infertility, endo-repro ob gyne recommendations

Decided to work up with Dra. Eileen Manalo. Visited her clinic at St. Lukes Global.

Initial findings are PCOS and intrauterine myoma. I was given metformin to treat the pcos, and fertility meds (letrozole) for my first cycle. She wanted me to undergo some tests like FBS, FSH, LH, Proclatin, Testosterone and TSH. Tinanong ko sa pathology lab, cost around 21k with discount. Ang mahal grabe! Will try to check other hospitals if same costs.

Anyway, looking forward ako sa first cycle na to with an OB-REI. Sana maka-BFP kami agad pra no need na sa ibang procedures which are really financially draining.

^^ay sis, I am not sure kung sino sino ang mas mura. i have 4 friends kasi na who went to Dra. Manalo, all of them were successfull naman, nagka-anak naman sila lahat kaya alam kong financially draining talaga ito.

Sis can you refer  endo-ob qc area or manila along taft. Ok naman sana yung ob ko sa lourdes hosp kaya lang napapagod at na stress kame sa pagpunta from bulacan pa kasi kame.

^hello sis. if i may share, lumipat ako kay dra. elizabeth israel, clinic is in fe del mundo sa may banawe qc. monday-saturday 10-am - 2pm except thursday. recommended sya ng mga sis dito lalo na sa ttc thread. i hope sya na rin makatulong sa amin to conceive. if pupunta ka sis, advice ko lang na dalhin mo recent tvs, lab tests, etc nyo ng hubby mo para hindi na ipaulit.

^ah yung orthopedic.. diretso ka pa sis hanggang makatawid ka ng quezon ave. sa corner ng banawe at q. ave, may mcdo katapat nun mang inasal. diretso lang sis, pangatlong kanto yung medical arts bldg.

^congrats sis! may i know kung naka ilang visit ka kay dra julio? swerte mo naman, wala pa kayo 1yr ttc. ako naman, we're trying for 3 yrs na. sakto nung pumunta ako kay dra israel, i just had hssg. pati si hubby kakatapos lang ng SA kaya wala na pinaulit sa amin si doc. pap smear lang ginawa nya sa akin and binigyan lang nya ako ng serophene. i followed what she said kasi sa dati ko OB lagi 1 tab lang ako. had FM last friday and good news naman nakuha namin, timing nalang daw talaga. for us naman ayos lang approach nya, kasi nag eexplain mabuti at hindi nagmamadali. i agree, medyo expensive nga sa kanya, iniisip nalang namin ni hubby ok lang gumastos basta maging successful. pang apat na OB ko na rin kasi ito eh saka naghahabol na rin kami, tumatanda na kasi.

momsypips - hi sis nice instinct ha, congrats. i've heard good reviews naman kay dra julio. question lang madami ba siya patients and mahaba ba lagi pila? hehe. i came from dra aguilar and ok naman approach niya, tiyagaan lang sa paghihintay pero mura naman. medyo pahinga lang muna kami at ipon kasi umabot na kami sa final stage which is IVF. naging problem ko lang sa kanya eh late na niya nafound out na hubby has a problem with the count.

momsypips - Hi sis! Congratulations on your pregnancy! Pareho kami ng OB ni crzysxycl. Dr. Israel is our first OB. We decided to seek help after almost a year of TTC. I chose her after reading the posts here and since her clinic is near Diliman. Im sorry that you had that experience with her. (By the way, I learned that Serophene is produced by the multinational pharma Merck). I agree, medyo mahal nga. In two weeks, hubby and I spent almost 30k na for tests (HSG, TVU, Pap Smear, SA) and medicines. What I like about her though is she's very systematic and on the first day after our consultation, she asked what my religion is. Then she asked me to pray continuously. Kasi instrument lang naman daw sila. And the other reason is completely non-reproductive related. Her sister is a prolific feminist writer. Researcher ako and nababasa ko ang works ng sister niya. Fan girl mode. haha.

my RE OB is dra. sonia desquitado, from healthway and asian. just had one month work up with clomid. got pregnant but it turned out to be ectopic dahil sa endometriosis. i underwent surgery via lap sa knya. she's magaling. :-)

hi sis luxurious, we have the same OB. Nag IVF with Dok Desquitado last Sept 4.. sa victory ginawa... sana mabuo... although feeling ko magkakaron na ako :-( sabi ni dok our next option should be IVF na given that my right ovary is blocked and low sperm count din... and im 39.... We like Dra Sonia because of her realistic and transparent approach to our situation... pray with me please sissies sana mabuo! i've just read that "perfect IUI cycle is only about 10 to 15 percent. This means that about 90 percent of IUI cycles will fail "

^^Agree ako sa sinabi mo sis BerniceHere about Dra Israel. Kung nalaman ko nga lang agad about her dati pa, baka di na kami nagpalipat lipat ng OB. Tama, kada visit namin lagi nya rin sinasabi na magsimba at magdasal kami kasi doktor lang naman daw sila. And yung pag eexplain nya talagang hindi nagmamadali. Like ako, may myoma kasi ako, talagang inexplain nya sa akin kung saan yung pwesto ng myoma ko, marami syang diagrams haha. Gusto nya raw kasi naiintindihan ng patient kung anong case nya. Yung iba raw kasi pag sinabing may myoma, matatakot na. I'm lucky kasi malayo sa pwesto ng baby yung sa akin. Dami rin kami ibang natutunan from her na hindi nabanggit ng mga dati kong OB. Hi sis! last friday sinamahan ko sister ko sa chinese general hospital para magpaconsult kay dr. go-julio. 500php ang check up sa kanya, i don't know kung ganon talaga rate nya. first time palang namin sya na meet kasi nirefer lang sya ng ob namin from bulacan. tumawag ako before sa east west clinic nya (retiro) and nagtanong ako ng consultation fee, according sa secretary 1,000php initial check up then 500 succeeding. plan namin sa retiro mag punta the next visit as suggested by doc julio kasi sa chinese gen by appointment lang sya. although need pa din tumawag sa retiro clinic prior to visit para nakalista na siguro. from where ka ba manggagaling?  hope it would help. Hello there! For those living in Marikina, I will recommend my OB, Dra. Madonna Calderon-Domingo, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist, Gynecologic Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy. Sa St. Victoria Hospital, Tues-Thurs-Sat 4-7pm.

She's so nice po, as from what I have observed kinakausap niya ang patient niya minimum of 30 minutes. Detailed kasi magexplain and ang PF niya is 300 pero pag first visit mo sa kanya is 350. Medyo madami lang talaga siyang patient.

PS. Sa pagkakaalam ko siya or isa siya sa may-ari ng St. Victoria Hospital.
