My last post was November 2013 when I started gardening. I am happy to share na nakailang harvest na ko ng mustasa, okra and tomatoes. Pati mga neighbors ko, nakikinabamg. Glad to share with them iyung mga veggies.

Hi sis.  How did you start planting okra?  Can I use the seeds inside the okra bought from the market?  How should I begin?

Hi everyone.

I live in condo pero may small space ako na parang veranda.
I have basil and mint - ito medyo napapalaki at napaparami ko na.
Pero I also have tomato plants - medyo 2feet na ang taas, hiniwalay ko na ng container.

Gaano katagal bago ko iexpect na mamunga?

^ If I am potting, I use 1/3 cocopeat with 1/3 compost and 1/3 rice hull. If I am planting in the ground, I use 1/3 soil, 1/3 compost, and 1/3 rice hull.

just want to ask where did you get the cocopeat and rice hull? sa mga nagbebenta rin ba ng plants?

I used to plant in L.U before..we cleaned out our backyard full of weeds, cement debris, broken glasses and so on..hinimay himay ko talaga isa isa ang soil haha! hindi ko nga alam paano ko napag-chagaan yun eh hehe! imaginin ninyo nalang ang isang empty lot na itu-turn ninyo into a vegetable garden It was hard work, but it payed off..was able to plant sili, bell pepper, squash (pero flowers lang, walang bunga )  papaya, tomatoes

what we used to do is put cow dung (that kami mismo ang naghanap at kumuha mismo from cows roming around empty lots! haha!)..and rice hall..ayun tumaba naman yung lupa wish I can do this at home now

Question baka meron may alam sa inyo kung san nakakabili nung mga bonsai na fruit bearing trees like kiat kiat, star apple, tamarind?

We just relocated here sa province, medyo malaki yung bakuran and maganda yung soil Yung mga potted herbs ko nilipat ko lahat sa lupa. Ayun yung basil ko sobrang lago kala ko magiging puno na haha. Madami na ring nakatanim dito. Meron ako chico, papaya, rambutan, avocado, buko madami mga 6 trees ata, kamote, kamoteng kahoy. Kanina nagtanim ako ng sili at pechay

Hello mga sis. Recently i have been into gardening but on fruit bearing trees. 3 weeks ago i brought lychees then after i finished eating it. I decided to plant it ,today  i saw my pot theres a sprout and  im so happy i did not expect it to grow.. i dont know if will bear fruits someday coz in my research lychees tree it takes 6-10 years to bear fruits.

^yes kahapon nandun ako dami ko nabili na roses ang cheap lang din. Dami pwede bilin na herbs..

^mejo maliit sis wold rose ata ito.. 9 pcs lang binili ko   tapos yung long na paso bawat isa paso 3 nailagay ko. Plano ko po bumili ng mas  malalaki  na rose yung tig 150 pesos.

glad i found this thread!

new to gardening. mga two months pa lang yata. nainteres ako dahil nagjujuicing ako and i found an article about growing plants in water using grocery scraps (i.e. ugat ng celery, chopped leaves ng carrots, etc). i've always wanted to consume organic veggies and fruits, kaya naisip kong subukan.

nagsimula ako sa celery, then bawang. now i have a little "nursery" of the potted plants i'm growing. most of them bawang (bilang mahal ang bawang ngayon!). pero meron din akong lemongrass, carrot, dahon ng sibuyas, luya, pinya at repolyo. most of them, galing lang sa mga veggie/fruit scraps as a result of my juicing.

kakaadik magtanim pala. para ka ring nag-aalaga ng mga little babies. nag-iba tingin ko sa mga halaman. hindi lang sila nakakapagsalita o nakakakilos tulad natin pero may buhay din sila. minsan kasi, nakakalimutan ko! haha

Actually jan din ako nagsimula mag gardening.. Using veggie scraps like celery, green onion, then tomatoes (seeds we discard) maybe will try the seeds of the cucumbers next time and monggo!
