Wisdom Tooth Extraction - Thread 2

^Katatapos ko lang ipa-extract yung wisdom teeth ko last week sis. I'm turning 29. Wala naman naging complication basta ok yung dentist mo siguro.  Sabay ko pa pinabunot lower left and right wisdom teeth ko. Para makasigurado ka sis sa dental surgeon ka na lang pumunta.

I just want to share my experience with Dr. Uy. Ok naman siya and sobrang bait. The only pain I felt was the injection of anesthesia at after mag wear out yung anesthesia. Before the surgery, he explained everything from pre-op, yung procedure and post-op. I didn't have to ask anything kasi lahat inexplain niya. My follow-up ako after two weeks to check kung damaged na yung katabing teeth.

After the surgery, pinakita sa yung wisdom teeth ko, sobrang sira na yung right at may nakakapasok na food debris kaya daw sumasakit na siya. Tapos yung left naman may konting sira na din kaya good decision talaga na pinasabay ko na din ipabunot. Sobrang maga ng face ko after ng surgery. Napagkamalan tuloy akong tumaba.  Nakaraos na din ako wala na yung painful na wisdom tooth ko. LOL

Sis jhaney, magkaiba pa ba yung Dental Surgeon at Surgeon? No idea as in. Although yung dentist ko ay super gaan ng kamay sa cleaning, di ko pa sure kung ok sya sa extraction esp impacted wisdom teeth...

^^Sis chedz.03, I'm not sure sis. Maraming klase kasi ang surgeon so I think kung sa ngipin sa dental/oral surgeon ka pupunta. Kung okay naman sa palagay mo yung dentist mo, then go ka na sis. Mas mahirap kasi pag patatagalin mo yan. Ako din kasi sobrang sakit na ng right wisdom tooth ko na bawat kain ko natitrigger yung pain. Baka may infection na yan sis so better have it checked na din.

Update ko lang kayo mga sis. Hayyy hindi pala yung wisdom tooth ko ang sumasakit kundi yung katabi na molar. Both molar ko left and right (lower) na katabi ng wisdom ay nabutas na sa gilid hanggang loob. Kaya the dentist decided iyun ang bunutin instead na yung wisdom teeth ko. Sabi nya kapag nagkaroon na ng space ay lalabas at tatayo din yung wisdom since slightly impacted lang naman sya actually nakalabas na nga halos. Since may bite problem din ako, nilagyan nalang nya ako ng brace. Hay naku hirap hirap mawalan ng molar. Kung di lang sira hindi ko ipapaalis.

i had 2 wisdom teeth removed yesterday.  so far, same as what i have expected.  depende talaga lahat sa pain tolerance ng mag-u-undergo ng oral surgery

nice thing mataas pain tolerance ko kaya bukod sa maga lang at uncomfortable yong sa part na inalis sa akin, wala na ibang problema no worries na ko tuloy ako sa ipin ko.  inalis na rin braces ko kaya masaya na ko, hehhehe

Sis super late na 'to, may facial changes ba after your wisdom teeth extraction? Lower wisdom teeth ba tinanggal? I had two lower wisdom teeth removed kasi and tatanggalin palang braces ko.

I'm already 23 years old and I still have my wisdom tooth. Why? Yung iba di ba as early as their 18 years old natatanggal na.

Ako din may impacted wisdom tooth, I think over 2 years na ito pero kahapon lang sumakit. I called for an appointment kay Dr. Uy sa Pasay branch this Friday. Kinakabahan ako kasi ayoko talaga ng nagpapabunot ng ngipin. So this will be my first wisdom tooth extraction...kaasar magka-away pa kami ng hubby ko so malamang wala akong kasama para magbigay sa akin ng moral support this Friday....huhuhu. Pero go na ito kesa lumala

Factor pala ang age pag magpapatanggal ng wisdom tooth? Why? I think I have impacted wisdom tooth pero di naman masakit but I want to have it removed din soon.

I had my wisdom tooth checked up a day before my scheduled appointment with Dr. Uy...yung wisdom tooth ko pala is hindi naman impacted kaya lang pala masakit yung gums ko kasi may singaw hahaha. So anyway, there's no need to remove it kasi di naman daw impacted, hindi nga lang sya naka-align with the rest of my teeth. Happy na rin at least no more extraction. Maayos na ulit ako nakakatulog kasi super na-stressed ako sa kaiisip kung gaano kasakit ang extraction

I'm scheduled to undergo impacted wisdom tooth surgery this week. Kinakabahan na ko. My dentist said mga 1 hour daw yun any preparations ba prior the surgery?

1 had 4 of my impacted wisdom teeth extracted all of the same day. I felt lang na nangapal yung lips ko pero no pain at all. Talagang magaling lang yung dentist ko.

I only took 3 tablets of pain killer then wala na. Back to normal na. Sobrang magaan yung kamay ng dentist ko and no pain even during the extraction. Talagang yung needle ln ng paglalagay ng anesthesia yung medjo scary.

I paid about 17k. 'Twas 2013 pa yata.

I finally had the guts to have my wisdom tooth removed. It was impacted and under the bone so my surgeon had to remove first the bone covering the tooth then cut the tooth to smaller pieces before he can fully remove it. It took him about 40 mins to finish. No pain during the procedure, you'll feel lang the pressure and konting ngilo. After the procedure, he gave me antibiotics and painkillers. More of kirot lang yung sakit after, tolerable naman. Until now, nag-cold compress pa rin ako and soft food diet. Bawal daw yung hot food muna. Hopefully wala ng maging problem

Impacted wisdom tooth din yung akin, pinabunot ko na last December. Nasa lower left sya at tumatama dun sa molar ko. Sinabihan na ako ng dentist na alisin na yung wisdom tooth hanggat di pa sira yung binabangga nya na molar ko. 1hr ang procedure kasi nahirapan bunutin yung impacted tooth kasi angular. Hinati-hati pa yung ngipin tas may tahi pa
1week namaga mukha ko at mejo hirap talaga kumain kasi wala na din akong mga molars sa kanan. Wala naman akong ibang naging problem after nun. Ngayon braces naman ang paghahandaan ko.

Tinanggal na rin isang wisdom tooth ko kase one day sumakit sha ng parang mamatay na ko sa super sakit. Then i went to my dentist and ok na. I didnt know kelangan pa surgeon for wisdom tooh extraction. And yes medyo matagal sha compare sa regular teeth. After a few days ok na ko. Wala naman complications.
