amoebiasis.. help

Mga mommies, my 1 year old and 6 months baby had amebiasis din. She was given by her pedia Flagyl for 10 days, 7ml 3x a day which means 21ml lahat. She was also given erceflora for 5 days. Tapos e-zinc for healing. Kakatapos lang nya sa flagyl kahapon. Pina-stool exam ko sya and no ova or parasite seen na, yet loose pa rin poops nya. Napaparanoid ako baka meron pa rin sya amoeba.

Clueless: my 3.8yo daughter's fecalysis today showed amoebiasis too. I think we have the same homeopath doctor, and if i'm not mistaken, ikaw yung na mention ni dra na patient with mommy na confine ang kid and prescribed with homeopath meds at ayaw na ayaw magantibiotics   i hope her meds wil work on my daughter too.

My daughter has watery poop also but when we had a stool exam last Sunday, there was no parasites or amoeba detected but there are plenty of bacteria. Pedia said it could lead to amoebiasis, so she also gave meds, flagyl 5ml 3x a day for 7 days, probiotics once a day for 5 days, e-zinc 2.5ml once a day for 2 weeks and also gave gatorade. Still monitoring her poop but as of yesterday, since after lunch til 7pm, hindi sya nag poop. Sabi ng friend ko effective talaga yung probiotic pampatigas ng poop.

@Mai: ang hirap ng may amoebiasis. My baby had a very bad case of diaper rash din when she had amoebiasis because of the frequent pooping.

We were given antibiotics na once when baby's bad cough wouldnt go away. Ayaw ko nga but it was needed na at that point so i asked the doctor about giving probiotics regularly (usually kasi this is prescribed lang pag may diarrhea or amoebiasis nga). She approved it naman but start only a few days after her last dose of antibiotics, dont take them at the same time daw. I had to order probiotics powder oa from the US but we've been taking it daily for a month na, even my husband and me.

I hope the homeopathic meds work on your daughter. Super happy kami kasi they work on my daughter. Plus hindi sya mahirap bigyan kasi water medicine at powder/sugar medicine lang.

Clueless: si Dra din nagbigay ng antibiotics for your child's cough? My daughter naman has been taking probiotics since she was 6months old until now, it's part of my kids supplement talaga.
Can you remember how long nag Arsenicum and Carbo baby mo for her amoebiasis? Ty

^ yup, sya din. Matagal ko na gusto magbigay ng probiotics but i couldnt find here yung powder type na mura kaya recently lang kami nagstart. But when she had amoebiasis, erceflora din binigay.

Di ko na matandaan how long kami nag carbo and arsenicum. Pero after duscharge from the hospital, binigyan din kami ng zinc and vitamin A yata.

nakakatigas ba ng poop ang probiotics? kasi 4th day na siya nagte take ng probiotics pero hindi pa rin buo poop niya eh.

^ sis, hindi siya nakakatigas ng poop per se.

my baby doesn't have diarrhea nor amoebiasis now but she takes probiotics daily because it helps regulate her poop plus it has other health benefits.

Worried ako kasi watery pa rin ang poop ng baby ko til now. Nung Saturday pa yun. Less na nga lang ang poop, pero watery pa rin. Sabi ng pedia, palitan daw muna ng lactose free na milk. Anyone done this? Ano recommended niyo na milk?

My 3 year old son has Amoebiasis before his 2nd birthday. Almost a month din yung treatment sis para mawala na talaga. But we were told by his Pedia na once nagka amoeba na daw yung bata e prone na sa ganun and may possibility na bumalik pa. Sterilized din lahat ng gamit niya and Wilkins water niya upto now.

Sabi sa amin dati, baka daw yung water niya na pampaligo e nalulunok niya kapag binabasa na yung hair niya. Kaya during that time e mineral water gamit namin kapag sa hair. Better na yun kesa bumalik na naman si ba.

Pa fecalysis mo ulit yung baby mo. just to make sure na ok na siya. =)

May follow up check up kame sa Monday sa Pedia niya after she complete the 7 day antibiotic na nireseta sa kanya.

^ Ah, hindi pa pala tapos yung antibiotics niya e. Normal lang yan sis. Mawawala din yan. Pakainin mo nalang ng saging and madaming water.

Ganun ba ang effect gn flagyl? Hanggang Monday pa siya iinom nun eh. Pinapakain ko nga ng saging tapos palainom naman siya ng water, tapos binibigyan ko din siya ng gatorade.

Bawal ang chuckie diba? Eh yung yakult? Bawal ba yun sa ngayon?

^dont give dairy milk or chocolate, anything with cassein and gluten bec those 2 foodgroups are the hardest to digest, kelangan pagpahingahin ang bituka from the trauma of having those parasites kaya pinapa avoid muna ng docs ito. Yakult me milk din yun, give juice instead, and a separate probiotic

My baby has amoebiasis rin and she's been taking the meds for 10 days na. Now, she has fever, cough and colds. Continue ko pa ba yung meds niya for amoebiasis kahit ok na naman ang poop niya for 3 days na? My gosh, hindi ko na alam gagawin ko, hindi pa nga siya nakaka recover from amoeba, eto na naman ang panibagong sakit..

^^ sis, better check with the pedia, pero dapat tapusin pa rin ang antibiotic.

Nagpa check up na kame kanina at sinabi ko na hindi pa rin talagang matigas ang poop ng baby ko pero hindi din siya watery. Ok na daw yun sabi ng pedia, yun nga lang be cautious kasi pwede nga bumalik and if it happens, magpa stool exam daw agad.

mga sis,ano ba signs kapag may amoebiasis si baby? Si baby ko kasi nag diarrhea,nung first day nya nilagnat sya then pina check ko sabi lang ng pedia try ko bawasan yung scoop ng milk nya and painumin ko lang ng glucolyte. Yung pupu nya hindi naman sobrang watery ang worry ko lang parang may sipon and every after feeding sya nag pupupu. Wala na syang lagnat ngayon pero ganun parin yung pupu nya.Second option ni pedia na mag try ako ng NAN Al110 milk pero ganun parin every after feeding parin sya nag pupupu at still parang may sipon pero hindi na watery. Okay naman si baby naglalaro at hindi naman sumasakit tummy nya kapag pupupu.Ano ba signs kapag may amoebiasis?
