What do you do with your old Books?

I just donated a few boxes recently to charity.

old children's books are given to charity.. mom ko pa un nag packed

I gave a way a lot of old books, yung iba kinuha ng relatives without my permission. Madame kase books from when I was younger cus I really love to read.

Now, I just keep them, especially yung mga mahal like my hard bound Reader's Digest Great mysteries of the past.

most of my books are reference/textbooks na i can't just donate or give away (coz they're really expensive, sayang naman)....but because same course kami ni hubby, almost same lang books namin so lahat  ng meron na syang copy, pinauwi ko na lang sa amin, i just stored most of them in a box...the rest dinala ko, neatly stacked in our library

there's this bookstore na nag open and took place of Borders (nagclose lahat nang borders sa bankruptcy) and itong new store when we entered akala namin was borders before closing yun pala it was a charity store they get book donation and resell them cheap lang naman pag resell mga $1-2 yun ngalang madami oldie books and  di mo alam san galing. so baka with some books i'm willing to part with idonate ko dun and buy books from there and donate them back. parang ni rent ko nalang. the monies they get is to fun schools so ok na rin.

yung isang hospital rin near us has a waiting room na may books.  baka local sa pinas may ganun and you can drop off the books or sa library ng university niyo. i plan doing either one for the ones i can part with. yan lang ang mahirap pag may attachment sa libro.

i just saw this and i really want to post it. kasi wala pa akong nakikitang public library dito sa pinas na pwedeng humiram ng book. except for this. wow talaga!

As for my reference books, I keep them all even the old ones. You'll never know when you'll need to refer to them in the future. Pero siguro pag mga pocket books, trade for other old pocket books na hindi pa nabasa.

They're just in my bookshelves..wala lang, gusto ko lang sila titigan..memorable kasi lahat sila sa akin..given by mom and exes and friends..but more of them talaga i bought, tinipid ko allowance ko during college days ko..even when im no longer in my parent's house (kasi andon pa rin sa room ko before yung old books ko)alam na alam ko pag may nagkulang sa kanila..i dont know, basta alam ko lang..

we have a mini library at home and i keep all my books there--from hisgh school textbooks to college books as well as reference books and novels. yung novels sort of collection ko na so i dont want to get rid of them pero yung gradeschool books idodonate ko na,siguro isasama ko na rin yung highschool books

I keep them. Binibilhan ko pa ng dehumidifier para hindi mag dilaw dilaw. Baka maging crunchy na ang pages and by the time na gusto ko basahin ay scroll type na hehe

Oh... how do you use it sis? nakalagay yung books in an enclosed space, like a shelf with sliding covers o big plastic storage boxes you normally see at department stores, tapos nandun din yung dehumidifier? where do you purchase it? i'm interested in how it works... ayaw ko ding magmala-scrolls yung books ko.

^Our books are kept in a cabinet with glass doors. Normally mauubos itong dehumidifier in 2-3months. Isa lang needed ko for the entire cabinet (hindi naman kalakihan ang cabinet). I bought these Kiwi dehumidifier sa local grocery dito (Fairprice in Singapore). Hindi lang ako sure kung meron ganyan sa atin dyan sa pinas.
