Hi, am applying for a standard visitor visa for our trip and would just like to ask what documents do you usually submit as evidence that family members are left behind in your home country while you travel? Yun na lang yung kulang ko for the supporting documents but I have no idea what to submit for that

Hi, I wanted to reply to the old thread but it says, the old thread is 60 days old ... so hope mama squeak, this is correct.

I just want to clarify, if we are applying as a family, I have to register each one of us, I guess this goes without saying. If I'm applying for my parents, I should choose "Applying for someone else" is this correct?

Second, how do I book a common appointment for all of us? Do I submit one set of documents for each one of us? Or one set of itinerary, hotel bookings, etc. for all of us since pare-pareho naman...

Hi, I applied for UK visas for our family trip earlier this year and we each provided them with the required documents. Even though they were the same docs, we just made multiple copies for each person. If I remember correctly, I also submitted the online application form one by one and paid for each one separately. I just made our visa appointments at vfs global at the same time and it was only on the appointment day at vfs that they asked us if we were applying as a family. We said yes and they consolidated our documents in one packet. Hope this helps.

Thanks @galatea_spheres, so one common time for the whole family? Sorry to clarify ha, when we applied for our Schengen visa sa Czech Embassy, their interview schedule was 5 or 10 mins apart so I scheduled each one of us sunod-sunod (i.e. 8:05, 8:10, 8:15, 8:20). Ganoon rin ba sa Vfs? Or just one time slot for everyone?

 a number of slots available for the same time. There were 5 of us in our family who applied, the first 3 I was able to schedule at the same time slot. When I was scheduling the last 2 people, our preferred time did not show up in the choices anymore so I booked the next time slot closest to that (intervals of 30 min ata if i recall correctly). But again when we made our personal appearance at vfs, they let all 5 of us in at the same time when we told them we were family

Hello. My family (mama, papa, me and my son) plants to visit my sister in UK this coming March. I work at home under a certain company but I also have outside clients. I pay my taxes voluntarily and the business is under my name but I only declare the salary I get from my part-time.  I have a few questions:

Will I have a problem if I present that ITR and my COE from the company I work with?

Also, my father is a seaman and just got off a week ago. He has savings but by the time that we will apply for our Visa, which is this January, he will not have a work contract to present. He will shoulder all our airfare and most expenses.

Lastly, my son is using his father's last name. His NSO birth certificate comes with an affidavit that shows acknowledgement by the father. We are not married and don't live together anymore. Will we need a permit from the father so my son can travel? When we went to HK and Korea no one has asked me for a permit but I just wanted to make sure this is still the case?

^^ I applied last week, Jan. 24 and I'm still waiting for the result. Sana malaman ko na this week, nagmamahal na airfare at para ma-finalize ko na din itinerary ko. Hoping for a positive result. I'll update here sis, whatever the outcome.

*UPDATE:
Got my passport back today, Feb 6. I received sms/email last Friday. Total of 9 working days. Time to finalize my itinerary! 😊

Haller! I just want to check: We don't need to attach anything related to our itinerary sa Schengen countries right? So we don't have to attach our itinerary and accommodations sa France and Italy. Just the UK accommodation right? Just checking. *Praning*

Just want to share my experience sa pag apply ng UK Visa, we are family of 4 one minor.

I filled up the application form online sa www.gov.uk website. Successful yung pag book ko ng appointment for me and my papa same time kami 10:15am pag dating sa mama ko nag loloko na yung booking system hindi tinatanggap kahet anong date. I tried yung sa son ko and I was able to book him ng 9:45 am. Kinabukasan pa naging okay yung booking system and nabook ko din ng 10:15 am yung mama ko.

We were at the VFS site an hour early. I asked the guard if we can all come in ng 9:45 since, he said yes naman. There were a few people lang. Pag dating sa reception, the staff said wala daw sa booking appointment yung son ko she then asked for my payment confirmation etc and she accepted.

Inside may nag assist na staff checking our documents, she asked if may land title na original they dont suggest that to be included lang. Btw, I have one pile of all original documents, one pile all copy. Sabi niya they will get na lang daw yung puro copy. I asked kung okay lang ba yun sa Embassy sabi nung staff yes daw. Medyo worried tuloy ako baka kasi kelangan yung ibang original docs. It took a while since medyo madami yung papers namin we were there a total of an hour.

We are a family of 6 who applied for UK visa last Feb 15.  We received an email last Friday that there was a decision made on the visa application. We got our UK visas today. [nakakapraning kapag Friday nag-decide ah, 3 nights of waiting and waiting and waiting]. A total of 8 working days. Valid until August 2017.

Our profile:
Father - working, traveled to Jordan, Israel, Dubai, HK, Singapore, been to UK back in the 80s/early90s.
Mother - not working,  traveled to Jordan, Israel, Dubai, HK Singapore
Me - working, traveled to Schengen countries, US, Peru, Bolivia, and various countries in Asia
Sister 1 - working, US, Japan, SEA countries
Sister 2 - working, HK, Singapore, Malaysia Taiwan,
Sister 3 - working, HK, Singapore

We presented letters of support for the dependents and my parents attached evidence of properties owned.

VFS UK is located in Chino Roces. 9:30 yung appointment namin but we were there at 7:30 (left QC at 5:30am). We still had parking space sa 2nd floor.

We printed and submitted multiple copies of accommodation, plane tickets and itinerary and kinuha naman lahat. After VFS reviewed and lodged the docs, biometrics na next. We waited for around 15 minutes for our turn kasi isa lang yung room na available for biometrics. Not a lot of people at 10AM. Was able to peek at the priority (?) lounge. I think unnecessary sya if onti lang yung tao.

Now that we have our UK visas, babalik na kami sa VFS France to apply for Schengen visa. The hardest part of this visa process is waiting.

Sissies question, we are planning to go to europe last week of may. Countries we plan to visit are london, france and italy. We're thinking to make london our point of entry and exit from/to manila. Would there be a problem kaya when i apply For a visa? Specifically uk visa?

^No problem naman yan sis.

Baligtad naman itinerary namin. We will enter Italy, then to France then exit sa UK.
We are staying in France the longest so dun ang Schengen visa application namin. But pagdating namin dun, they said they have a rule that if your itinerary will enter/exit UK, you must apply for a UK visa first. So inuna namin UK visa application.

Mahirap ba ma-approve ng UK visa? Ano mas mahirap makakuha? UK or US visa?

For me, easier ang US visa. Konting interview and check on our passport stamps lang ginawa, ni hindi nga hiningi yung bundok kong documents hahaha and ora mismo you will know if approved or denied. Sa UK kasi, thru VFS lang, collecting agent lang and they will base your application on the documents you submitted. You have to wait days and weeks for the result. I hate waiting, d ako mapakali hahaha
