hi, I would just like to ask if there were any of u who has applied and bought their tickets using the delta skymiles on trips within asia? what countries and airlines and how did u apply it? I have all these accumulated miles due to travels in US but havent tried using miles to pay for the tickets. Its about to expire next year and I would like to use them but this time travel within asia only. thanks in advance

Anyway, I thought hindi sya nageexpire. I tried to book online travel awards ko this year kaso di ko natuloy. Pwede naman eh, charge mo lang sa credit card mo yung additional fees.

natutuwa lang ako kasi kapag NAIA 1 ang depature ko pwede ako sa Delta Lounge and any Delta Lounges all over the world.

thanks for d reply. actually walang activities kasi for a long time kaya pa expire na. i just dont know how to use it kung asian tour. can u provide me instructions on how to apply it say a Singapore, Macau or HK trip. Thanks in advance

ako din, im interested to know the process.  i want to use my miles to buy airline tickets.  i tried delta airlines website, ang hirap magbook ng award trip. 

who has tried this and how did you book your trip, sis?  pwede din ba thru phone ang ticket reservation?

I was able to book both international and domestic (US) flights using my hubby's Delta miles using their website. Easy lang naman yun lang you have to do it way in advance kasi limited seats lang ang alloted for award flights.

The international award flights I was able to get were mostly to Europe on KLM. While for the domestic, LAX/MKE/SFO, SFO/ORD/SFO on Delta.

i see, so US flights pala sis.   What about kaya from Manila to other countries?  It seems mas mahirap magbook kung from Manila.  I tried looking for flights to Singapore, HongKong, and even Japan, lagi walang match or no available flights.

^sis, yung Europe flights ko are all coming from Manila on KLM. For the other destinations you mentioned baka wala na talagang available seats for award miles.

Pwede ba mag stay sa delta lounge sa Naia 1? kaso wala pa akong card. Online application kasi. Saan ko ba makukuha yung card ko?

AFAIK Delta Skymiles donot expire (please correct me if I'm wrong). I've been accumulating miles since 1995 (when it was still Northwest) and I've never had any miles expire. This is also the reason why we prefer to take Northwest for our US trips even if they have a long stopover in Narita, over PAL whose miles expire right away.

Delta Skymiles and the former Northwest Worldperks miles do not expire.

I've gone to the US several times using miles. Two trips to the east coast will get you enough miles for a free trip to the east coast, based on my experience. My last trip to the US, I used miles from HK to Chicago.

actually they do expire, pag walang activities for a long time. Yung sa hubby ko mageexpire na nong 2009,  so we booked a hotel na lang para at least ma update lang sha.
