just wanna share this kasi nadedepress ako about what happened to my cat.  she just gave birth last saturday kc to 4 kittens.  sadly, all of the kittens died, 3 upon birth and the last one survived for one day and died na rin.  naiyak nga kami ni hubby kc we did everything to save that one kitten. Amber, the mom, were traumatized and in pain kc so she wouldn't feed the little guy. We named the kitten Aryan, it's a Persian name for "strong fighter" because he really fought for his life.  He would cry and crawl to find his mommy kaso d sya marunong dumede mag-isa. we bought him a milk replacer and forced fed him.  on his last hours, he would have seizures and would stop breathing..my hubby even did cpr and he would start breathing again. my hubby almost didn't get any sleep just to watch over him. tapos nung nakatulog na kami dahil sa sobrang stress and pagod, pagkagising namin he's already gone    sobrang sad talaga.
Amber naman wouldn't eat for 2 days and she had trouble walking dahil sa sugat nya.  2nd year wedding anniversary pa nman namin and we already made reservations so we asked my parents to babysit Amber while we're gone.  I had them force feed her and give her vitamins to strengthen her. When we got back, we brought her to the vet kasi mahina pa rin sya.  She was confined na since then and she had bacterina so she needs high doses of antibiotics kasi bumaba na raw yung immune system nya and she's anemic na rin because of the loss of blood.
She'll have to stay at the vet under observation for a week pa we pray talaga na she  gets better soon. we miss her so much

thanks sis baby_chichay..tomorrow dalawin namin sya sana okay na sya. they had to shave her from the waist down para matreat yung mga lacerations nya.  she was overdue raw kasi tapos ang laki pa ng kittens nya.  dapat raw she was brought to the vet while she was pregnant. she would have to go through caesarian. sayang ang gaganda pa naman ng kittens nya sabi ni hubby.  i couldn't bear to look at them kasi. naiiyak ako lang ako.  but i saw Aryan and he's a beautiful dark gray tabby with a white mask around his eyes.

baka ipaneuter na rin namin si Amber when she gets better. i don't think she could take another pregnancy after this

^ parang ganyan din kinatakot ko sa pusa ko dati, nabuntis kasi di namin alam. so after n makita ko na namula na yung nipples, nagbilang na ko kung kaylan siya dapat manganak. kasi natatakot ako na baka cs cya kasi napakaliit ng size nya kumpara sa normal size ng cat. buti nalang sakto lang at nabuhay yung 3 kittens nya.

sana maging ok na yung cat mo.

^yeah we pray so too..we thank God mabait at magaling yung vet nya at hindi over magcharge. medyo malayo nga lang sa house namin. it's nearer sa house ng parents ko sa bulacan so dad ko yung nagvivisit everyday. they call us to give us an update.

yesterday, the vet called me to tell me Amber has a 4-6 inches na laceration from her vagina to her inner thigh and they can't stitch it up kasi may abscess.  they already increased her antibiotic dosage kaso humina talaga yung immune system nya so they'll have to use injectibles.  she needs 2 vials a day. each vial costs 600 na sa drugstore

Just wanna share.. My cat just got confined due to severe constipation. Kawawa kase sobrang nastress siya sa mga procedures. He had to undergo several enemas and had to stay to the vet's clinic for 4 days. Kawawa siya pag naiiwan siya pag vinivisit namin.

Beware lang daw sa food intake nila, di daw pala maganda yung consistent na regular dry cat food. Dapat yung rich in fiber daw (they recommended Meow Mix). Tapos meron ding defurr UM, laxative siya for maintenance. Then once in a while, pinapakain ko narin siya ng pureed squash (just boil a regular kalabasa and mash it) then mix it with your cat's favorite wet food, rich in fiber din kasi yun.

Yun lang.. Just want to share. I got so worried kase, he's 8 years old already and the vet said adult cats are more prone to constipation. And if ignored might lead to serious problems, even death. Wag naman sana. He's a very very sweet and fat cat.

Onga. Tama, dapat talaga well balanced yung diet nila. Ako I feed my cat 3 small meals a day of wet cat food (minsan mixed with rice and a bit of warm water) and then he has yung dry food niya for grazing lang in between. Cats don't really drink much water so they should be getting enough fluids from their meals. So pag napansin niyo yung cat niyo inom ng inom there might be something wrong. For indoor cats it's good also for them to have a grass pot para if they need to graze on actual grass for their tummy. It's not necessarily for fiber but to help puke out bad stuff they can't digest, like lizard bones or fur balls :p

My cat also just got confined for a day because of gastrointestinal problems. Nakakain kasi ng butiki (although there's nothing wrong with that) kaso hindi siya sanay so probably that caused the problem.
It's not really serious but I'm just glad he's slowly eating again.

