heelooo,, Impacted yung 2 lower wisdom tooth ko.. nag pa x-ray ako dun sa SM PRIME CARE sm Bicutan 900.00

hayy, tapos yung dentist na pinagtanungan ko 9k daw yung kada isang baggang.. OA talaga

Kaya hinanap ko yung family dentist namin, lumipat kasi sya sa C5 kaya hindi na ko nakakvisit sa clinic nya.
buti na lang yung Doc sa Prime Care kilala sya kaya binigay yung no. ni Dra Rona.

Ayon 5k ang isang ipen.. Okey lang,, kasi OA talaga yung wisdom tooth ko nakadapa sya., at mahaba daw yung hiwa,,

Severe case nga daw yung akin,, pag hindi daw severe, 3500 lang yung singil nya,, pag katulad daw sakin na Severe Case 5k sya..

Free pa yung Consultation nya.. Perfect... malapit lang naman ako kasi Taguig lang area..

dati kasi sa Villamor ako pumunta para magtanong kung how much yung extraction 7k ang binigay sakin 2 years ago/// kaya di ko na lang inintindi ipen ko.. eh nayon loko, masakit na sya

My Wisdom Tooth Extraction Journey

1st Wisdom Tooth Extraction (right side) 6k - December 2009.
 
A week before surgery:
Panoramic X-Ray - P???
Pre-medication - Antibiotic
 
After the surgery:
Tranexamic Acid for 1 day, every 3 hours.
Mefenamic Acid for 3 days, every 6 hours.
Co-Amoxiclav for 8 days, every 12 hours.

2nd Wisdom Tooth Extraction (left side) 5k - September 2013.
 
A week before surgery:
Panoramic X-Ray - P500
 
Pre-medication:
Himox Antibiotic 500mg 3x a day for 7 days (after meals)
 
On the day of surgery:
Anesthesia before and during surgery (many times).  Then, last and final anesthesia after surgery.  It took only less than an hour to extract my wisdom tooth.  Movie showing in dental clinic's waiting area is "Pee Mak"   
 
After the surgery (notes from my dentist):
1. Pressure should be placed on the cotton that has been placed on the extraction site for 1 hour.  If the bleeding continues new cotton should be placed and pressed on for another 45 minutes.
 
2.  Avoid eating or drinking anything hot on the day of your extraction.  Also, do not rinse your mouth, do not use a straw for drinking.  Do not spit and do not drink carbonated beverages.  Do not smoke or drink alcohol either.  Do not brush on the day of the surgery; you can resume your brushing and flossing the day after, gently.
 
3. You may experience some pain, bruising around your lips and/or some swelling, especially after extraction of impacted wisdom teeth.  Ice bag application and medication prescribed for you will help to minimize you discomfort.  (30 mins. cold and 15 mins. hot compress alternately, thrice a day for 4 days)
 
4.  Please take all the medication you have received based on the intructions given to you.
Hemostan 500mg once only to prevent bleeding.
Ponstan SF 500mg every 6 hours for pain.
Ceporex Antibiotic 500mg 3x a day for 7 days.
 
5. During the first 2-3 days after the surgery, a diet of soft cold food and liquids is recommended (soup, yogurt, milk shake and juice).
 
6. Call dentist's office if you experience excessive bleeding, severe pain or swelling or if you have any questions or concerns.
 
Added notes from my dentist:
No heavy lifting for 3 days.
5 stitches will melt by itself after 3-4 weeks.
At least 2 pillows - elevated head.
Normal - swelling, difficult in swallowing, difficult in opening mouth.
If fever occurs - take paracetamol.
 
Follow-up check-up after 3 weeks:
Astringosol Specialist - gargle twice a day for 2 weeks.

i am given antibiotics by the dentist who checked me in Delgado Hospital QC kasi may abscess na daw ang impacted molars ko. and i will need to have a pano xray and get back to them after 7days para naman maquote nila ako how much will my wisdom tooth extraction be. sana huwag naman ganun kamahal kasi yong molar ko sa kaliwa needs to undergo root canal or ipatanggal ko na lang. im still deciding what to do for that.


anyways, prior to going to delgado hospital (they accept medicard kasi) i went to a dentist malapit lang sa amin. natakot ako konti kasi ang dami niya kwento sakin and when she found out na yon nga need ko ng wisdom tooth extraction she wants to do it after an hour. nahaggard tuloy ako! 8500 kasi tapos kung gusto ko daw kalahati muna pero need na daw talaga. ako naman si oo agad hahaha buti si mama pinakalma ako at naghanap kami ng ibang clinic.

Share ko lang experience ko with dr. Uy of lacson clinic. I just had my wisdom tooth extraction last week and i would totally recommend him. Very gentle sya and habang ginagawa yung Procedure, he would ask me now and then kung may nararamdaman akong pain.

