^^ i dont see the point of having a lesson plan if di naman nila susundin. tsk tsk

^ sis i think around 7k. from the very start my instructor had been saying na i should go for 2hours kasi mas okay. eh my mom was out of town so i cant pay for 2hours/day fee nun and besides just because i went for the 1 hour means i'll have substandard lessons?! sobra naman siya! so nung we were talking sa car, he overheard kasi nung kausap ko yung sa registrar na babae na bakit di nakakalayo, etc etc, kinausap niya ako about it nung nagdrive kami and sabi pa naman "kung gusto mo makalayo, mag2hours ka". wth, i know it to be true but i didn't like his tone and i find it rude.
that was my point sis. same lang ang tinuturo sa akin eversince the first day. then i called kanina yung main branch ata and they told me na if may di naturo based on the lesson plan, i should've told the registrar. i was never informed of that little detail by the registrar from my smart branch. my mom nga was telling me, yung plan daw niya from them was 2hrs/day and she was just going around the same shiz i was going around, and that was for two hours! tsk tsk. they are so profit oriented. kala ko maganda sila. kung di talaga ako nagcomplain, walang mangyayari. i dont want to complain and look like "maarte/macomplain" na customer pero if i wont complain then i'll not learn anything, so sorry to them.

tapos one thing pa, i dont know if may policy sila na they can just give my number to my instructor just because he asked. on my 2nd day i got a text from the secretary na if pwede ba ako magparesched to an earlier time kasi pupunta somewhere yung instructor ko, i dont have anything against that, but a few minutes after that text, an unknown number was calling and texting me. turned it it was my instructor. dapat di nila bigla bigla pinamimigay number ko and if they want to reach me, it should be thru the secretary then! i'm a 24 years old female, my instructor is like a 30's male (idk if married or what) they should've known better and protect my privacy.

Any good/"horror" feedback at A1 SM North? Hihi.

And question pala, okay lang ba di maka attend ng lectures?  ;D

I'm taking driving lessons at Red 1 located at Mercedes Ave. Pasig and I'm pretty happy with their service. Yung 10 hrs package nila yung inavail ko (2hrs per day) and since they relocated here from Kapasigan branch, they offered me their inauguration promo of additional 2 hours so all in all 12 hours na ko. Yay!

So far masaya and okay talaga yung instructor ko (Sir Larry/Daryl ??? Omg di ko maalala, ask ko ulit) for the first 4 hours. Marami kaaagad naturo and marami rin kaming napupuntahan kahit nung 2nd hour ko palang, pati mga turns and U-turns naturo na.
The next day (3rd-4th hour) umabot na ko hanggang C5, makati, and taguig! Learned how to park in different angles as well pati yung mga 2-point-turn and 3-point turn. I thought sobrang sulit. Plus ang bait ng instructor and magaling, not the type na palaging nakahawak sa steering wheel, he just advised me when to turn and so unless sobrang fail ko na talaga. :))

HOWEVER, ngayong 5th-6th hour ko, nag-iba instructor and sobrang nabanas ako sa instructor ko, he was kind too but I didnt like his way of teaching. He was constantly stepping on the break too so technically umabot nga kaming mandaluyong today pero damn. I wanted to comment na technically di ko maapply mga natutunan ko or di ko ma-hone yung skills ko kasi he did all the turns. Gosh, I was really irritated nakasimangot ako for 2hrs straight. Panira ng beauty yung instructor na yun. I hate him. Magrereklamo ako bukas.

I enrolled at A1 alabang town center.

I'm planning to enroll in a driving school. My sister took her driving course in Gear 1 but she recommended to enroll in Smart instead cause she thinks it's a lot better there, or better yet the course they have is more comprehensive. Any feedback on Smart Driving School? Or which driving school would you recommend mga sis? I'm from Paranaque by the way :)

^ Which branch did you enroll sis iwannabeasupermodel? Maybe, depends on the branch lang din. I've read good feedback naman in A1 and Smart on this thread. And yun na kasi yung pinakamalapit samin.

Nag enroll ako sa red 1 for 5 hours. As in beginners ako. Miss ko na ulit mag driving school so  i enrolled again, kaso wala kong nakuhang schedule agad agad, so i have to wait 1 week pa yung naibigay na schedule ko,

So for the meantime nag request ako kay hubby na sya magturo sakin , tinuruan nya ko kanina..kaso sobrang conscious ako kasma ko kids plus the kids is marami sinasabi nilloloko ako na dami daw nakatingin sa likod tinatawanan  daw ako lol, so bumabagsak focus ko and motivation ko plus si hubby is parang masungit magturo.napaandar ko naman kaso feel ko hes disappointed with my driving..shempre naman 5 hours lang ako nag driving school im not a fast learner.pero  i know i can, sanay ako sa kalsada malakas loob ko magmotor, nalilito lang ako at marami ng dapat isa alang alang at isipin, cluch, brake, gas, gears, mirrors. Tapos sinama pa nya kids namin on our way to mall tinuturuan nya ko, napaiyak ako nawala ko sa focus kase pagliko ko di ko naibalik manibela sumampa sa bangketa. ,, bagsak na bagsak motivation ko pag hubby ko nagtuturo kinakabahan ako pero nung instructor ko, i know im getting ok, nagkakaroon ako ng confidence.

