^ yes dsl nila meron na rin. They have consumable plans yung certain amount of data traffic allotted per month. And the other is yung daily cap, as i remember yung 1mb speed is 3gb cap, 2mb is 5gb, 3mb and 5mb is 7gb.

One thing you have to be careful though, they claim cap are reset at midnight daily, but there are times this doesn't happen.

^ there are a lot of factor to consider to determine the maximum wifi signal

- structure of the house (grnd flr / 2nd flr) - is it wood? concrete? acoustic? or others
- type of wifi router / ap used - some have greater distance than other
- interference / traffic on the wifi channel you are using
- distance

there are application you can use on your mobile to test the area of wifi signal to get better location

some wifi router/ap gives you option for connecting external antenna to boost its distance

another option would be to put additional access point or repeater.

Between ground floor and second floor is pure slab-concrete.
The modem-router provided by sky.

Is there such thing as compatible repeater for the modem-router i am using?

^ this would depend on the type of router you have, some model support wireless repeater some don't. In case it doesn't your next solution would be to get an AP (access point) and put it downstairs and connect the router and AP via physical wiring.

BTW, if you can find a cheaper AP than router that would be good, otherwise an alternative is to use a router as an AP.

NO NO to PLDT.
Napakadami nilang complaints. The worst service daw. And I could agree with that.

We have tried Globe (Malabon area) already and Bayantel (Novaliches), and both are good.

^ sa globe mayroon 1 year lock-in mayroon din 2-years locked in, depends on the plan and features you availed of.

BayanDSL user here... they have great customer service. Organized sila. Bihira lang ako makakareklamo sa kanila na dropped ang connection for a long time.

Isa lang flaw napansin ko.. I get disconnected only when the phone from the bundle I have is being used at same time when I'm online.. and I get reconnected automatically when the call is finished. But its no biggie for me At least hindi umaabot ng minutes to hours and disconnection.

^Sis, I think what you need is a filter na dapat ibinigay din ng nag-install sa inyo since bundle naman yan bayandsl. Para di ka madisconnect kahit may gumagamit ng phone.

Tinapos ko lang yung lock-in contract ko with Globe then I transferred to another service provider. Walang kwenta both their internet and customer service. 

I am now with Skycable. I got their 10mbps package with HD TV. I hope maayos sila. So far so good.

Ako rin, I'm satisfied with PLDT DSL..lalo na nung nag upgrade ako to the high speed plan 999...di sya nadidisconnect saka ang bilis ng Youtube

PLDT for me, stable talaga. I had smart broadband postpaid as back-up pero pina-cut ko kasi mabilis lang nung lock-in period. After nun wala na, mas mabilis pa yung prepaid. Pahirapan pa sa smart pag nagpa cut ka ng line, ang tagaaaaal refund. Inabot ng more than 1 month bago ko nakuha and that includes yung paulit ulit na punta ko sa smart center kasi paiba iba ng sinasabi yung employees dun at yung sa call center nila.

Been a loyal PLDT DSL subscriber here but it's really upsetting that we've been having an  intermittent connection for 3 weeks already, and despite the numerous complaints via phone calls they received from me, they're not sending over a technician to personally fix the problem.

Ano kaya ang best dsl connection dito sa Iloilo?

Currently nasa plan 1299 ako ng Globe which is 2mbps plus landline and since my loyalty promo sila, nagdagdag sila ng 0.5-1mbps. In fairness, mabilis naman ang globe kung ok sila. But lately, nagiging unstable yung connection. Palagi kasi silang may mga maintenance chuchu ekek kaya pati yung signal nila affected. Parang halos every week, may something wrong na sa kanilang connection. Pero ayokong umalis sa globe kasi pinaka affordable siya and matagal na yung landline number namin. What do you think about it guys?

Parehas pala tayo sis. Bundle globe landline dsl din kami and talagang every week may problem ang internet connection ko. Minsan nareresolve via phone lang pero kadalasan kailangan pa ng onsite visit ng technician para itrouble shoot. Usually after 2 to 3 days before dumating ang technician so sobrang hassle talaga. Kaya lang ayoko din namang magpalit din ng landline number. Saka at least mabilis silang tawagan at magpapunta ng technician di tulad ng PLDT na ang hirap ata maka contact. akala ko sa Manila lang nagkakaproblem ang Globe pati pala sa mga provinces. Tapos laging nagrereset ang internet connection ko or minsan makakaconnect ako tapos pag magbabrowse na redirecting to tattoo globe na. Sa dalas mangyari nun kabisado ko ng itrouble shoot basta sa ganung case. Kaya lang ang hassle din pag everyday may ganung situation ha

^ Hay nako sis. Hindi ko alam kung ano talaga ang prob. Since monday pa nag di-disconnect yung net namin. Araw2x na talaga nagkakaproblema. Dalawang beses na din akong nag request ng job order. Sana sa pangalawang visit nila, maayos na nila yung prob ko. Actually, ok naman ang customer service nila. Pero may times lang na hindi talaga nila ma address yung problem or di nila malaman kung ano ba talaga ang mali. Parang nag ta-trial and error lang. Last na siguro to. Pag hindi pa na fix, lilipat na ako sa ibang company. Ma try nga ang Smartbro. Hihi.

PLDT pa rin yung plan 999. Minsan may time na down pero sobrang dalang naman. Kung streaming lang ang paguusapan wala din ako complain. Kahit may baha or bagyo never na-disconnect.
