^ VSF is just a collection agency, it won't have any hand in deciding on your visa application. they will just check your documents if they are complete, pay for the visa, do biometrics

I'm in the same situation as you.  Unahin ko rin UK visa and I might pay additional for expedited processing so I get the Visa faster, then apply kaagad for Schengen.

Nagpaschedule na ako sis today ng appointment sa French embassy for the Schengen visa. February 04 na ang nabigay nilang schedule sa akin na earliest. I read somewhere na you can already schedule 90 days before the appointment date. Not sure where ko nabasa, but you can google it.

^you definitely can ask an appointment earlier but the interview schedule should not be more than 90 days or 3 months prior to your departure date. So if you are leaving in May for example you can call today and ask for an appointment in February pa.

Mga sis! Just got back from submitting my application at the VSF office. Very smooth naman ang process. There were only a few people there, not more than 12 ata kami there. It took me around 20 to 30 minutes for the whole thing. I do hope na maapprove ang application despite some blunders. I wasn't able to provide six months worth of statements for one of my accounts, 3 months lang meron ako naprovide. But I did attach this printout I have of the transactions from April to June of last year. It's just that the font size is bordering on minuscle. But still readable naman. As for the other accounts, I was able to provide more than six months of statements naman plus the certificates for the time deposits. I did attach the letter addressed to me on my approved leaves (this is from my bosses) as well as the screenshot of our employee intranet system for filing leaves. I did attach cc statements din (just two months worth nga lang).

^ sis don't worry, i didn't even give 6 months worth of statements, basta bank certificate lang that says i have this and that much account goodluck!

I'm planning to submit bank statement, ITR, payslips and certificate from my employer as to my yearly salary. Hope that will be enough.

Question pala: will the UK embassy retain the originals of the documents you submitted? Kasi some of the documents (like my payslips, past passports) I will need also for the schengen visa application. Pwede ba photocopies lang ibgay ko?

^sis melvel, I only submitted photocopies. The girl na nag asikaso sa akin sa VFS told me na I have the option to give copies naman daw if I didn't want to submit the originals, with the exception of the passport of course. Bloopers pa nga my payslips copies eh. I submitted two copies (hindi ko na napansin na napasama pala the photocopies of my payslips for my Schengen visa, ayun, napasama sa UK visa application ko kaya pala ang kapal kapal). They will give you a checklist sa counter of the things that you submitted.

Hello po, I am helping my friend obtain a visa for her and her mother who would like to obtain a visit visa sa UK para bisitahin sana yung anak/sister na nadiagnose for bone cancer.  May letter na from the hospital about the condition nung relative na may sakin.  Ask ko lang sana ng help kung paano ang ayos ng mga supporting documents nila.  Pwede bang lagyan ng notes or annotations kung ano yung mga documents na yun? Need ba na may airline ticket na silang nakabook? kasi ayaw pa sana magbook dahil di pa naman sure na maaapprove sila. Salamat po.

Hi sisses! I got this in my email today:

"Your visa will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 days. Applicants in Australia and New Zealand should allow 3 days before tracking their documents via the local post. UKBA-Manila Visa Hub"

I didn't avail of the courier service and so I got this email message as well:
"A decision on your Visa application reference number: XXXXXX has been made by the British Embassy.
Your application has been received at the UK Visa Application Centre and is ready for collection."

This means my visa was approved right? I haven't received any text yet though. Just email messages.

just got back from my trip. i love london but it was too busy! i super duper love prague, i think i love it more than paris!

vixey1969, check the website, it is very direct and it will tell you everything that you need. basically, they will be applying for a family visit visa since it's the anak/kapatid that they will visit. it's similar to a tourist visa but they would have to produce additional documents like invitation letter, etc.

I got my visa na! I was so nervous talaga. I was given a multiple entry visa valid for 180 days. So happy! Super thank you to all the ladies here who have so patiently answered my questions and those who have shared their experiences. I would've been lost if not for you guys, super thanks.

BTW, can I schedule an appointment before completing the form and paying the fee?  Also, if there are six of us in a group, can one person schedule the appointment for all 6 of us, para sabay-sabay appointment namin?

Yes sis. I scheduled the appointment before completing the form. From now on kasi visa payments are to be made online na using either a mastercard or visa credit card. Right after you have submitted your online application form, you will be directed to pay for your fee online. As for the appointment, I can't recall exactly if may option dun ng number of people sa drop down menu nila. It's in the VFS website. You can check it out without having to continue with the booking process. You will need your passport details nga rin pala plus a valid email add, landline, and mobile number. Mapapasok lang naman the appointment booking once na you've supplied all relevant info and hit the submit button. Kaya you can try it and end the process halfway.

riksy07, when you booked your Visa appointment online, what visa category did you choose?  Is it "Other Visa Category"?  Kasi the other choices seem not appropriate (Student, Seaferer, Premium, VIP).
