Christening gowns/dress for babies

i'm not sure kung meron na bang topic about this. any suggestions kung san meron magandang christening gowns, kahit short lang. medyo kulang na sa time kaya wala na ko time isa-isahin un mall, so sana may masuggest kayo kung san kayo nakabili or nakakita ng maganda for baby girl.

Hi sis, SM North maraming Xtening gowns for baby girls, don din kasi ako bumili para sa anak ko, boy nga lang anak ko. Pero maraming pagpipilian na pang girls, marami pa nga kesa sa pang boys eh. magaganda pati.

Rustan's Makati and Tesoro's Makati have good ones... made of pina, usually yon I send to cousins abroad who request me for christening gowns from here.   Goulborn-Feist has some cutesy colorful ones at Rustan's Makati.
Auggie Cordero makes. 
The Morato business that exports to Spain also makes beautiful christening gowns.
Actually, IMO -- any good  sewer can make one per your specs and materials.  If a relative can make it, better,  kasi mas may sentimental value.

In our families,  we spend bigtime for christening gowns.  Coz pasa pasa ... it becomes an heirloom piece worn by all babies down the line.  1 for all, quesehoda girl  or boy the baby -- hehe   androgynous dressing.

 Wedding gowns are difficult to store, and harder still to make others wear in totality.  But christening gowns hardly encounter any objections.  Then, inspite of the big expense for a one-time wear... it becomes sulit coz it transforms into a  family tradition and heirloom.

I just bought a simple white cotton dress for my baby at Gingersnaps.  Ayoko kasing binibihisan ang bata ng long, frilly clothes made of synthetic materials.  Too hot for our weather.  Pati parang itchy for the baby.

Sis, check Landmark din (Trinoma). Pag girl kasi, napakaraming choices! Ang magiging problema mo ay ang pagpili.

Boy kasi ang anak ko, ang problema naman, wala kang makita o ang hirap maghanap! hehe.. I was able to buy a christening gown sa Landmark. Yung brand na nakita ko, meron din sa SM North pero at that time, wala lang available na ganung design. I think 300 pesos ba o 200 pesos lang yun.  Maganda na rin, tutal sandali lang naman isusuot.

ako din dati yan ang problem ko sa baby ko kasi boy sya at konti lang ang available na christening gown for boys na all-white (church requirement), so ako n alang ang tumahi ng gown ng anak ko! :-)

Do all Churches require a white christening gown? My mom still kept my own christening gown, so it is a 32 yr old gown. Im planning to use it for my coming baby girl. but the problem is its color pink nga [textspeak!].

thanks sis, oo talagang tinago ko kasama ng lahat ng mga wedding paraphernalia namin. Sobrang simple lang yung ginawa ko pero cute naman at one of a kind... :-)

regarding the color of the gown, hindi ako sure, pero sa Edsa Shrine requirement talaga yung all-white, depende siguro sa church.

there are a lot of christening gowns also in greenhills. IMO, mas maganda pa sila kesa dun sa mga nasa malls. Ok din when it comes sa quality ng tela.

^ I agree, meron sa may Shoppesville, 1st floor ata yun or basement. Andaming magandang Christening gowns dun. Pero nawalan ako ng time to visit Greenhills again, also, daming tao, dala dala ko kasi lagi si Baby nun.

Share ko lang... I got my baby's Christening gown at Rustan's Makati. It's so pretty.. the price I think was Php 1,500+. I actually have a white dress dapat for her baptismal, pero wala kasing Cap. I tried finding a nice cap for her sa Landmark, SM, wala talaga e. So I ended up buying a whole set nalang.

sa sm and rustan's madame. binyag na din ng baby girl ko this november and we'll buy a simple christening dress lang na less than 1k siguro kase once nya lang gagamitin yon.

Dilemma ko rin palagi ito. I do not know where else to buy christening clothes for my kids.

I bought all of my kids' baptismal suits in SM.

My youngest had his baptismal last October 23, I bought a barong type in SM. So-en Babies.

i bought mine at edsa shang big and small for less than 1k kaso walng hat so i went to sm bought the whole set then pinang gift ko n [textspeak!] yung dress.

we bought my baby's dress at rustans makati. madami na kaming nakita pero di namin type ni hubby so nun nakita namin to binili na namin agad. since sabay un christening ni baby sa church wedding namin, ok lang na medyo pricey. hubby bought her shoes at mothercare in qatar. nauna pa nga un shoes bago un dress, hehe..

hi, my child's dedication will be on december 5. naghahanap din ako ng isusuot ni baby. I prefered mas maganda pag dress lang instead of gowns para masuot niya pa rin. In SM department store marami din pati sa Enfant.

i tried to look na last week. sobrang sarap bilhan kasi baby girl. i prefered color white pa rin with pink and purple lining. Daming pagpipilian na pang girls sa SM.

hi my son will be baptised on January 2011. he will be 3mos by then. i chose a made to order christening gown of pina jusi for my firstborn. im planning to pass it on as an heirloom piece of our family..

medyo OT but how can i store this fabric without damaging it? i would appreciate an answer to this. thanks in advance!