Hinde na muna ako magpapaturo sa hubby ko hanngat hinde pako marunong na marunong, nawawalan ako ng gana sa kanya, parang pag sya magtuturo sakin lalo ako maiistress.i will go back  to driving school , wala na ko paki sa kanya.. I will do what i want.yung goal ko matuto ako magdrive.. Hays..so frustrated, hurt , napahiya.. Zero confidence ulet dahil sa kanya .

The one time na nagiba yung instructor ko was actually the best class i had. He gave me confidence and allowed me to decide for myself as to when to change gear and all that. Cool lang siya at hindi anal. Yung constant instructor ko kasi sobrang anal and  lahat ng gagawin ko sinasabi niya, making me powerless to decide. All he does is criticize me and sobrang strict.

Honda driving school. they're organized, they have their own manual and checklist and they have their own tracks. I had a classmate who came from A1 but refreshed her skills at Honda.

hello ladies :) i was searching for driving schools a few weeks ago and came across this thread. 3 weeks ago, DH decided to buy a car for me since we transferred to a place that is not readily accessible by puv. Either you wait for the shuttle na isa lang or you walk :P forcing me to go to a driving school.

i don't have experience in driving. unless you count bumper cars as vehicles. so i paid for 5 hours in Gear1 biƱan (P4,500), as recommended by the receptionist. he said i can pay for additional lessons 800p/hr. 3 hours daytime driving, and 2 hours night time. with 4 hours lecture.

unfortunately parang kulang na kulang sya. I felt unsatisfied with the course. yes, sinabak ako agad sa main road, pinadaan sa traffic etc. 3 hours of non stop driving the 1st day nanginig kaya ang buong katawan ko sa nerbyos at pagod. hahaha! same with the 2 hours driving lesson the next day. pina park ako 1x but that was it. so in the end, i learned how to step on the gas and to stop, but not the important lesson in parking or turning in corners. puro salita lang, you should do this, do that, but not actual training. and since they had their own foot brake pedal, who knows kung sino talaga nag drive during that 5 hours hehe.

so yesterday, i saw one ad ng private driving instructor. 12 hours lesson (he charged me 6,500 because it will be at my place) and we are to do our lesson tomorrow agad. he will go to our place we are to meet at the house and we will use my car. maghanda raw ako ng plastic bottles (as cones i suppose) to learn how to park etc. am looking forward to tomorrow's lesson. if that still doesn't work, then i will try HSDS haha

from reading the tread, i saw that some people were ok with the driving school, others were not. i guess it depends of the trainer and trainee. the older i am the more cautious i have become. and less able to pick up lessons haha. and i have to tell you, halos maloka ako sa nerbyos at takot during the 1st few days of driving, but it has now lessened because i forced myself to drive even a few minutes daily.

so i wish all of us here luck and safe driving :) i hope the private driving instructor i will get tom is good.

^ hi sis thanks for the reminder. And siempre need to take a photo of his license para alam sino kasama ko. Mahirap na hehe.

Anyways just a note to share to student drivers.  I called LTO office and was told that we can be accompanied by either pro or non-pro licensed holder. Sa website nila it just says accompanied by licensed person.

I've finished my driving lessons from Red 1. I highly recommend this driving school. Red 1 is a sister company of A1, it's the more affordable kind but they said the quality of service is pretty much the same, the only difference is that A1 use cars which are more expensive than the regular driving schools (including Red 1).

The instructors were nice (tho i encountered one na nakakaBV) and matututo ka talaga. Unlike instructors from other driving schools that were mentioned here, Red 1 instructors are really polite and friendly. They don't shout at you and criticize you. They were so patient with me. Plus, they encouraged me to do as I want (pag gusto ko na magshift gears, mag turn, etc.), so long as I felt that okay na yung pacing to do so. Nakakatuwa rin na parang nagro-roadtrip kami kasi most of the time, iba ibang lugar napupuntahan namin. They would even ask you where you wanna go or kung ano ba raw yung usual itinerary ko, etc para ma-try ko daw on my own.

Thumbs up sa service nila. And I saw sa stickers nila sa cars nila na sila pala yung 2013 Most Outstanding Driving School. :))

^^yes it was cheap but I know they have already increased their fees since then. they use honda city as practice cars. but before they engage you with practical lessons, you will learn the theory first classroom-style. you'll get to have a passport (report card) where each instructor who has handled you gets to grade you. pina retake ako sa crank course (course 4) but ok naman ako sa s-course. you'll also be given a handbook for your review. If matapos mo na ang course 6, then they'll engage you to the expressway na. andaming celebrity na rin pala ang nag-graduate sa kanila. pahirapan nga lang sa scheduling coz companies like coke, globe, etc. block some dates for their own tutorial.
