Anyone into Muay Thai?

Just curious, meron ba kayo alam where I can watch Muay Thai fights live here in Manila like the ones in Thailand?

^ There are fights organised by several MT groups/chapters but none are fixed or regular stints like the ones in Rajadamnern or Lumpinee. If you want to watch sis, I can post it here pag meron.

^ Sure. Yea, I'd love to go to Thailand to watch Lumpinee fights before it closes down and train at a muay thai camp and ultimately fight (and win). I hope to see my favorite nak muay; Saenchai. hehe.

Sis Layla: May fight this Sunday March 3 in Victory Mall, I think there are 30 bouts. And another on March 16 at this gym in Don Antonio (where I will also be fighting), dunno the name yet but it's defo not Elorde.

do you guys know if okay lang to go into this kahit not fit? Im on the border of overwieght to obese kasi yung weight ko. I use to be an athlete tapos nung late years sa college nag.gain weight ako when I stopped training.

I mean kakayanin ko ba mag Muay Thai kahit medyo may bigat ako? I want to get back in shape kasi.

^I'm not an expert but I think kaya naman. I see a few Muay Thai practitioners who are bordering obese. It would be hard pero sa umpisa lang yun. MT is a great exercise to lose weight kasi hindi siya boring unlike using gym equipment, which can be monotonous. O kaya start ka muna mag-boxing para di mabigla yung katawan mo na may elbow/knee/leg stikes kaagad. Pero regardless, kailangan talaga may willpower and self-motivation to be able to start and sustain a new sport/physical activity. If you want it bad enough then you'll succeed. Good luck!

Hi..

I'm just new here and I came across this page in search for muay thai..
Gusto ko po kasing mag-enroll, kaya lang wala akong alam dito sa Makati area..
My friends say that muay thai is a great way to loose weight or to tone down and for self defense na rin daw..

May alam po ba kayo kung saan meron? I just got back here in Pinas so I don't know my way around.. Maraming salamat po in advance..

sa elorde meron boxing and muay thai. pag sporty ka baka makayanan mo ito. otherwise, ok rin boxing for losing weight and is easier.

may bagong bukas na branch ang Elorde near us. i want to try. but takot baka hindi ko kayanin hehe a friend tried and sumuka daw siya after. guy pa ito.

I will Muay Thai before the year ends. Some days, I just really want to hit something. The gym is no longer offering me the release that I need. Bitin na for my level of aggression. Haha.

Ang sarap ng Muay Thai! I love! Will try to do this regularly, kahit 2x a week. Will scout for gloves and hand wraps this weekend.
