Napaisip sa Binondo at Recto.  Subukan kong yayain yung sasama sakin na friend, suhulan ko na lang ng food trip.   Makabili lang talaga ng fountain pen.

Now onto the delicate topic of fountain pen-friendly paper and notebooks.

FP use is tricky because most of the paper products available in the market are either expensive or not FP-friendly. However, in my experience, here are the most FP-friendly:

- Scribe (love them with the hardcover, pagemarker and elastic)
- Daycraft (Scribe has these notebooks on stock)
- Blue Feather (choose notebooks with the not-so-white paper)
- Green Apple
- Yeah! (the new notebooks have better paper, I'm using one now)
- Venzi (NBS had these before the school opening in May-June)
- Kokuyo Loose Leaf (P125/pack lang!
- Modo Arte (these are new ones sa NBS. Choosy sa pens, but ok na.)
- Eagle Notebook (the ones with stripes plastic cover na colorful - available sa Office Warehouse. I use this sa office.)
- Derwent (Powerbooks has these)
- Leuchturn (meron sa Rustans)
- Bibliarch has a wide selection of notebooks from Miquelrius, Sequenz, etc. Kinda expensive but sulit naman.)

So far these are the available notebooks from our corner of the world.

May kinalaman dun sa notebook/paper for fountain pen, may certain texture ba ng paper na magandang gamitin?

^Wag masyadong glossy lol Pansin ko kasi dun sa Cambridge notepad ko eh nag-slide lang yung ink. Yung Pelikan blue black ang gamit ko kaya nagpalit ako ng ibang pad. Nakabili ako ng bago pero maliit sa Saizen, yung Complete Report Pad B yung name. Pero so far, ok yung inks sa Daycraft, Moleskine and Scribe. Yan palang nata-try ko

So I called Scribe kanina to asked about the Pelikan M205 Duo. Ewan ko ha kung pareho ba kami ng iniisip nung kausap ko kasi blue yung sabi niya while ako eh neon yellow haha Pero sabi niya ang price daw eh P6800. Kung ganun ang price, mag-collect nalang ako ng Stabilo Boss haha

Clem!!! *excited mode* I braved Recto na and if I were a man, I'd marry you but I'm not and that is a good thing. I don't mean to sound lesbianic and nonsensical but you are so right, the place is a gold mine, di ako nagsisi although it was already past 5 when I went there. Thanks talaga for sharing. I'll post my finds, not much for FP collectors, but for mini me happy na ako dun. What I forgot to look into . . . the old notebooks (slaps self).

@sis clem, I have a scribe too. I love it more than moleskine paper. kokuyo paper is love!

last year's starbucks planner loved all my ink and FPs. Hindi ko lang alam if they used the same paper this year. Hindi ko type yung planner this year so I didn't make the effort to get one. I'm using "This planner could change someone's life" and so far so good. No bleeds no feathering.

masaya talaga sa recto. 'di siya nakakatakot talaga basta madami dami kayo, wala kayong dalang pera masyado saka medyo gusgusin hitsura niyo haha. yan din formula ko for divisoria, though medyo mas secure pakiramdam ko sa divi kaya keri kahit ako lang. seriously, ang ayoko lang sa recto, naliligaw ako sa mga kalye. saka yung mga padaan daan sa overpass at underpass.

^haha! I feel safer in Divi or Baclaran than in Recto too! Ewan ko ba bakit pero ganun ang feeling ko talaga pag nasa Recto ako (or Quiapo).

Happy for you Pomegranate! Sana you went to Corona din. Super dami stuff! When we went there I was able to buy a 10x loupe for less than P200! (I use that to have a closer look at my pens'
 nibs, etc. Post your stuff ha!

I love Scribe!!! I use it for my fountain pen ink reviews. It's waaaaay lot better than Moleskine, though I've given up on that notebook a long time ago.

What I noticed with Kokuyo paper lang, it has the tendency to make my pens feel dry wheh I write on it. But it's ok. I also got the binder in clear (white) and blue.

I got this year's Starbucks planner, and so far, friends sila ng FPs ko.

Hihi...I got my first fountain pen today!   I got the Parker Jotter.  Makapal nga yung ink pero ayos lang.  Gusto ko lang muna siyang pag-practisan.  I want to see how I will write legibly with it.

Sa wakas nakapag-Scribe ako kanina. Buti mataas EQ ko at di ko binili si Pelikan. Kelangan talaga tatay ko bumili nun haha I just got J. Herbin Perle Noire quink.

Grabe, I was lusting over the Pelikan M205 Duo talaga. Yung may Highlighter Ink. Ang ganda sa personal! At ang ganda pa rin talaga ng price. At 2 nalang meron lol

CONGRATS!!! I have 2 Jotters. Both are with medium nibs, white barrel and chrome caps. But I had one of the nibs ground to a stub. Now it writes so beatufilly. I actually used it in one of my recent ink reviews here: http://archer-rantings.blogspot.com/2011/01/ink-review-diamine-majestic-blue.html

^ Level up ka na talaga sis Heatherette, Pelikan na talaga conquest mo. Ako ay ligaw-tingin na lang muna haha and I'm really lusting over the J. Herbin Inks. Tama nga sabi ni Clem e, once you have the FPs, next will be the ink and the paper.