^Baka patay na yung butiki na nakain nya sis kaya naupset stomach siya? Glad he's doing okay now. Cats are really priceless.. Sobrang kawawa sila pag nagkakasakit!

Hi,

I recently adopted a Persian/Siamese cat (Mom's Persian and the Dad is Siamese). Bought everything he needs, but I find her parang walang gana sa pagkain. He's 2 months na and he's kinda big for a 2 month-old kitten. It's also my first time to adopt na may breed na cat, usually I adopt stray cats (I have 13 stray cats and my new kitty is 14th). He's playful naman but he eats like he doesn't want to eat.

I don't know if it is with the food. I bought LC-vit for Mimi, bakit parang ayaw nya? ganon ba talaga reactions ng cats sa vitamins? And which do you think is better? Whiskas or Friskies? or others?

TIA for suggestions and answers.

we're moving and so we also have to move our cats, 7 big adult cats, problem is we do not have car to transport them and when my parents tried to move them
nangangagat and nangangalmot sila, question ko is what is the best way to move them? sabi ng vet na nakausap ko is need patulugin, takot naman ako coz baka di na sila magising sa ibibigay na pampatulog sa kanila

^^ Have your vet check her, to be sure. Maybe she needs deworming?

^ Have you tried crating them when traveling? Maybe that could help in moving them.

... Anybody who owns a British shorthair here? I really like this breed but I'm not sure if it's available here. San kaya meron?? TIA!!

paano mag-poo poo ang kitten? nakapulot kasi ako (mga 3-4 weeks old) pero hindi sya araw araw nadumi unlike ng mga puppies?

Normally they poo everyday. Just put them where there's soil or sand and they would know what to do. They usually cover up their poop or wiwi after.

First time cat owner here. Actually I'm no fan of cats until hubby got Tam... short for Tamad hehe super tamad kase... I think 2months pa lang sha when hubby brought her home. Malambing si Tam, she's a Siamese btw. Condition ko lang kay hubby is hindi ako maglilinis ng poop niya kasi hindi ko talaga kaya.

Anyway first visit niya sa vet yesterday. Papa-vaccine ko sana ng anti-rabies kaso sabi ng vet, dapat at least 3 months pa daw. Since wala pa siyang check-ups before, I had her checked and groommed na din. Pinade-worm na din sha ng vet. And gev her vitamins LC-vit, 0.5ml to be given through a syringe na binigay sa akin for free. Nakakatuwa kasi tinuruan ako ng vet how to give Tam her vitamins. Pansin ko mas love ako ni Tam kesa sa tatay nya (my hubby). Masungit sha sa ibang tao natakot nga ako kahapon kasi nun kini-clip yung nails niya nilabasan nya ng teeth and kinakalmot yung assistant ng vet, so I ended up cuddling her while the vet clips her nails. We give her Princess cat food and minsan rice na may sabaw. Gusto kasi niya sabay siya sa amin kumakain, minsan dun sia malapit sa table namin kumakain para sabay sa pagkain namin. Sabi pala ng vet, mineral water muna painom sa kanya kasi nauuso daw yung amoebiasis sa cats recently and unlike sa humans, nakakamatay daw yun for them.

Ayun na lang muna ang post ko about Tam.

Thanks for the heads up! Ako naman kasi since cats don't really drink much water and they should be getting all the water they need na from their diet, what I do is I add a bit of hot water sa wet food niya para di siya nagii-inom kung san san. I think he likes it kasi nasanay siya na pag hindi warm food niya di niya kinakain hehe.

^ sakin namin yung mga pusa namin nakasanayan na uminom ng tubig after kumain at maglaro, may 3 inuminan sila sa loob ng bahay at 2 sa labas kaya walang problema. di sila mahilig sa masabaw na pagkain e.

Hello sisses! I recently adopted a kitten almost 2 months old na. mejo nahihirapan ako kasi she loves to play a lot and she often mistakes my hands, legs and feet as toys. masakit pag ina-attack niya ko puro scratch na feet ko... i need your advice. kayo rin ba mga sis naexperience nio to?

pwede rin kuha mo siya ng kalaro para di kana maiistorbo.

^ sis natawa ako sa plastic bag pero tama ka lalaruin niya yun... pwede din tali yung tipong tali na naka hang ayun lalaruin niya yun. si tam namin ganun eh yung tali na naka lawit sa ilalim ng stairs namin and laruan niya. patalun-talon sha dun nilalaro yun tali.
