Librarians : 25-45k. May mga small companies offering as only 16k starting salary but most librarians don't accept salaries that low because they know na in demand ang trabaho kasi konti lang naman librarians sa mundo. hehe

sabi nila you can't work sa public hospitals kung walang backer. is it true? naawa ako sa brother ko. he had to give up his dream of being a nurse dahil mukhang wala talagang future...

i must agree. nurses here in the phils are really underpaid, overworked. no wonder, talagang gusto nila makapagabroad. consider pa na mas mahal ang tuition sa medical schools. grabe, parang not so worth it.

kahit san naman ata mas maganda if you have connections. Lalo sa mga government agencies.. Pero sa pgh may backer system pero dame dun na ala naman backer pero nakapasok. With nurses pahirapan lang talaga kasi konti [textspeak!] slots dame nagaapply.

^yes sis RN ako. nagamit ko lang siya for a couple of months 6 months to be exact volunteer nurse sa east ave med ctr and I must say daig ko pa trabaho ng janitors dun, pero pinagsikapan ko lahat ng utos ng nakakataas nagbabakasakaling ma absorb ending? wala, naku drama na ito.

sa call center, depende kung saang company ka mapunta at anong account, salary range is as low as 12k and as high as 25k for an agent position

allowance, bonuses, etc may or may not be included.

kahit pa naman supply and demand, I think nurses should NOT be paid at minimum wage.  Ang laborer, yes kung magstart sila magtrabaho, min wage.  Pero nurses?  Hindi dapat. Kasi they care for the sick, at may hazard pang involved sa occupation nila.  Parang police and guards din.

8k!  grabe, mas malaki pa kita ng yaya, tapos wala pang gastos sa transpo and lodging.

IMO, it is not the occupation, it is in the company.  an MNC can pay double compared to a local company.  May isang post nga dito Jobstreet salaries.  I find the salaries low, kasi siguro most likely the companies posted there are local companies.  For MNCs kasi for some reason, mas malaki talaga sila magpasahod kasi mas malaki ang base nila.

Mapapayo ko nga din sa mga fresh grads to always get reputable companies (MNCs) kahit pa mas mababa ang sweldo mo sa umpisa.  Eventually, once you transfer jobs, either within the company or outside, nasa resume mo yung name ng company, mas madali ma recognize ng ibang companies, moreso, kahit sa ibang bansa.

When I started work, may mga pinagpipilian akong job.  Swerte lang siguro kasi yung MNC inofferan ako ng starting position with a little over the minimum wage (+P500 lang siguro above min wage).  2 banks kasi offered me min wage kaya hindi ko pinursue. Pero ok din naman magwork sa banko (as I have posted above - busog ka sa benefits).  And then I saw this opportunity - secretary P15k sa XXX (isang international agency, wont mention nalang the name).  I told my mom, wow that's 3x as much as my best offer.  Pero mom knows best ikanga.  Sabi nya kasi, you can get P15k now, but after that, baka mahirapan ako magtransfer ng work, or if I want to explore another career etc.  True enough, after 3 years working in an MNC, I compared my pay with ADB, mas ok nga.

Dont get me wrong, nothing wrong naman working as a secretary. Pero point is, if you could choose the jobs you could be in, try to pick the ones that has a potential to earn higher in the future. or stepping stone to a higher pay. Puedeng hindi pa mataas ang offer at the moment, pero once you gain experience, may potential you can land to the ideal pay you desire.
