Digiscrapping - Part 4

^Sis Gwacie wow! gusto ko rin maging hobby na for real ito.  Right now kasi kung kelan lang sipagin at ma-inspire hehe.

^aahh... meron nga din ako mga video tutorials na hindi ko binubura sa PC ko... para di ko makalimutan. I try making at least one every week or every two weeks... para at least hindi ko makalimutan and I send them to my friends kasi... tsaka ginagamit ko din to make website layouts

Sis yan ba yung pinadala mo sa kin? Di ko sya mabuksan, may password...

Have anyone of you tried the paper scrapbook? That made me remember, when I was in highschool, hindi naman talaga scrapbook yung ginagawa ko pero yung mga album ko ayoko lang ng puro pictures.  Naalala ko I would cut out letters from magazines, pictures, then add stickers, etc. 

I don't consider myself artistic.  Don't know how to paint, draw, etc.  kaya siguro nahilig ako sa photography and digiscrapping kasi ito lang ang only way na pwede ko i-express ang "artistic"side of me haha!

nung bata pa ako, paper scrapbook din ginagawa ko. at hanggang cut and paste lang din. Hindi pa ako marunong pagdraw dati... actually hindi rin ako marunong magdrawing hanggang ngayon. But kahit papaano natututo ako from reading reference books and watching video tutorials. Kaya ko na magdraw ng still life. I'm just starting out sa pagdraw ng face. sobrang hirap ako.  pero one of my frustrations ang painting LOL

^^ alam mo sis, same tayo, I was never artistically inclined noon, kaya nga natutuwa ako at sa ibang field din like photography or digiscrap din ako nahihilig. although up to now  newbie pa rin ako kasi sobrang daming pagaralan. Buti ka pa nga you started on making your own embellishments and other stuff. Ako wala ako tyaga LOL!!! keep it up sis!

^Sis Silverbarrow naku yung mga embellishments na nagawa ko not worth looking at hahahah! Na-frustrate nga ako kaya tinigil ko.  Tapos ngayon bumili na lang ako  ng Kits.  Last week nga I had to read a lot of TOU just to be sure na ok sa kanila yung S4H or S4O, and that I can use the kits not just once.

speaking of drawings, when I was around 5 - 6 yrs old, I was actually interested in drawing.  Like ko nun yung drawing ng girls and faces.  I was actually good kung drawing lang naman ng 6yrs old ang pag uusapan.  Pero di ko na-developed kaya ngayon hanggang photos and scrapbooks na lang ang drama ko hahaha!

I consider myself the non-artistic one in the family. My brother can do charcoal portraits while my mother used to do oil paintings. I doodle but I can't draw well, so digiscrapping is where I express my art. I tried paper scrapping (there is another thread here in GT for that) but I'm bad at it. My friend who is into it tried to get me to do it, and while I try, I usually end up gluing the layout to the table, cutting crooked lines, or making the layout lopsided. No coordination. Sigh...

^ same tayo sis! i also tried traditional scrapbooking. unfortunately, it was more expensive 'cause you can't "undo" things, when you make a mistake. plus the fact that the scrapbook materials were a bit bulky and occupy some space in our small room. my son was also messing with my scrapbook materials (i.e. paper, embellishments, cutter) so I decided to shift to digital na lang.

after a month, and thanks to the looong weekend, i was able to create 3 layouts these past days. share ko lang..

^Sis Slickchick I so love the calendar layout...thanks for sharing.  You gave me an idea what to give my friends this Christmas.  Now I just need to gather pictures : )

^^Sis Gwacie, I too can't do the old fashion way of scrapbooking.  The closest thing I did was to add magazine cutouts, stickers, etc. to my highschool album.  Expensive kasi, saka may pagka-fickle minded kasi ako so digiscrapping is the better option.

^i do! most of my kits are from SSD, shabby princess and SMJ.
pero yung usual kits lang, not for S4H.
grabe ako kung makapagbackup ng kits, meron sa DVDs and sa EHD.
kakahinayang kasi mawala pag purchased eh. konti lang din kits ko.
meron ako mga fave designers kasi. saka hirap ako mag mix and match so minsan isang LO, isang kit ang gamit ko. paulit ulit ko lang din ginagamit minsan lalo na kits ko from shabby princess. 

depende kasi sa taste mo eh.
yung SSD kasi mahilig ako sa mga pinks and oranges combinations.
tapos SMJ naman kasi mukhang paper scraps talaga.
si shabby princess is combination of both, pinks and mukhang tunay na elements and papers.

^thanks Sis.  Last year kasi I was just looking for freebies. But when I bought my first kit last week...it made digiscrapping more enjoyable.

I got my kits in gottapixel (goodness addicting Sis! LOL) .  Pero I want to venture into other sites para naman maiba. Nasa EHD ko lang files ko.  Gusto ko na rin iburn sa CDs.  Paranoid ako hahaha! Even though I bought it for $1-4 some of them will soon be retired and I won't find them anymore.

Before I do mix and match, but now I focus on one kit. Most of the time kaunti lang ang element na nagagamit ko.  But I like it that way, my motto kasi in scrapbooking is KISS (Keep it simple & straightforward)

I'll visit the sites you have recommended and see if I find anything I like.  Pero sa Shabby Princess ata they don't have the S4H/S4O na.. yun ang hanap ko kasi...

Hi, just started digiscrapping lang din, because I want to create an album for covering my daughter's first year, plus another album for her birthday.  What sites can you suggest na I can go to for inspiration or tutorial?

As for me, I always go to gottapixel for inspiration, go to the gallery and you could see awesome layouts! If I want to know how to do something naman, I just google it up or watch it in youtube.

Buti ka pa Sis you have a baby.  Yan din plan ko sana I'd get lucky and get pregnant right after the wedding next year hehe.  Even yung pagbubuntis ko gusto ko gawan ng album

naiinggit ako sa LO nyo girls, ang gaganda! mine is so simple:( actually, nagagamit ko sya sa office kapag merong may birthday/aalis ng team, I am always assigned to do picture books, simpleng picture with konting design, then a space for the message.. then have it ring bind (mga 20pages), and yun na yung instant gift ng team! kaya lang, kapag nakikita ko yung designs nyu, nahihiya ako sa gawa ko:( hehhe

Paano nyu ginagawa yung curled ribbons/ties, eto talaga gusto ko malaman coz it really add effects!! plus those cute handwriting fonts.. sorry, kuripot kasi ko, umaasa lang ako sa mga libre sa internet:P

also, alam nyo ba saan pwedeng magpaprint ng parang book type na picturebook.. if you have seen it sa may glorietta 1st flr, malapit ata sa may information area yun, yung may mga picturebooks, ang mahal kasi sa kanila, 40pesos ata for 5R back to back page lang... gusto ko sana ganun yung printed material, lagi kasing mate phot paper gamit ko lang kasi mura:p 6/page.. hhehe
