna before dinner tapos sa dinner check martha stewart website for some table settings

how about a party in your house? for my mom's birthday this year, nagpa cater na lang kami para walang hassle. there were around 15- 20 guests with 6 dishes ata yun. we spent around 7k. not bad coz everyone loved the food and we had fun. nag bigay pa nga ng puto yung caterer

We usually go to the spa pag b-day nya eh sis so sana something na different this year. But thanks for the suggestion!

veeya006 Ang mura noon ah.  Pwede na.  Naisip ko rin mag pa party pero low key lang. intimate dinner sa amin for family and friends. Around 15 to 20 lang tapos may montage ng pics as presentation.  60 years worth of pics hehe. Sino caterer niyo?

must try yung chicken pastel.. thinking about it makes hungry . dont forget to have the discount logo printed, sayang din yun. nice pa yung mga tao jan. tip lang, if you don't get a confirmation after 1 day. call them na. when we ordered the last time, they havent checked their email pala. buti na lang my mom called & asked why wala pang confirmation

baka pwede ka mag rent ng projector for the pics. may nagpapa rent ba ng ganun?

How about a Tagaytay trip? Tapos spa doon and overnight. How much kaya? The thing is she already booked us a trip to Coron from 24-27 eh her b-day is on the 29th.

ginawa namin to nung 50th b-day ng tito ko.
A small party sa house nila about 20-30 people. kami lang nag luto ng mga foods - it's a surprise party actually so effort talaga kung paano kami mag p-prepare
Then we invited yung mga close friends nya. And nag gawa kami ng AVP for him with his pictures from past and present and nanghingi din kami ng mga simple message from his family and friends na nandito sa abroad at nasa pinas (sinama rin namin ang messages sa AVP). na surprise naman sya ng bonggang-bongga!.lols

I checked out Balay Inday. It's nice and I read also Anton Diaz' blog about it.
I'm comparing the costs if I do it here sa house or take a weekend trip to Tagaytay with my mom.

I contacted my friend at the Moon Garden in Tagaytay. The cost would be around 5,000 all in (accommodation, food, gas and massages for two or three). She's been wanting to go here for years already.

The cons of the trip is that I'm limited to four pax. But I feel she'll like it since she's pretty stress out at work. She's been wanting to get a massage also.

If I do it here sa house, the problem is that nobody will help me clean up (being the only daughter and there's no maid hahaha!). The idea of dinner party for 10 pax under the stars excites me but not the cleaning part and organization lolz.  Work is toxic lately too If I hire a caterer or cleaning service, it's going to be expensive right? Help!

^ full body sana. I saw celebrity website already but di sila nagseservice sa qc sayang! I went to G-spa sa Sct.  Borromeo, nasa P9,000 package nila for 5 pax. :O

^yun lang hehe better to go to the spa na mismo pag ganyan. Nagcompare din ako if spa in Manila and Tagaytay. Weirdly, same lang rin gastos so I'll choose Tagaytay nalang. Pero if you guys know any spas na nagaaccommodate ng parties, let me know.

Any idea how much yung Manila Bay cruises? Ok ba food and service?

What about   invitations or giveaways in the form of a senior citizen discount card with your mom's picture ?

Saw  in a magazine  the highlight of a socialite's  60th  bday party  was  the  huge senior citizen discount card  complete with Mayor Binay's  signature. And si Mayor  Jojo pa ang nag-abot  sa kanya kasama  ang  yellow card ng Makati. Cool!

Feb.2,2011 60th Birthday na ng Mom ko...gusto namin sya isurprise!!Sis help nyo naman ako kung anong pwedeng maging program sa birthday nya. kung merong DIY sa wedding meron din ba Birthday especially for senior citizen??? Plan kasi namin na sa house lang namin gawin ang suprise party.
