^feeling ko rin sis nabigla body nila sa dosage ng vit.c much better to inform your vet of your cats' condition, baka ibaba ni vet dosage o kaya gawing every other day ang take..

malamang nga kasi twice a day yung intake nya tapos ganun karami... hayz, sana lang maging okay na yung throat nya para makakain na sya. stop muna ang vit for now... will call the vet din later when i get home

^sis, baka nga na-over ang vit. C nya. When we had our cats take vit. C before ang range ng dosage nila is from 1ml to 1.5ml once a day lang. My cats' weight range were from 9lbs to 17lbs. Yung 17lbs ko na cat ang nag-tetake ng 1.5ml.

big na ng mga cats mo sis... parang bebe cat pa rin si nyaowee eh... barely 2.5 lbs. we'll take them off the vit c for now... or maybe just give them lesser doses. niswitch ko na rin sila from ceelin to tiki-tiki para sa lysine. yung pang bebe na rin ang kinuha ko para hindi masyadong mataas yung dose tapos will keep it at .25 ml.

^Kaya nga nagulat ako sa dosage na bigay sa yo ng vet. The smaller the cat the less dosage dapat maski sabihin mo pang baby pa yung vits na binibigay.

When my cats were still small I don't remember them taking vit. C. Kumpleto kasi sila sa shots nila. Nito na lang malaki na sila nag vit. C kasi sinipon yung isa kaya naghawa-hawa na. Mga 2-3 weeks din namin pinagtyagaan bigyan ng vit. C and that's times 9 cats ha.

hi sisses! ako naman mag-iinquire ngayon, i just got curious if you have other way of giving vits to your cats? i mean what do u use, how do u deal with your cats pag iinom sila vits? ako kasi gamit ko is either disposable syringe or yung glass dropper para na-i-sterilize and pagpapainom is pag sobrang hirap talagang painumin ginagawa ko is hinahawakan ko sila sa batok (pls imagine how mommy cat carry their baby) tas tsaka ko drop vits sa mouth nila. may other way ba kau? minsan naman nilalagyan ko rin ng vits yung water nila. sa kittens ko pala is 1ml a day and sa adults naman is 2.5ml a day din. 9 din total cats ko 5 kittens around 4-5 months then 6 adults 1 year old and up. baka may mas madaling way kayo kasi im away from them and parents ko ang nag-aasikaso sa kanila. thank u!

^I don't think I can do it alone. It's always a two person operation. Either my hubby or our manang will hold the cat and ako yung mag-administer ng vits or meds using a plastic syringe. Mas madali to give liquid meds/vits compared to tablets.

hi omneecka....ako i use the disposable syringe. hawak ko siya from behind tapos medyo lightly sa jaw tapos yong right hand ko ang may syringe. ibinubuka naman niya pero mabilis lang dapat ang pag bigay. dati ako slow motion e parang mas natotorture siya pag ganun. pagkatapos sabi ko "good girl" hehe

mama squeak!!! grabe ang damiiiiiii mong cats. ang saya saya niyan pero naiimagine ko ang gastos sa maintenance, food at vet bills hehe...nakapagtransition na nga pala ako sa orijen (700 pesos 2.5 kg). premium cat food din siya parang science diet and royal canin pero "grain free" siya. i still give her lc vit pero feeling ko later on pag naubos na yong vitamins, baka hindi na din kailangan dahil complete naman na ang nutrition. observe ko na lang how it goes.

question lang po, pinapaliguan niyo po ba mga babies niyo? yong sa akin kasi habang kitten pa sinasanay ko na siya ng once a week or minsan every 10 days pinapaliguan ko lukewarm water. nagagawa ko naman ng walang kalmot mag isa lang ako ehehhe...nagpoprotesta siya, mild lang,  pero hindi naman nagpapapalag, huwag lang bibitawan at talagang tatakas.

and also, tinootoothbrush niyo ba sila? hindi ko talaga maimagine kung paano kong gagawin ito. feeling ko talagang parang giyera kaming 2 pag tinry ko kasi pag ginugupitan ko ng kuko nagwawala na siya eh, what more yong tootbrush.

They eat Science Diet dry food + various brands of canned food with low sodium content (science diet, nature balance, fussy cat, etc..)

good morning mga sis,

we're sad ngayon kasi nyaowee and addie had moved on to the rainbow bridge this morning. i just realised that it's calicivirus, so yung mga natira namin, tuloy na ulet angn vit c plus lysine, but i'll keep it sa .25ml pero twice a day. kumakain naman yung 2 big kitties, so added mushroom sa diet nila. yung isang baby kitty, hindi na nakain, so tuloy na lang ang hydrite.

i suggest mga sis, you boost your kitties immunity ngayon. uso yata ang calicivirus, yung isang neighbor namin who had a lot of cats lost all of them neto lang.

in administering vits and meds, two-man thing nga siya, my sis and i usually do it. she hold the nape tapos i hold the body then she gives the vits. we usually follow it up with water, lalo na pag hindi nila gusto yung lasa. just make sure that they let their tongue our (yung parang naglilick sila) once in a while to make sure they take the meds.

