^the bawang and kamatis made me laugh. hahaha. 

at least your cat desn't offer you dead ipis or dead ibon on your bed. mine kasi pareho sila when they kill another animal / insect, they show it to me and i'm always caught by surprise to find it sa bed or sa room. it's their way of showing you daw that they can indeed "hunt and kill", parang proud daw sila so they show it to you kasi you're the alpha cat. 

question to all though, how long do cats really live? may nabasa ako na meron daw cat as old as 20 to 30 years depende sa food and breed. i cant bear to think kasi na my cats would just "go" anytime. my female cat is 3 years old na this may 30 and my male cat is 1 year old na sa july. both are healthy and happy.

^our cat before (RIP) knows we shriek whenever we see lizards. So one time, she placed a dead lizard beside my sister while she was sleeping!

By the way, what do you do with tear stains? Is it normal ba for persian cats to keep tearing up? We clean her naman always and she stays inside the house but always na lang there are tears and they stain her face.

my male cat used to tear up a lot when he was still a baby. the vet said too much tearing are either caused by yeast or bacteria. no relation at all to hygeine. he gave him an antibiotic paste, nawala naman the tearing up kaya lang there's a tiny tear stain pa din. i just clean it whenever i can but it's tough to remove. pero it's too tiny and he doesn't seem to mind at all so i let it be. he's siamese btw.

my other cat has eye issues too. kapag maalikabok or mainit, para syang nagkaka sore eyes palagi tapos kumikirat sya. pag ganito i just use my contact lens solution as eye drops. yun daw pang wash ng eyes ng cats like if they're red and sore and appear irritated sabi ng vet nila. so far wala naman naging problem with this kasi nawawala naman agad yung irritation.

la rin ako alam na murang KMR e, siguro kung ok naman siya sa 1st week na binigay mo yung formula milk nya pwede na yun. Saka kapag 3-4 weeks na siya pwede na siya kumain ng solid foods.

ganyan din mga pusa namin minsan nawawala kasi nanonood ng ibon ng kapitbahay, dahil isang dosena sila di ko makita lahat, may pantawag naman ako yung kuliling ng ice cream, kahit san lupalop pa sila nagpunta babalik pag narinig yun. Kasi nakasanayan nila kakain na pag ganun. 

buti nga yung pusa mo nagtatago na gamit, marunong magligpit. Pusa ko ako ang ginagawang basurahan, palaging naglalagay ng kamatis o kaya bawang sa kama.

           Thanks ulit sis sa pagreply...natuwa naman ako sa kuliling ng bell mo..hehe..sabagay nabasa ko kc na mga cats responds through their sense of hearing..malakas pandinig nila..Binilhan ko na ng KMR baby kitty ko pati na din nursing bottle...marunong na sia dumede..Yey!...sabi naman kc ng bagong vet na pinagtanungan ko...hindi daw pwede infant formula...kaya nagkandabili ako ng KMR..kahit medyo mahal ok lang...Ngayon naman worried ako sa di pagpoop nia..kaya ang ginawa ko..pinalapit ko na lang ulit yung nanay nia para stimulate pag poop nia through licking it's private parts....isa pang ikinakaworry ko..baka mamaya me mga dalang bacteria at parasites mother nia...at mahawa si baby kitty...outdoor cat kc yun eh...kaya super monitor ako ngayon ke baby kits..hay sana magpoop na sia..!

yung puspin ng lola ko umabot ng mga 20-23 years siguro, kasi sabi ng mama ko pagkapanganak ko kuting palang yun. Nadead siya nung nawala na ang lola ko. Yung mga pusa naman namin 8 years old pinakamatanda. Yung 9 years old namin, namatay nung January lang.

Relax ka lang sis, kung sinabi naman ng vet na healthy siya, wala naman dapat ikatakot sa di pagpoop. Saka kitten pa naman baka yung pinapainom mo inaabsorb pa ng body so wala pa dapat ilabas. 

Antay mo sis pag kumakain na siya ng solid foods, baka mapikon ka na pag di ginagamit yung litter box.

sis shiori, i wish my cats would live 20 plus years or even more like your lola's.

iamjoei, sure you're welcome. don't worry too much, i heard persians tear up more than other breeds do din kasi. let us know what happened with the vet.

      Sis shiori..dinala ko si baby kit kanina sa vet...7 days old na sia...premature daw si baby kit..kaya sobrang liit...mabuti daw nabuhay...niresetahan ako ng tiki tiki..pampalakas daw ng resistensia..sabi ko parang me tumutunog sa kanya..parang me sipon..wala naman daw..normal lang daw yun...about daw sa di pagpoop..hayaan na lang muna na naturally sia mag poop...

^haha. sometimes OA na din sa pagkaprotective, she would sleep pa sa gitna namin, para talagang baby! hahaha.

don't worry sis about your cat, i'm sure she will grow up all well and healthy din. and since ikaw na ang parang talagang naging mommy cat nya, she'll be more attached to you. both of my cats were with me on their 2nd/3rd month na, but still they're attached.

