TOYOTA VIOS

I have 2009 Vios 1.5G A/T and so far I never had any problems with it. Except of course sa mga wear and tear parts like break pads, tires, maintenance etc.. But yung aircon up to now malamig pa din. number 1 pa lang ng aircon nilalamig nako pag gabi, then if day arnd 12-2pm number 2 pwde na
Never had over heating problems, di din tumitirik sa baha hahaha! And very fuel efficient average 10km/L to think na automatic transmission s'ya. Kaya lang I have to sell it na habang mataas pa market value nya  But if given a choice, I don't want to sell it pa sana. haha! Dame na gusto kumuha ayoko pa ibigay lol.. anyway, baka I'll buy another Vios na 1.3G to replace it.. Still deciding whether to sell it or not!

what do you mean by hanging? student license pa lang hawak ko at hindi pa masyadong nagdadrive. bago pa lang din yung unit namin kaya hindi ko din alam kung kailangan ko ding magpa-adjust ng clutch.

Sis, baka she means yung pataas na kalsada. pag manual kasi umaatras, mahirap i-drive pag nakafull-stop. hehe.

Ako sis, di pko nkapag-adjust ng clutch, and wala pa naman problems before. Ang technique ko ay nakahandbreak muna tas shift sa primera, konting timpla then bitaw sa handbreak (:

Sis, para syang 1.5G minus the 1.5L engine (kasi nga 1.3 hehe), plus smoke HD, 15" mags, foglamps,  and AUX.

Oo sis! sapilitan ang pagturo sakin ng manual ng tatay ko. hehe. nung una mahirap talaga, pero ngayon super enjoy ko na (: mejo challenging lang talaga, lalo na pag traffic, nakakangawit at yung mga hanging na daan! pero di ako natatakot masiraan (wag naman sana! hehe) kasi madali itulak

First car ko to sis! maganda to pang polish ng driving skills, lalo na yung parking, driving ng manual car (Manual kasi gamit ko), hanging technique, at sobra tipid sa gas! mga 10-13kms/L ang fuel consumption ko tsaka shempre gusto ko din ng mas magandang car sa future diba! para atleast pag BMW or Ferrari (Sana! hehe) na car ko, iwas sabit na. hehe

nakapag-uphill driving ako pero hindi matraffic kaya hindi naman namatayan ng makina. yang strategy mo sis parang ok yan. hehe

i'm driving a 2012 vios 1.5G MT. maganda yung deal na nakuha namin dahil sakto kami sa promo nila noong summer

1.3G is Automatic Transmission only while 1.3 E has A/T and M/T.

Just have your car checked before making the trip and don't overload your car. I drove a city 1.3 manual  3 adults and 2 pre-teens and went up to Baguio without any problems. Take Marcos Hi-Way, wider and safer.

My fiance drove 1.5 G (TRD/AT) - hirap sya pag akyat! hahaha.
3 adults plus him then 1 kid & Full tank.

From what I've heard, mas hirap talaga sa akyatan ang AT kesa sa MT. Totoo ba yun?

^ sis we got AT, but not Toyota. for me mas madali though si hubby driver. example na lang sa parking sa MOA na pagkahaba haba yung paakyat - flawless talaga. whereas nung may Toyota Vios , MT pa lang kami natatakot pa ako kasi baka umurong kami pababa or something. mararamdaman mo naman din kasi as passenger minsan

Nangyayari lang naman yung pag-urong kapag naka-full stop kayo habang paakyat... parang yung traffic along flyover/bridge. kapag umandar na yung nasa harap mo at aabante ka na din, umaatras talaga ng konti ang MT pero kung AT hindi talaga yung uurong. hindi naman yun yung tinutukoy ko, kundi yung "hatak ng makina"... yung lakas ng makina. AT vs. MT.  Dito sa school na pinapasukan ko, yung parking ay nasa 3rd floor. Imagine straight, steep, at mataas yung inakyat ng kotse ko pero wala namang angal o wala namang atras na nangyari.

^ sis hubby said mas ok daw hatak ng AT than MT based on his experience. 4th floor kami usually nagpapark and wala naman shang nagiging problema sa AT ngayon kumpara sa MT. dati kasi kahit tuloy tuloy naman yung pag-akyat namin (no fullstops, whatsoever) parang nahihirapan dun sa Vios (2007 model).

Sa "akyatan" an a/t only offers convenience of not having to shift manually and just letting the car's ecu handle this task, but fuel economy is not okay since your speed will dictate the ecu when to shift or not, you have to depress the gas pedal harder to achieve your climb, unlike in a manual transmission you are the "boss" of your ride, depress the gas pedal and shift the gear that corresponds to your car's needs to make the climb.

That same is true with engine braking or going downhill, a manual transmission offers better fuel consumption since you can shift to a higher gear to allow the car to go down naturally while shifting gears to match the car's speed, as for an a/t, when you select 2 it means the car is locked in 2nd gear, it will not shift and as we know 2nd gear has a maximum allowed speed so you need to depress once in a while your brake, if you are not careful you might burn out your brake pads or shoes if you keep on depressing the brake pedal.