@ sis mama squeak - ako naman sis i can do it alone kaso sa mga adults eh expected ko ng may kalmot ako after.. hehe! 

@ sis meyie68 - thanks for sharing sis. di ko sila pinapaliguan and toothbrush, punas-punas lang gawa ko with damp cloth.

hayz... ang sad lang talaga... para akong nanlalambot... i know there's another thread for this, pero parang hindi ko kayang stay dun... ang bigat lang sa dibdib... diversion na ito 

anyway, sis meyie, we try to give them a bath whenever we can. maganda rin yung habang kitty pa sila eh sanay na sila maligo. but cats are not really used to taking a bath, okay lang yung lukewarm, tapos we wash their paws and pwet-pwet once in a while for hygiene. toothbrush naman, we dont brush their teet, but we use clean cloth (yung parang lampin ng baby), wet it with water, then rub sa teeth and gums. minsan may baking soda, pero konti lang.

@ Prunella: hi. saan mo nabibili yong canned food with low sodium content (science diet, nature balance, fussy cat, etc..)... i feed her Orijen dry cat/kitten and ang wet food niya is whiskas. prize, fancy feast, royal canine kitten na nasa pouch. im trying to look for those food you mentioned kaso so far hindi pa ako nakakakita ng ganyang brands ng canned.

i just got back from the vet. my baby has tripled in size since i picked her up from the streets. 1.5 kgs na siya lol....natapos na yong mga vaccines against common diseases. one more shot (antirabies booster) and puro next year na ang succeeding vaccines niya. regular deworming na lang every 4 months.

sis mafia, same tayo hahaha..minsan pinipigil ko talagang paliguan ng paliguan kasi nga daw sabi huwag papaliguan ang pusa. pero habang kitten pa lang talagang sinasanay ko na. okay naman daw sabi ng doctor kahit twice a week. huwag lang every day. at saka, hinuhugasan ko din ang paws niya and puwet lol.. e naloloka mga friends ko bakit daw nililinis ko. parang akala nila na o OC ako sa kitten ko. so nice to know na ginagawa din talaga ito ng iba.

thanks for the suggestion about the wet cloth...i might try to do that. ang mahal kasi ng parang toothpaste/gel na no need to brush, pinapahid lang sa gums, na sinasabi ng vet. 400 pesos! sabi naman ni bf, no need to brush daw kasi pag naglalaro with the toys, nalilinis na din ang ngipin because of the cloth sa toys niya at saka sabi naman ng vet yong dry food, nakaka-exercise ng jaw at na ra rub na din ang ngipin...so depende kung magkakabudget ako in the next few weeks kung papatulan ko yong paste na mahal! lol

even if cats really clean themselves na, we should still help them clean up, lalo na yung paws, kasi they step on everything, especially sa litter box nila. minsan kasi may mga sumasabit na claws nila yung wet na litter sand. minsan naman maputik pag nagplay sila sa may garden. sa pwet-pwet naman, for obvious reasons... brushing their teeth naman, true din na when they play with their toys, nacclean na rin yung gums and teeth nila while giving them the exercise they need. nga lang, yung sa may bandang bagang, hindi naabot, so we still need to help them clean up

How old is your baby?

My baby boys just turned three. And super bigat. I've been told they'll still grow and weigh up to 10 kgs.    Nyay. Hirap buhatin papunta sa vet.

^hi sis! i remember when i stayed in SG, grabe ang tataba ng mga puskals dun! haha! kaya pag nagja-jog ako and may nakikita akong puskals i cant help but to play with them, ang tataba kasi and ang lilinis naman.. i know they are puskals kasi yung isang ear nila is may cut and wala silang lace kasi di ba usually pag may may-ari sa cats may lace sila.. i miss my SG cats na rin though di naman talaga sila akin, cats ng neighbors namin pero nilalaro ko lagi and pinangalanan ko pa sila as if they are mine and pinapakain ko sila secretly kasi baka makita ng may-ari.. hehe!

Hi, sis. You lived in SG pala before. Yeah, karamihan ng stray cats dito matataba. Haha! Marami kasi nagpapakain sa kanila. I don't let my boys go out and mingle with them, though. Maaarte kasi alaga ko.
