I can't seem to contact Ivatan Lodge.  Doon ko pa sana plano mag-stay.  Ironwulf's contact is no longer connected with it, while happysole's contact is not answering.  Sana pwede na lang mag-walk in pag andun na.

Mr.Punch: I just tried contacting Ate Elisa of Ivatan Lodge - the number works fine (09308511884). Baka mahina signal, try texting her instead. Generally, kung hindi peak season ka punta dun, pwede walk-in. It's what we did.

Batanes din ang nasa list ko... As I was searching for transportation papuntang Batanes, merong route from Tuguegarao-Batanes c/o Sky Pasada..Anyone na nakatry na nito?safe naman ba?and how much kaya ang fare?

I'm seriously considering taking a stab at climbing Mt. Iraya in September.  Hope my visit coincides with Batanes' Indian Summer.

My fiance and I want to spend our honeymoon in Batanes.. It's our dream vacation. What's the cheapest way to go to Batanes? Any suggestion?

^That's a very difficult request.  People announce here seat sales from time to time, but you might not receive the message on time.  Discounted seats get eaten up very quickly.

I suggest that you create a twitter account and sync it to your smartphone, and then follow seair's account so that you'll be alerted whenever they announce seat sales.  Anyway, that's how most of us update ourselves on seat sales.  It's the fastest that I know of.

At saka pala halaman! LOL Nalimutan ko yung tawag. Yung tita ko kasi, tuwang-tuwa dun sa halaman na yun, maganda daw. Kaya ayun, may bitbit pa kaming halaman sa airport.

I just saw this now.  Pinayagan kayo maglabas ng halaman?  Hindi ba bawal yun?  Alam ko kasi protected area ang Batanes.  What kind of plants ba?

^ allowed naman. Sa airport nga namin mismo binili eh. Pero may binayaran lang kami na permit, PHP 100 yata. ( nalimutan ko na) Saka may limit yata. Tatlo naman kasi kami noon, so medyo madami rin kami nadala. Nalimutan ko na rin name nung plants, basta yung madami sa Batanes. You can see it everywhere, tapos minsan pa  kinokortehan nila, minsan naman, malaki na parang puno. hehe kaya nga napansin ng tita ko kasi kahit san kami magpunta nakikita nya. Saka may dala nga rin pala kaming "paco plants" yung nilalagay sa paco salad. Bigay nung tour guide namin. hehe Hindi naman na-question sa airport.

Ang alam ko na bawal, eh yung coconut crab.

just got back from batanes   

sa Batanes Resort din kami nag book. 3 nights namen solo ang resort, sabi nung isang manong para kaming nag rent ng isang buong resort 

although medio luma na yung amenities, wala naman ako masasabi sa services ng resort. super friendly ang staff saka libre ang tubig dito hehe. na shock ata kami sa warmth ng mga ivatans after the cold shoulder treatment we received from some of the staff of coco grove 

yung view din from the rooms panalo. yung food nila masarap and affordable.

@Happy Sole: wala nga sidecar na pede i-rent, so we ended up walking from the resort to the town proper saka sa iba pang destinations namen. exercise 

batanes had been kind to us, wala ako masabi sa courtesy nila. and the view, haaay, i dont want to get started, baka di matapos hehe.

Awwww namis ko nanaman ang batanes dahil sa kwento mo sis  sa batanes resort din kami nung April.. True, ang babait ng ivatans! Ang gaganda ng view! Wish ko makabalik sana kami agad ng batanes!

hehe tipid mode kasi kami. P50 ang trike from batanes resort to basco town proper. tas from town, another P50 sa destination mo. so P100 isang trip kaya ayun tipid hehe. pero maganda naman ang view so ok na din, saka mababait lahat ng tao makakasalubong mo babatiin ka talaga

Gerla_Lou: dibdibang walking malamang ang nangyari sa inyo!! di kayo nag-rent nalang ng tricycle for the day? pano kayo pumunta sa Marlboro Country, etc? anyway, im sure yun pa ang reason kung bakit mas memorable ang Batanes trip ninyo.
