Just got back from our Ilocos Tour.
We stayed for 2 nights at
Ate Cathy's homestay. The rooms were basic pero very clean. Yun lang, naghahanap un brothers ko ng TV which is di naman available sa room. Sabi ni Ate Cathy, may TV daw sa main dining area for guests, kaya lang minsan daw pag magkakaibang groups with children, they end up fighting for the remote/tv channels kaya daw tinatanggal nya na lang. Super bait ni Ate, we asked for extra pillows and borrowed extension cord and hangers, and she accomodated our request naman.
On our 3rd night, we stayed at
Grandpa's Inn. We were a group of 6 and we stayed dun sa other wing ng Grandpa's, extension yun I guess. Yun room namin is nasa dulo na, super dami ng lamok! So we complained and nagspray naman agad sila and naglagay ng mga katol sa labas ng room. So when we got back after our tour, it was ok.
Kuya Arnel was really very nice. Napaka-maasikaso and lagi nakaalalay. Pag nakikita nya na parang meron isa sa amin na naliligaw or may kailangan, lalapit agad to guide us.
On our first day, inulan yun tour namin sa Pagudpud. But that didn't stop us from taking pics kahit medyo may ambon, go pa rin! Buti di naman kami nagkasakit. Sa Blue Lagoon na kami inabutan ng lunch, dun kami dinala ni Kuya Arnel sa
Mekeni Palutuan. We had grilled fish, adobong pusit, ensaladang eggplant with salted egg, and a little of longganisa. Total wallet damage was only Php 660, 8 pax na nagshare dun. Tapos nung hapon, since maginaw, we wanted sabaw for dinner. We asked Kuya Arnel to bring us to a place which serves soup. He brought us to
Mika's Place - lomi and miki naman sineserve nila dun. Masarap naman and mura - P30 lang yun miki and P45 yun solo bowl ng lomi. These 2 places are carinderia style lang, so not for those na medyo maselan.
We were not able to visit the
Cape Bojeador Lighthouse.
Sinara because may shooting yun ABS-CBN soap. True enough, nakasabay namin sa airport si Coco Martin and Julia Montes on their flight back to Manila.
We tried yun Empanada sa Burgos Plaza sa Vigan. Dun sa place na matao sa may gilid ng plaza mismo, Php 30 yun empanada pero di halata na may longganisa yun.
The other empanada place na nagiisa lang sa gilid ng kalsada, across David's salon and next to Asuncion Inn ata yun, dun mas masarap, although you have to add Php5 more.
On our last day, we had lunch at
Hidden Garden. The place is superb.
Mapapagod ka kakaikot so magugutom ko. Haha! We had our lunch there. Their pinakbet is great, but their bagnet was a big letdown. Hindi crunchy.
Since disappointed kami sa bagnet ng Hidden Garden, we asked Kuya Arnel to bring us to a place na pwedeng mabilhan ng Bagnet na maiuuwi. He suggested na sa market na lang daw. So dun na kami bumili pati longganisa. Bagnet was for Php360 per kilo.
Yun
Marsha's Delicacies sa Burgos Plaza was closed na. So I asked him to bring us to their main branch in Bantay. I was surprised, it was a great shop for pasalubong!
Mas mura and andun na lahat!
May bagnet sila, properly packed, mukhang malinis at mainit pa yun bagnet nila dun when we got there, so halatang bagong luto. Their longganisa was a little cheaper than the public market's pa daw sabi ng mom ko. And yun tablea (cocoa) na binili namin sa Calle Crisologo for Php 55, Php 45 lang sa kanila. They also have the Pasuquin Bakery's Biscocho for sale. (I think this Biscocho was over rated, I didn't find anything special in it. Well, this is just for me.) And their Bibingka was really yummy! Kakaibang bibingka sya, parang casava? Pero yum!