              Yey!!! nagpoop na si baby kit!  Grabe iba talaga ang technique ng mother cat sa pagpoop ng baby nia...kahit ano gawin ko massage sa belly nia..ayaw pa din..nung yung nanay na nia ang walang tigil sa paglick sa kanya..ayun me lumabas din! ga pea size...relieve na ako.. Kaya sia na lang responsible sa pag poop nia haha!..ako na lang sa milk...

Guys, just wanted to share.. We bought a Himalayan kitten na female about a month ago. Okay naman, kaso we noticed na nalulungkot pag mag-isa lang sila (nagwwork kasi kami ni fiancé during the day). So we decided to get her a male Himalayan companion after a week. Ayun, super Lumanas kumain and mas naging sociable. Nakakatuwa pala. Kelangan talaga ng kittens na may kasama to develop their skills.

Unfortunately, medyo minalas kami sa breeder ng male kitten. Sobrang healthy daw nung cat and all. Malambing naman yung kitten and active. Immediately after buying the kitten, we brought him agad sa vet for a general checkup and for a bath. We found out the cat had a bad case of ear mites tapos days after a few days humihina na siya kumain and not as active anymore. Kala namin namamahay lang. Until I noticed na yung poop nya very wet and may blood. Panic na kami. We brought him to the vet na and there and then nagpa-test na kami. May Protozoa sa tummy (parang amoebiasis).

Since Sunday siya naka-confine. When we visit him gusto makipaglaro but we can see na he's in pain kawawa. May ear mites na may Protozoa pa tapos kanina malamang na madaming worms

Kaya guys, make sure you get your pets from good breeders. Always double check.  Iniisip nalang namin ni fiancé na nai-rescue namin siya sa breeder who was clearly not taking care of him well.

Hope we can bring him home soon.

^my adopted siamese had ear and eye issues when we got him and some fleas which he might probably got sa mga outdoor cats na pumapasok sa place nila before. but good thing, after months of going to and fro sa vet, his condition got better. ngayon, he's very healthy and happy.

don't worry sis moochie23, i know he'll get better. kitten pa din kasi sya kaya medyo mahina pa immune system nya, but when he gets older, he'll get through it, i'm sure.

iba talaga pag sa Manila, pag may problema mabilis magpunta sa Vet. Dito kasi sa Cavite, parang di kapani paniwala sinasabi ng malalapit na vet, yung tipong mapapatanong ka ng talaga? ows? hahahaha. Yung vet namin ang layo, mga 1 hour byahe, pero ok naman.

Dati gusto ko rin bumili ng my breed na cat, kaso yun nga yung naisip ko na baka may sakit yung mother. Kaya ngayon nag-aantay nalang ako ng magbibigay sakin, tipid pa  Mararamdaman mo naman kung nagaling na yung kitten mo e. Magiging ok din siya.

ano sinabi ni vet about sa fleas, safe and effective daw ba yung flea collar? o dapat yung Frontline talaga yung gamitin?

^frontline sis ang ginamit ko. pati yung una kong cat nag frontline din just in case baka kasi mahawa. tapos pinaghiwalay namin sila ng rooms. eventually nawala din lahat. pinatanggal ko din sa househelp lahat araw araw tapos ligo every 3 days. ayun tanggal. tsaka natuto na din sya maglinis on his own.

^ah, Frontline din gamit ko. Kaso yung pusa ng kapitbahay feeling ko may dalang fleas e, samin ata pinapagpag    Bibigyan ko sana ng flea collar,  kunwari mabait ako haha. E di ko lang kasi sure kung safe, baka mamaya sisihin pa ko.

@baby_chichay Brought my cat to the vet.  It's not an infection.  Some cats tear more than others.  Kaya lang di na matanggal stain unless we use this thing with peroxide.  Kaya lang para ayoko muna because she's still a kitten.

^^sis joei: good to hear that! i read nga din na persians tend to tear more than other breeds, dahil sa facial and eye structure nila. may gel or paste yata na ginagamait to remove the stains. and regarding my moderated post, i was wondering about that too. 

sis shiori: on our dogs before, flea collars don't work on eradicating fleas, so i assume it might not work lalo na on cats. frontline pa din best option. keep your cats indoors na lang, para no contact with the neighbor's cat. kumakagat pa naman sa humans ang fleas, and the peklat is tough to remove. ugh!

sansa123: kawawa naman mga kittens who died.  i suggest, isa-isa lang muna sis lalo na pag kittens pa. lalo na kapag hindi masyadong natututukan sila. kasi i admit para talaga silang baby. dati halinhinan pa kami ni fiance sa pagbabantay kasi yung una naming cat maarte eh gusto sa kama natutulog, so since maliit pa sya non, hiwalay kami ng kama ni fiance kasi yung either isa samin ang katabi ni kitty. later on, natuto na din sya sumiksik sa gitna.

by the way, i'm a bad mommy kasi birthday ni kitty kahapon and i completely forgot about it! she was so makulit pa kagabi and kinagat nya kasi si fiance para gisingin kasi hungry na sya. so as punishment, sa labas ng room ko sya pina-sleep. yun pala birthday nya. 3 years old na sya. tomorrow i'll cook spaghetti, which i do yearly for her birthday, although she's not eating human food, haha.
