help po. nagpapanoramic x-ray po ako and my dentist found out na need i surgery yung lower left side 3rd molar/wisdom tooth and lower right side 3rd molar/wisdom tooth kasi nakatutok sa mga teeth at hindi pataas. and it costs 12k-15k each, for a total of 30k. hindi ko po kaya yung presyo at wala po ako ganun kalaki budget. pwede ko po ba ipost yung panoramic x-ray dito para makita nyo? sana may marecommend po kayo na dentist na hindi ganun kalaki ang singil. thanks po

@Gigxor, you can back read. There are a lot of posts whose dentists charges anywhere form 4k to 7k per tooth. You'll have to ask the dentists themselves, since tsila ang nakaka-alam at makakapagsabi kung gaano ka-hirap para sa kanilang tanggalin yung ipin.

For myself, I had my right wisdom teeth (upper and lower) removed my Dr. Uy. Yung sa taas hindi impacted, yung sa baba,  partially impacted (meaning nakalabas yung kalahati, yung kalahati nasa ilalim). He charged me a total of 6k for both teeth plus yung x-ray. Then I spent an additional 2k for the meds he prescribed after na binili ko sa Mercury Drug.

I had my teeth removed two weeks ago, totally dissolved na yung stitches as of yesterday, and I'm back to eating normally.

^depends on your dentist. Sa dentist ko P600 per surface. I am just not sure how big is a "surface". Kasi possible sa isang tooth, multiple surfaces agad.

Anyway, I am being charged by my dentist 10K for each tooth. Is that too much?

^thanks sis. Parang ang mahal yata ng 10K kun hindi naman impacted ang wisdom tooth. I paid 5K last year for wisdom tooth extraction.

thank you sa mga nag recommend kay dr. uy! saved me a lot of money (and from panloloko from my previous dentist). background lang, my old dentist is charging my 8k each for all my 4 wisdom teeth..so bale 32k lahat. discounted na raw yun dahil dapat daw, 12k each yung sa baba ko dahil malalim daw. tapos she told me a couple of lies para lang matakot ako at magpatanggal na asap sa kanya.  malalim kasi yung wisdom teeth ko sa baba. sabi nya every month daw, lalalim pa yun. at pag lumalim pa, di na kakayanin sa clinic nya so baka sa ER na ang bagsak ko daw pag di ko pa pinatanggal at 300k daw aabutin ko sa ER ng ospital. medyo nagduda ako nun kasi di ba pataas ang tubo ng ngipin at hindi pababa? so yun buti nahanap ko si dr. uy through our sisses here.  bukod sa na confirm nya na hindi naman lalalim pa ang ngipin dahil pataas nga ang tubo, he charged me 6k each lang sa 2 impacted wisdom teeth ko sa baba. tapos yung dalawa sa taas daw, no rush sa pagpapatanggal and if ever ipapa tanggal ko na raw, normal tooth extraction rate lang daw yun since hindi naman impacted..

napahaba ang kwento ko, pero super happy ako kay dr. uy. magaling din sya, never ako nasaktan the entire procedure. tapos maf-feel mo na di ka nya pe-perahan lang kasi honest sya mag evaluate and reasonable din ang rates ng mga services nila sa clinic

^^ Yuh. Muntikan na akong kumagat. Found a dentist na highly recommended ng mga officemates ng mom ko and apparently, distant relative din niya. P4,500 na lang for each tooth. So basically I was able to save 11K. Tsk Dentists talaga oh...

My Wisdom Tooth Extraction Journey

1st Wisdom Tooth Extraction (right side) 6k - December 2009.
 
A week before surgery:
Panoramic X-Ray - P???
Pre-medication - Antibiotic
 
After the surgery:
Tranexamic Acid for 1 day, every 3 hours.
Mefenamic Acid for 3 days, every 6 hours.
Co-Amoxiclav for 8 days, every 12 hours.

2nd Wisdom Tooth Extraction (left side) 5k - September 2013.
 
A week before surgery:
Panoramic X-Ray - P500
 
Pre-medication:
Himox Antibiotic 500mg 3x a day for 7 days (after meals)
 
On the day of surgery:
Anesthesia before and during surgery (many times).  Then, last and final anesthesia after surgery.  It took only less than an hour to extract my wisdom tooth.  Movie showing in dental clinic's waiting area is "Pee Mak"   
 
After the surgery (notes from my dentist):
1. Pressure should be placed on the cotton that has been placed on the extraction site for 1 hour.  If the bleeding continues new cotton should be placed and pressed on for another 45 minutes.
 
2.  Avoid eating or drinking anything hot on the day of your extraction.  Also, do not rinse your mouth, do not use a straw for drinking.  Do not spit and do not drink carbonated beverages.  Do not smoke or drink alcohol either.  Do not brush on the day of the surgery; you can resume your brushing and flossing the day after, gently.
 
3. You may experience some pain, bruising around your lips and/or some swelling, especially after extraction of impacted wisdom teeth.  Ice bag application and medication prescribed for you will help to minimize you discomfort.  (30 mins. cold and 15 mins. hot compress alternately, thrice a day for 4 days)
 
4.  Please take all the medication you have received based on the intructions given to you.
Hemostan 500mg once only to prevent bleeding.
Ponstan SF 500mg every 6 hours for pain.
Ceporex Antibiotic 500mg 3x a day for 7 days.
 
5. During the first 2-3 days after the surgery, a diet of soft cold food and liquids is recommended (soup, yogurt, milk shake and juice).
 
6. Call dentist's office if you experience excessive bleeding, severe pain or swelling or if you have any questions or concerns.
 
Added notes from my dentist:
No heavy lifting for 3 days.
5 stitches will melt by itself after 3-4 weeks.
At least 2 pillows - elevated head.
Normal - swelling, difficult in swallowing, difficult in opening mouth.
If fever occurs - take paracetamol.
 
Follow-up check-up after 3 weeks:
Astringosol Specialist - gargle twice a day for 2 weeks.

Hi sissies!! meron po ba kayo marerefer na ortho taguig,alabang,san pedro laguna area po. need ko na magpa extract ng wisdom teeth (lower). nagtanong ako sa dentist ng dad ko 7k each daw po impacted din kasi. naghahanap kasi ako mas mura and syempre yung magaling po sana.

After reading this thread  Sino sa clinic ni Dr. Uy sa Panay  ang magaling na partner dentist niya? I want sana magpacheck up sa clinic niya for cleaning and pasta na rin if kailangan

I'm scheduled kay Dr.Uy on Monday. yikes! I'm a bit nervous talaga. Two impacted tooth kasi yung sakin, one lower left then other isa sa lower right. Good Luck talaga sakin, hindi pa naman ako nagleave sa work kinabukasan.