Ramdam ko na nahirapan sya ng sa pagtanggal ng wisdom tooth ko pero sabi nya hindi naman daw. Feeling ko nia-assure nya ko para wag matakot.

Tip before operation: need kumain ng madami bago magpabunot.

3k lang yung fee yung bunot tas nagpapanoramic ako sa kanya a wk ago worth 500. Plus bilhin nyo lang lahat ng gamot na irereseta nya.

***Be prepared sa swelling kasi magbloat talaga yung binunutan na side.

Hi sis axlrocksmyworld, super sorry late reply. Okay naman yung procedure super gaan ng kamay ni doc. Medyo masakit lang din yung injection pero parang kagat ng langgam. So far okay na yung gums ko. Huwag ka matakot kasi magaling si Dr.Uy, he makes sure na hindi nasasaktan yung patient nya.

My dentist advised me rin pa-opera na yung impacted wisdom tooth ko  i'm scared (naku kinabahan na ko just by hearing the word "opera")!! My procedure pa ba before the operation or parang normal bunot lang? My friend said nagpa-ganun sya before eh pati BP nya kinuha pa and all that.

Ang sakit pa sa bulsa... Di ata covered ng HMO yan  my dentist said may 2-3 days rest na kailangan so iniisip ko pa when i-sked na walang conflict sa work sked. Haaay hassle!

I also know one thats good too that operated on my impacted wisdom tooth.. That was years ago and I remembered he charged me P3,500 lang. I'm trying to get in touch with him again, will see if he responds

Tumawag ako kanina sa clinic ni Dr. Uy at nakausap ko sya personally. Wala ng urungan ipapabunut ko na talaga wisdom teeth ko. Sobrang sakit na kadi yung right side ko, naaapektuhan na activities ko. Sana wag nya ko icharge ng mahal.

Next week pa ko sis magpapabunot. Kailangan ko pa mag antibiotics. Tatapusin ko lang yung root canal then papabunut ko na wisdom teeth ko. Galing ako kanina sa clinic nila. So magpa sked na lang daw ako kung kelan ako ready. LOL

Hi Sissies! share ko lang experience ko. I had my wisdom teeth extracted 2weeks ago (lower left) super impacted sya nakadapa and binabasag daw yung molar ko kasi nagmomove yung wisdom tooth ko and then last saturday the other wisdom tooth naman lower right (Mar 29). Naginquire ako sa Castillo Dental Clinic sa pateros. 9k per tooth ehh need ko alisin is dalawa kaya sinimulan ko na and sabi magaling daw don wala ako maffeel. Imagine from San Pedro Laguna dinayo ko pa sya. Masarap magpabunot sa kanya saglit lang and laser ginamit daw sakin. 1st hiniwaan ng laser yung gums ko ng onti amoy sunog na laman [textspeak!] mabaho and then binunot tpos nung naalis na yung ngipin may ipinasok sya na gel sa butas tapos nilaser ulit. Akala ko nga tatahiin. Sabi nya yung gel daw na yon nilagay para mabilis magheal yung sugat. Sabi nya soft diet daw muna. Pero dahil nagutom ako kumain pa din ako ng mga gusto ko :p wala naman ako masyadong nafeel after surgery kasi uminom ako ng mefenamic advice nya is 3x/day and antibiotic so kahit magwer off na yung anesthesia ok naman. after surgery pla nag cold compress lang ako for 3hours habang nawawala yung anesthesia. Ok na ok ang experience ko sa kanya worth yung binayad ko and sure na walang natirang ngipin sa loob in-xray din nya ako right after the operation and then binigyan ako ng ice bag.

This is my problem now. 4Days ago sumakit ng bongga yung lower left wisdom tooth ko and eto yung first na sobrang sakit naiyak talaga ako plus di na masyado tumalab ang pain reliever. In the past, sumasakit sya siguro twice  year pero di ganito kasakit at katagal.

First time ko din pumunta sa dentist yesterday na ang purpose is para ipacheck yun pain ng wisdom tooth ko. Thru xray, nakita na both lower left&right wisdom teeth ay angular ang position so it means naka patagilid sya facing yung katabi na molar. Partially impacted sya since meron naman nakalabas na part. Problem is, na damage na nung lower left yung katabi na molar at nagkaroon na ng color black between them. Advise ni dentist ay alisin both wisdom teeth at pati yung isang molar na damage nadin.

I am so scared right now dahil i am 29 alreadt and sabi mas marami na complications na pwede mangyari kapag medyo late na aalisin yun wisdom teeth. Pati nadin sa gastos natatakot ako LOL kasi baka mamaya mahirap alisin yung case ng teeth ko so mas expensive.

Question ko din mga sis, kapag angular yung position ng wisdom tooth, kailangan ba surgeon na ang gagawa or pwede na ang dentist?
