About "Subscribing" or "Joining" a Thread

Is there a way to subscribe to a thread without flooding it with messages like "pa-join"  "pa-subscribe" - these just add clutter to the thread.

i wish there is.. pati 'thank you' button.. para di na need mag post just to say thank you.. di kasi maiwasan mag thank you. siyempre lalo na if naging helpful naman talaga sayo yung fellow gtalker.

I find it off too that some people say that, "pa-join!" thing or "pasali!" eh wala naman nagbabawal sa kanila mag-post. Hindi na lang mag-post nang diretsahan. Minsan naman yun lang talaga sinasabi nila. Pa-join! Like what the hellboy? Lol.

just click the "NOTIFY" button just above the last/recent comment. no need to post anything, you automatically get alerts from that thread.

humahaba tuloy yung thread na kapag nag backread ka naman, half nun puro "pasali" or "pa-subscribe". hindi ba pwedeng if interested ka sa topic and you want to follow the thread eh mag suggest or comment na lang? kung wala kasi akong mabigay na input pero interested ako, i just place it on my bookmark. ngayon ko lang nalaman yung purpose ng notify button, hehe

i think the purpose of the "pa-join/subscribe" posts is to be updated on that thread, like for example sa blind item thread, di ka naman kasi lagi magpopost ng blind item or manghuhula pero you want to be updated on that thread.

re notify button, hindi ba you are notified by email kasi? i don't know kung ganon pa rin ngayon ha, pero parang mas maganda sana kung sa "show new replies to your posts" na lang automatic makikita yung thread na nagpa-notify ka.

Kung gusto na 1 miyembro maging updated dun sa thread ibookmark na lang kabwisit pala talaga yang pasubscribe pajoin posts na yan. D ko alam if tamad or st***d pero definitely d tamang paraan yan para maupdate

may bago na bang rule dito sa GT na dapat may "pajoin" "pasubscribe" "paattendance" posts before makisali sa discussion sa isang thread?

As far as i know, pwede naman makisali kahit sino sa kahit anong thread dito, whats up with all those attendance messages? Its starting to get annoying since wala atang page na walang attendance post, and whats more annoying eh, hindi mga newbies ang gumagawa, andami kong nakikita na mga old-timers..

Pwede naman i-click ang NOTIFY button sa baba ng thread for alerts sa new replies.

kung wala din naman maipo-post na matino, sana wag na lang ganun. nakakairita kasi sa mata yung "joining", "pa-subscribe". if you are interested to read posts on a certain topic but you having nothing to share, i-bookmark na lang kesa sa magpost ng mga ganun.

I don't want to be notified thru email. Sana kung mapalitan ang program ng "Notify" button na mapasali yung thread sa Show new replies to your posts., mas ok.

osige, ayaw ng notification thru emails, why not say something sensible sa thread? instead of typing pajoin, pasubscribe, etc..?

I have noticed a lot of people just posting "pasubscribe" in a lot of threads I frequent and it gets quite dizzying. when you hit the report to moderator button, malalaman ba ng memeber na yun na ikaw ang nagreport sa kanya?

^No, they won't. I think we should help out in reporting these kind of posts para malinis-linis naman yung forum. Kakairita talaga every time I see subscribing posts na walang added value or contribution sa thread. What's surprising pati mga old timers ginagawa ito, alam naman nilang bawal yun. Kaya pati yung mga newbies gumagaya akala nila okay lang.
