^^ ii was not able to get the ear solution for my cat coz i got sick right after we went to the vet. now naman my cat's in heat. she keeps on whining and making "landi".i try to guard her from stray male cats baka kasi i-mate nya yun eh.

Hi Everyone!

I'm planning to get cat but before that i would like to know what to feed them.

I have friskies, fancy feast and Whiskas on my list. Which do you think are the best from among those?

And is it better to feed them wet or dry?

How does it go with your cats?

we alternate Whiskas and Friskies. Dry naming pinapakain.

I feed my cat Frieskies dry cat food eversince. But sometimes they get a treat from their meow-my and I give them Friskies canned wet food, super like nila

i feed my cat friskies whiskas or princess pag wala me time magtimpla ng food nya.. i usually prepare his food yung himayhimay na chicken or fish feeling ko mas nabubusog sya dun e hinahaluan ko ng 1 spoon of rice para madami sya makain hihi.. hindi kasi sya pwedeng dry foods palagi nagsasawa sya pag yun at yun ang kinakain..

mga sis sorry if this is OT hmmm... gusto ko kasi palahian yung persian (male) cat ko me idea ba kayo about cat "shooter" ewan ko kung tama yung term ko parang yung sa dogs din?..  me kilala kayo nag-gaganun? me mga stray cats me na girls pero gusto ko sana persian din kasi naman tumatanda na cat ko di man lang nalahian..

Sis how old nag start mag heat ang cat mo? Samin kasi 5  months pa palang. asus! parang di ko na kayang hintayin na mag one year sya para makapag mate. Super kakahiya sa kapitbahay yung ingay nya tapos every other week sya in heat. waaaa! as in one whole week tahimik, the next ngawa nang ngawa. Palitan lang. 7 months na sya ngayon and parang gusto ko na lang ipa spay agad

Alam ko sis since male ang sayo, ikaw ang mag oofer sa mga owner ng female cats then pag successful, u either get a cash payment or 1 female litter.

Currently we feed our cat friskies. yun kasi food nya nung makuha namin sya sa breeder. Nung nag dry whiskas sya nagkasugat sya sa tenga. We plan to change it to Royal Canin pag me extra budget na kasi friskies and whiskas are sort of junk food daw pero yung wet type nila are okay naman. Other brands na nabasa kong okay naman are orijen, princess, and acana. Yung Iams, there are reports na namatayan ng cat on that diet kaya medyo hesistant ako sa kanya.

If you are always busy and only give dry food to your cats most of the time, make sure to always give them enough water and wet food atleast every morning.
If you're getting milk, make sure na yung pang pet lang talaga such as Cosi, cost around P100 a box

my ragdoll is 5 months and mukha namang hindi pa siya in heat...we're looking for a male for her din pero no luck pa talaga...sayang naman kasi...i was thinking ipapa spay ko din na lang para hindi siya mag-heat

As cats are obligate carnivores (they need to eat protein-meats,poultry,fish) they should eat meat based feeds.Give consideration to the following-

1-Budget-how much are you willing to shell out for the meals of you pet?

2-health benefits- some cat owners take into consideration what's best for them in the long run vs.all other considerations.Others only feed their cat "human" grade meats/cuts as most commercial feeds are made from left over parts; cats also do not need carbohydrates as much as they don't  really digest it-neither do they need veggies.Other even go the extra mile of feeding only ORGANIC-based cat food.

3- pet's preference-if you feed them a variety of feeds, they will be the ones to tell what you which brand/kind they prefer.

I feed my ragdoll Fancy Feast (canned) in all varieties possible, 1 can per meal.Swerte ko kasi a pet store delivers it as long as I meet the 40 dollars purchase ( I buy bt the bulk, 2 cases each time and I exceed that delivery amount),alternatively with Fussy Feline canned food (mostly salmon) which she loves. For lunch I give her a pouch of Whiskas Appetizers in chicken (she goes ga** over the sauce! parang sabaw!)
I've read that as much as possible we should not feed our cats dry food as they don't drink much water ( and I think my cat falls into that category).She eat dry food only a handful at a time-she doesn't like it, irregardless of the brand

since male yung cat mo, you can buy a female persian cat. i've seen ads selling adult proven (meaning they've already given birth) cats.  or like sis chardonnay said, you can have an arrangement with someone w/ a female cat.

but i would have to say, cat mating takes time.  parang relationship lang, they have to go get to know each other and go through "courtship". it may take a week or more. hindi pwede yung parang sa dogs na pwedeng iforce with a shooter.  so you'll have to leave your cat with the owner of the female cat or borrow her to live with you for a few weeks until you know she's pregnant

^^ i just got her a few weeks back. she's two years old na. she had kittens na din. one is with my cousin. hay, hirap kapag in heat siya. ang ingay ingay di ka makatulog.

we feed our cats Iams..they also like royal canin but it's so expensive and a bit hard to find. our local vet sells iams by the kilo and it's relatively cheaper than buying it from the mall. 

we tried feeding them acana prairie feast but for some reason, they won't eat it unless they're really starving. as much as possible, we don't feed them whiskas or friskies because i heard they contain loads of meat byproducts, grains and glutens which is not good for cats.  we do mix the kibbles with canned wet food (whiskas, fancy feast or royal canin)..ayaw kasi nila ng plain dry food lang.

^ganyan talaga sila sis hannab..r u considering breeding her? it may be a solution to sis princess_neko's problem..just a thought    or you can get a male cat para may "playmate" sya

if not naman, you can have her spayed para d na sya magheat

My cats before they turned 8 months old puro wet food (fancy feast), then after 8 months combination na. twice a day fancy feast, mid day dry food. Dry food either Iams or Nutragold.

^^ TRUE! My cat is so fussy, ayaw ng dry food! Paminsan-minsan she tastes people food usually curious sa ano kinakain ko...minsan bread with cheese,yogurt...konti lang, pinapatikim ko lang kasi inaakyat na talaga niya ako, ayaw ako tantanan!para di niya makalimutan na food yung dry kibble,ginagawa kong topping sa wetfood mga 1 spoon ng dry food.

I have a bad experience with dry food, namatay Himalayan ko with a kidney disease...Royal Canin pa yung feed niya nun,sabi ng vet dapat daw talaga WET food ipapakain sa cats kasi di nga raw palainom ng water (most of the fluids they need they get from the food-kaya pala ang pungent ng amoy ng cat pee, super concentrated!).Pero kibble is good for dental hygiene, it sort of scrubs their teeth so dapat kahit paminsan ipapakain pa rin ito...

weeee... sis hannab80 whats your cat po? mine is a male persian cat.. stud services pala ang tawag dun.. gustong gusto ko din talaga palahian cat ko.. kaso lapo me idea sa ganyan.. my cat is some kinda virgin pa hihi, cat EB tayo hihi
