Hi Newbie here,

I was diagnosed with PCOS since I was 19, before hindi ko problem kxe regular naman ako, but when I got married last 2013, since i know na PCOS ako i know im going to have trouble in conceiving at yun nga, I went to some doctors pero hindi ako nagtutuloy-tuloy then after my Last OB ask me to take Diana pills, for 3 months after that I havent got my period more or less 9 months ganun like this time.and im getting desperate having a baby.

Id like to ask how much it cost to get IUI or IVF? and what are the chances?

^^Sis yannuh, natuloy ka Kay dra Aguilar? Yung dr friend namin kasi sa kanya Kami nirecommend. Medyo scared nga ako kasi baka mahaba pila😅 Gusto rin sana namin sa friendly care kasi dun may u/s machine pero dun yata marami patients..

Sabi nga ni hubby, sa ibang hosp na lang daw namin puntahan si Dra Aguilar. takot din kasi sa pila yun. pero sabi ko dyan na lang since yan pinakamalapit sa amin saka mura hehe. baka sis by mid November try ko na puntahan. ^hi sis, im currently under dra. aguilar. she's kind and very optimistic. she will not give you option kung saan ka makakatipid unlike others. nun inatake ako ng sakit ng endometriosis ko, yun ob ko pinaoopera na ako, pero nun nagsecond opinion ako sa kanya hindi niya suggest yun, sabi niya kahit yun best doctor nagkakamali pag nagopera, baka lalo lang ako mahirapan magkababy pag ginalaw pa. hindi lang siya machika doctor, at lagi nagmamadali kasi super busy niya. kung wala ka tiyaga sa paghihintay at pumila, baka mahirapan ka. hehe. her schedule below;
cardinal santos medical arts bldg  10-12 mwf.  (700 consultation, yun follicle monitoring depends sa hospital fee)
st lukes bgc. medical arts bldg room 622 mwf 5-7pm
friendly care pasig tths 12-2pm (450 consultation, 500 follicle monitoring)
hindi ko alam sa st lukes yun fee niya. meron din siya sa pgh tths din ata 4-6pm. hope it helps.

Ok naman kay Dra.Angela Aguilar?Plano ko magswitch ng ob and nasstress na talaga ko sa endometriosis ko,TTC for 4years na kami ni hubby pero wala pa din, mahirap daw magbuntis lalo na pag may endometriosis,May myoma pa ko.. nakakalungkot

I went to Dra Aguilar last week. Same with sis Chili113, she didn't do ultrasound, she just checked the test results from my previous ob. And when I told her na I'm taking visanne, nagtataka siya kasi we are trying to conceive daw bakit ako nagtake. Mas aggressive ang approach nya saken kasi sinuggest nya agad na IUI kami but first she will check daw muna ang tubes ko. Mas ok siya saken kesa sa prev ob ko and much cheaper. Ayun nga lang ang tagal ng hintayan sa clinic.

Anyways, just had my polyps removed via d&c last dec 22. Then nagpacheck up ulit ako. Nadisappoint lang ako kasi ang tagal ng waiting time sa OB then pag session ninyo na, Parang hindi mo kuha yung 100% attention niya kasi may natawag, may nagtetext, which is understandable naman dahil doctor siya and baka emergency.

Sa wakas, natapos nadin ako sa pag baback read. hehe!

Ako naman, I was diagnosed with PCOS din nung college pako. Mga 17 lang ata ako non, now im turning 30 sa March. Si Dr. Angela Aguilar din naging OB ko dati. Actually ang nilapit namin noon is kung bakit halata masyado ang facial hair ko, halata ang bigote. lols! Then madaming tests ang pinagawa including Trans Rectal U/S. Dun nalaman na PCOS nga (tsaka bukod sa facial hair eh irreg din ako) Then niresetahan lang din ako ng pampa induce muna ng mens, then Dianne. Siguro ginawa ko lang yun for a couple of months then tinigil ko din. Napansin ko kuminis ako lols! Pero parang nag gagain din ako ng weight. Nung tinigil ko yung pills, hindi nadin ako nagka mens. Then parang twice or 3 times a year nalang ako nagkakaron tapos sobrang konti lang ni di mapuno ang isang napkin.

Fast forward to 2015-2017. XD I got married na nung 2015. Since di pa namin plan ni hubby mag baby kaya di pako nag pacheck up ulit. Then ngayon, eto na, napagusapan na namin ni hubby... kaya nag sesearch nako ng OB ulit. Ang current circumstances ko naman ngayon, PCOS padin both ovaries (nagpa check ako last year), on the heavy side and diabetic. Ask ko lang sana, baka meron ding gantong case tulad sakin? Considered ata na kung mabuntis ako eh high risk pregnancy ako? If thats the case, sinong reco OBREI nyo na okay, affordable at tumatanggap ng Medicard/EastWest Healthcare?

Tsaka tanong ko din pala, usually ba pag sinabi mong work up sa doc eh hindi nila ipapasakop sa HMO? Eh kung PCOS? Pwede ma carry yun sa HMO? Yung mga tests din na ipapagawa, carry naman ni HMO yun diba? Kung sakali namang carry din ni HMO yung doc na yun?

Lastly, iniisip ko din kung babalik ako ky Dr. Angela Aguilar. Since madami pading reco sa kanya dito at affordable din sya. (yun nga lang, nag aaccept din ba sya ng Medicard/EastWest?)

^Don't worry sis, I have mild PCOS also but it was just diagnosed recently. I have a child already, who was conceived naturally when I was in my late 20s.

Update: Came from Kato Clinic today and I have decided to have my IUI done there. Dra. Manalo is very good, but I like the convenience of going to Kato. Everything Dra. Manalo said was agreed on by Dr. Mendiola in Kato- including the treatment plan.

As for Dr. Aguilar, I feel she is not very agressive. Now that I've been to 3 doctors in a month's span I can really compare their approaches. I felt that my consultation with Dr. Manalo and Dr. Mendiola was more personal and more informative and agressive. OK din si Aguilar but perhaps if you are a younger patient with a lot of time to try to conceive. Mukhang ma-tiyaga si Sr. Aguilar mag try ng natural way of conceiving.

Meron akong cousin, diabetic din sya, pero may 2 babies na sya ang natural din ang pag conceive nya. Kako buti di sya nahihirapan. Sabi nya dapat monitored daw ang sugar while preggy talaga. Tsaka yun pala, regular pala sya. Yun ang unang prob ko, di ako regular. huhu!

Sige sis yannuh, pa ask naman regarding HMO, kung pati sa lab tests eh sakop =) plan ko sana kapag check ups sa Friendly Care Shaw Pasig ko sya pupuntahan. Then kapag may tests or if ever pag manganganak na, baka sa Cardinal nalang.

^^ Whaaaaa OO nga noh? Dati sa wedding forum tayo nag kwekwento now dito na!! Back then I wasn't planning on having another kid because hubby and I have kids prom our previous relationships. But we just decided very recently. Sayang kasi delay ako ng delay ng wedding. Nun pala mas madali to conceive back then  not like now I just turned 40.

If you have the patience and your are young and have a lot of time then OK si Dra. Aguilar. Kasi she will guide you when you try natural. The other doctors are more aggressive kasi, which I need because I am super lola by maternal/child=bearing standards.

Sis chili1113, i too is planning to see doctor manalo in asian. But i doubt kung mahabol ko schedule nya considering sa dami din ng patients nya. We are planning to go for iui sana. First visit pa namin sa kanya if ever. And also regarding doctor mendiola in kato, mataas ba success rate nya sa iui sis?☺️
