Had my Visa appointment today.  Hassle free naman, matagal lang is waiting for your number to be called.  They asked me if I wanted Priority Visa service, pero for P4,200...hell no!  Sa June pa naman ang trip ko.

And yes, there's parking in the building (3rd and 4th floors).  Marami pang parking especially when your appointment is 8/9 am.  Pero nung paalis kami (around 11am), puno na ang parking.

Now the wait begins.   And then Schengen naman on April 24.

^ i availed if that service and the following day they called me na that my passport was for dispatch and i got it the day after. i had to do that kasi there was a chance that i won't get my passport in time as we were going abroad after christmas. goodluck! for sure naman you'll get it.

mga sis, questions in applying for UK visa:

1) ok lang ba if hotel booking is in my sister's name? she handled everything. i plan to show the print out of her email re: bookings

2) pano yung booked flight lang? kasi if you go to the airline sites, you need to pay for it na? how do you do it? yung booked lang pero di pa paid? kasi pag di naapprove visa sayang naman

Pwede ba mag apply for family visit for an aunt -- well, great-aunt really. Or will that fall under general visit?

1) ok lang that the hotel booking is under your sister's name.

2) contact a travel agency to help you with this. Or call the airline hotline mismo, and book over the phone. They can help you get a confirmed (but not yet paid) booking. Meron lang deadline to get/pay for the ticket. Usually one or two weeks.

Somebody else could make the booking for you, pero usually bookings require the name of the occupant of the room right?

I asked an airline agent to make the booking for me. Don't make a booking online.

^ some do and some don't. i have submitted bookings that my husband booked for us and it's under his name (i haven't changed my name yet) and it wasn't an issue naman

Received my visa today!  For those curious about how long it takes during this peak season:

March 25 - Visa appointment
April 2 - Received text and email update that my application has been dispatched to the British Embassy for processing
April 2 - Another text and email stating that my application is now being processed by the British Embassy
April 12 - Received email that my visa has been dispatched for transmittal to me
April 15 - Received emails that my visa is now with the courier for delivery

So all in all, it took 13 working days from the time I lodged my application before I received my passports back (there were three holidays in between).  However, the date of my visa is actually April 11.

hi! Can somebody here knows how to apply UK visa? if my mother is 2x na nag travel sa UK alone with invitation from her cousin, and Now, I'm planning to go with her this June but this time hinde na yung cousin nya ang mag invite sa kanya kundi yung friend nya with indefinite settlement visa, is it possible na ma invite nya kami? Just for accommodation lang naman and we have sufficient mo money to show ( bank account). And one more question, dapat ba magkasama ang papers namin sa process or separate? Please enlighten me with this. I forgot to mention, na dun sa last 2 visit ng mother ko is kami ang nakalagay na mag provide ng airfare nya, she submitted our Bank Statement, Business documents etc...

Got my Visa last April. I gave statements and certificates from two banks.

I'm not sure if I understood your question correctly, but when you schedule an appointment, you'll need to schedule separately in the sense that you'll need to submit both your names and information. When you finish, a document will be generated with guidelines and both your names under separate appointment numbers.

Off-topic, does anyone know if the UK VFS is open tomorrow or not?

My husband applied for a visit visa last nov. but unfortunately nadenied sya His mom was already a citiZen...complete naman yung mga requirements....ang naging reason kaya sya nadeny is because kakaresign lang nya sa work...ang purpose naman nya sana sa pagpunta don ay aattend ng seminar for his profession and visit na rin sa mother nya....may invitation na rin sya from that council...balak ulit nya magapply this year, any tips mga sis para madaling maapprove? Thank you!

^ since the reason for denial is his unemployment, make sure na lang that your husband has all the proper documentation if he has a new job
