i agree 100% sa book kasi ang hirap basahin the words, the terms used.. grabe.. some parts bored me..some parts di ko maibaba..up and down eh.. but after watching the movie.. that tied it up...i understood the LOTR trilogy better..kasi ang galing ng pagkakagawa ng movie.. scenery, background, the actors, lahat..sa utak ko kasi (using my imagination lang) while reading hinde ganun kaganda ang visualization ko...

agree with percy jackson.. sobrang disappointing yung movie! even na lang sa pagkuha nila nung gaganap na annabeth hindi pa nila sinunod sa book.. ugh!

Worst: The Lovely Bones: Mas maganda yung movie kesa sa book. After ko mabasa yung book feeling ko mabigat sa dibdib kasi napaka tragic.

Which is why ang pangit gumawa ng Fox ng book to movie adaptations. Laging epic fail. Sila na ata ang worse sa lahat pagdating sa ganyan. They always manage to destroy a good book.

          true blood. kasi naman SOBRANG LAYO na ng true blood sa book. dapat "characters taken from the book" na lang siya. hmph. bitter. ahaha.

best - lord of the rings (or maybe dahil sobrang lalim ng english di ko lang siya naintindihan. ahaha.
       - pride and prejudice (same reasoning)

Twilight series (sorry to all fans but i have better actors in mind  ...)
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (sobrang layo ng kwento sa book)
The Notebook (I think the melancholy drama of the book is not caught in the movie... sensya na bias because this is my all time fave from Nicholas Sparks series...)

mahilig din akong magcompare ng book to movie adaptations

nicholas sparks - nakakaiyak sa movies pero mas emotional sa books (of course)
best: the notebook (best movie kiss right?), walk to remember
good: nights in rhodante, message in a bottle, dear john
almost bad: the last song (though for me the book is good) maybe because naunang isulat yung movie before the book kaya ang layo ng story compared to other adaptations. and i dont like miley cyrus. sorry.

princess diaries - both are funny kahit ang layo na din ng stories nila (especially yung 2nd movie)

bridget jones' diary - same with princess diaries

dan brown - love his books, disappointed with the movies. bitin kasi, ang daming good parts na kelangan tanggalin. pero naappreciate ko na i get to see visuals ng settings nila.

c.s lewis chronicles of narnia - never fails to take me to narnia.

devil wears prada - i like the movie more. na-bore ako sa book. i don't think kayang i-capture sa book ang facial expression ni meryl streep. i love/hate her.

five people you meet in heaven - very good book, very weird movie

the godfather - boosts my testosterone level. the book and movies are really good. correction, they're great. no wonder guys love them.

and kahit as a movie lang, (hindi na book-to-movie) i guess sasabihin ng mga movie critic na ampangit talaga ng HP. marami silang deus ex machina moments. hmph. hahaha. kaya wala masyadong napapanalunan na award ang mga HPs di ba, compared to LOTR.

Angels and Demons-for me, mas ok ang movie sa book, the scientist is not the gals father in the book.

dan brown books - sana di na lang ginawang movie. tom hanks does not fit the role talaga! I would have preferred Nicolas Cage or mas maganda Harrison Ford but he is too old na. After watching the da vinci code, di ko na pinagaksayahang panoorin yung angels and demons.

Maganda iyong book as in one of the shock of my life! And then sa movie, nyek ang gulo ha! If you never read the book and watch the movie, hindi mo maiintindihan.

Kaya ako, I prefer to read the book muna then watch its movie.

tama ka sis.. nawala ang thrill sa movie.. talagang ang ganda ng book.. i think i finished it in 2 days lang..

^yung the lost symbol in development na yung movie adaptation. sana naman ayusin na nila kasi i didn't like this book as much as the two other robert langdon books, i hope i wont get disappointed lalo with this installment.

Worst for me is The Time Traveler's Wife because I love the book berry match lol so super disappointed with the movie.

I've seen the movie too. I won't say it was the worst, but I'll say I'm disappointed. There were so many layers in the story and so many notable characters (and their personalities) that got left out. At 147 minutes it was too short talaga to show the story.

Rachel McAdams as Clare was marvelous (luminous even). I hated Eric Bana's hair in the movie; ang sabi kasi sa libro Henry had long hair, but it didn't say he had long ugly hair. Although hindi ko siya hihindian if he suddenly appeared right in front of me stark nekkid.
