i've read somewhere na pag three months old pa daw pwede gamitin ang ear thermometer. pwede na pala for newborns. sa digital thermometer po ano po ba maganda na brand?wala akong makitang safety 1st products sa sm here sa province. ang meron lang chicco,the first years and pigeon na brand ng digital themometer. among those three ano po kaya mas ok? thanks

i dont know about otyher momsies/pedia. . . . but i think po na very safe po to use ang ear thermometer maski na anong age ang baby po.

nung medyo maliit pa mga bata, i use omron na pang kilikili at braun ear thermometer. ngayon toddler na sila,yung sa noo naman.

ang hirap kasi inaagaw na ng baby yung sa kilikili. tapos yung ear thermometer naman, kelangan asa pwesto talaga yung thermometer para accurate. minsan, kapag madumi tenga ng bata, hindi na accurate ang ear.

ang acceptable lang sa american pediatric association is the rectal, axilla, at ear. medyo dpa nila inaaccept ang accuracy nung sa noo.

nangyari na sakin yung pinunta ko sa doctor yung mga bata kasi ang taas ng reading ng ear thermometer yun pala normal lang sa kilikili thermometer. you have to pull back the ears of the child para magstraighten yung ear canal para accurate. kelangan din malinis tenga. pero ginawa ko yun ewan bakit ganun pa rin result. kaya ginagawa ko noo na thermometer tapos double check ko kapag tulog sa kilikili naman.

we have the chicco and one from the hospital (generic). mas ginagamit ko yung bigay ng hospital kasi bendable kaya kahit gumalaw ng konti si baby hindi siya masyado uncomfy.

hi sis, sorry ngayon lang ako nagawi dito. thsi isn't the one second thermometer. yung gamit ko eto http://www.amazon.com/Braun-Thermoscan-Ear-Thermometer-IRT4520/dp/B000050FE0

when i put that in my ear and upon turning on, i have to wait for 2-3 seconds (yata) bago lumabas yung temp. but it's close ha. baka nga ito yung 1sec heheh observe ko next time.

we have the safety first digital thermometer (included in the healthcare and grooming kit) pero what we are using is the omron instant ear thermometer. measures temperature in one second. my son didn't find it irritating at all.

^3 na yung thermometer ko galing sa watson. palpak kasi lagi ang reading. kakabili ko lang nng medica digital thermometer from mercury drug. sana ayos ito.

we have the braun thermoscan pero sabi ni pedia di daw reliable yun eh ang mahal pa naman

, so what i do, after ko makuhanan using braun, i double check pa din my baby's temp using the chicco digital thermometer

is braun the one you use for the ear? kami we use thermo buddy, it's for the ear pero parang mas accurate nga yun chicco na digital. I just use the ear thermometer if nag mamadali. In fairness, the temps of the 2 thermometer are not far apart. When baby had fever, I used both, the readings are more or less within range of each other

yes sis it's an ear thermometer, easy to use nga that's why preferred ko gamitin specially pag sobrang likot ni baby, tho for my peace of mind, i double check na din using both
