Hi Everyone!

Lahat kaya ng packages via Fedex or DHL iniinspect ng customs? Since from Davao ako, saan ako pwede magtanong or magreklamo if ever my questions ako regarding taxes and duties? Pwede kaya sa BOC dito?  I think Manila ang nagaassessed ng rates kasi dun ang bagsak ng parcel, diba? Parang it's too much kasi.

Hi mga sis, I do hope someone can help and enlighten me.
Nag-go ang payment ko thru paypal ng isang item costing $350 sa isang UK online store pero may outlet sa China. As I check on the item tinitingnan ko kung mag-charge sya ng shipping fee and assess how much I am going to pay for it. Bale zero shipping fee promo yung online store. I had it shipped to my home (door to door) kasi yun yung naka-save sa Paypal ko. Itong item na ito ay dress actually.

My questions are:

- Possible ba na shipped from China yung item ko since it is nearer here than UK?
- Ang nakalagay na shipping method sa order ko ay Standard - Duty Paid on Delivery, does that mean the item will arrive at my door and then from delivery na lang ako sisingilin ng taxes and duties?
- 12% tax lang ba ang babayaran ko?

Sana may makasagot, mejo praning lang ako, kasi this is a really important dress.

Hello mga sis!  My mom is thinking of starting a side business with her friend.  Dito mom ko sa States where she will buy goods, then she will send them to her friend in the Philippines to sell.  Marami kasi mga contacts yung friend nya especially sa mga office areas.  Her friend was just here last month at napansin nya ang laki daw ng patong when you buy same goods sa mga stores dyan.  At lalo pa pag nag sale dito.  They're thinking of starting with designer handbags.  Is anybody here in the same kind of business and if you have any advice?  Also, ano pa ba ang mabenta?

@chardonnay sis if FedEx diretso sa delivery address mo yan. FedEx is very reliable walang delay unlike Dhl. Always ask for the tracking number of the package so you can monitor its transit. Sa Dhl naman they usually call if they have your contact number, and inform you if the package is on the way na and if may babayaran ka na tax. That's as per my experience.

@ clotheswhore, same business kayo ng sibs ko. Besides designer bags, mabenta ang shoes, makeup, perfumes and food sa mga offices.

Okay din yung website na binilhan niya kasi dun mismo nakikita mo yung movement nung parcel.
Hindi nga lang dun pwede yung less amount ang idedeclare.

One more thing. Yung computation ba ng tax based on the item price alone or kasama yung shipping fee? taas kasi shipping fee 28USD kasi  urgent

I recently ordered some seeds online and still waiting for delivery. Sabi, I'll be paying for the taxes pa raw. Hindi naman siguro kataasan kasi wala pang 1,000 iyong inorder ko.

Marami bang online sellers na kinukuha stocks nila via balikbayan box since wala pala itong tax?  May limit po ba ang # per item or kind to be considered as balikbayan box? Halimbawa if puro perfume laman ng box hindi ba yun ma-question?

On going ang feasibility study ko dito about importing. I am kinda worried ordering bulks kasi baka sobrang taas singil nila sakin sa customs. I will try ordering again around $200 worth of products and ipapadeclare ko product na oorderin ko around $1 each lang. Ipapadala sakin via Fedex. Will update you guys.
