QUESTION: CALCULATING NET WORTH OF MARRIED COUPLES


This might be a stupid question, pero tanong ko na rin.

Pag may asawa na ba, yung 'total net worth' nyo (your net worth + his net worth) needs to be divided by two?

Halimbawa worth 2 million sya, ikaw worth 1 million. Wala kayong pre-nup. So will you say that your net worth is 3 million, or just 1.5 million (2m + 1m / 2).

^The law recognizes married couples as one entity, so from a financial perspective, iisa lang ang net worth for both the husband and wife. Sa example mo, 3 million ang net worth nung one entity na yun.

Pero syempre, iba na usapan kapag divorce/annulment time. And kung ano money set-up nung husband and wife. Usually nagcocombine ng liabilities and assets kapag kinasal, pero may iba separate pa rin, lalo na kung may mga mana-mana na pinaguusapan.

very inspiring ang thread na 'to. i told myself i won't post here since i have nothing to share.
but i want to mark the day i first read this thread so in few months, i will trace back my post and see if my
financial situation has improved.

i have minimal cash in the bank (i used to have several accounts but closed some of them na). and i have
accumulated cc liabilities from schooling and domestic expenses. i am relatively stringent but i just
have so much expenses. i am in the middle of paying off all my cc debts and start saving. i have insurance that pays cash at maturity so that's for retirement.so i can say
my net worth is not much.

Quick question po mga sissies. Let's say for example you bought a lot for about 300k. You have already paid 150k and now the value of the lot is at 600k. How much is your net worth? Is it 300k, 150k or 600k? Thanks!

Of course take the 600k less the remaining debt you have for that land.. That's your net worth.

Gusto ko lang i-share yung improvements ng net worth ko. Last May 2014 sa last post ko dito, it was P582,594.39.

Now it is  P1,028,439.38. BudgetPulse pa rin yung gamit ko

This is my personal net worth, not including my husband's.

Alam ko this seems small compared sa iba, pero goal ko lang last year was to reach 1M and it looks like I did it! Talagang ipon-ipon lang, tipid tipid. Posible lahat!

yey! a very big CONGRATULATIONS sa mga naka achieve ng goal nila! at siyempre sa mga nagstart na ma achieve goal nila kayang kaya yan! ako na achieve ko na yung goal ko but siyempre i set a new goal.. medyo nafeel ko na malapit ko din maachieve ang mga new goals ko.. yung company goal ko na dapat ma achieve yan din isa kung push..

as of 2015 ang net worth ko now is nasa 8 digits na.. (cash + stocks + properties)
sa companies namin ang goal namin is 9 digits so pag na achieve namin yun feeling ko net worth ko na rin siya.. hahaha..

TIPS: tipid, invest, stocks, insurance, business, sales & marketing and basic accounting..
paganahin ang pera at palaguin and magdecide ng tama..

just dream big, believe in it and do it! walang imposible! i swear..
