Yung sister ng friend ko na freelance mua nagtuturo ng basic makeup, 5k lang pero may kasama na basic brushes + 1 on 1 consultation - parang the mua will go shopping/give personalized consult on the 2nd day.

Ako din parang gusto ko mag aral ng makeup pero sobrang dami na kasi ng makeup artists now parang mass produced na.

^^agree ako diyan na parang mass produced na ang make up artists. honestly I believe that not just cause someone went to a make up school one can be called a make up artist already. I think being a make up artist comes with talent as well. Dapat rin kasi marunong siya with color harmonies and what not, otherwise no matter how good the application is it will still look off.

^Mas parang macoconsider ko pang makeup artist ang isang nag makeup school na ACTUAL na nag work sa makeup counter, well thats for me ha. Kasi at least nagagamit nila ang napag aralan nila. Tinanong ko ano ibig sabihin ng "professional" makeup artist ang sabi sa akin is it means ito daw ang bread and butter nila meaning dito sila nabubuhay

kasi sabi nung babae sa makeup counter aside fr going to makeup school for a year (huh) may trainings pa sila within the company plus she seeks trainings pa outside the company. sabi ko ay ate ang hirap nyang sinasabi mo pang basic school lang ako

^yes thats true may training pa sila from the company, especially for companies like MAC, Bobbi Brown, etc. may international trainer pa sila na pumupunta dito to train them.

I think one can be a make up artist with or without formal education to back it up, madami nga diyan na self taught lang pero you can see na magaling talaga, that is why I think being a make up artist it comes with talent, passion and true dedication.

Hi guys, sino na ang professional make up artist here? ask ko lang kung nakapag airbrush lesson na ba kayo and how was it? I mean with the gun, the product and the school na napili niyo? planning to enroll and hoard airbrush product soon. pero no idea what best items to buy based on asian skins. thanks a lot

^they probably have a website or facebook page you can look into, or you can find their number and inquire that way they can also answer other questions that you might have.

Hi mga sis

buti i stumbled upon this thread, andaming reviews very helpful.. May mga hits and misses din pala sa CAS, yun ang preferred school ko but now I'm contemplating kasi if ever, ayoko naman mangyare sakin yung experience ni pex.. I plan to get pa naman yung diploma course nila..

Sa mga sis din dyan na nakarinig ng tungkol sa makeup classes at FIP, I wouldn't suggest it. Yung friend ko enrolled there, under Louise Dizon-she was the teacher at that time. Horrible experience daw. Yung teacher, according to her is skilled, but not really that talented. Tapos she sensed na hindi daw ganun ka generous when it comes to teaching- you'll notice daw na may questions na hindi nya gustong sagutin, madamot sa knowledge (maybe cos yun nga lang ang meron siya). And naninimbang ng students-mas nice siya sa mga maperang students according to my friend.

Ni-check ko pa naman rates nung sa FIP makeup class, ok sana.. pero definitely, scratch na to sa list ko.
