I'm also considering Manresa, kaya lang sabi sa akin nung isang mom sa school ng anak ko they are no longer accepting incoming grade 1, closed na daw. But she said na try pa rin daw namin medyo na bad trip kasi sya sa registrar when she went there.

for pre-school around 37k tuition. 

This is true.  We were there last weekend and I was impressed in the pre-school rooms.  They are air-conditioned, has their own restroom inside the classroom separated boys and girls.  They also have their own sink inside the room and their play area in front of their rooms naman.  It's a big school and super ok kami dito ng husband ko kasi reasonable din yung tuition.  You will not be worried if your kid will be riding a school service because there will be someone who will attend for your kid going to their classrooms. =)

Nag-aral ako sa Manresa. I am planning to enrol my son this coming school year. Mababait mga taga manresa. We were taught simplicity talaga kaya yung mga magagandang pwedeng mag inarte, magugulat ka kasi ang sisimple. Di ko maalala exact details parang 30 students per class. 4 sections in a level. Relationship with the nuns and the teachers are very close. Nature oriented ang place. May kamahalan nga pero the best naman THAN enrolling my son to the same leven ng tuition fee o mura pero ma ttreat badly ang son ko.

Naalala ko lang sa Manresa na sobrang OKAY:
1. Pagkatapos mag exams didirecho kami sa chapel to ask forgiveness if we cheated on the exams.

2. Di kami sinasanay sa mga branded items especially sa uniform. Bawal ang Guess na Socks. LOL. Yun lang ang kaya kong ibrag nun, bawal pa.

3. Bawal ang mayabang. Lahat ng mayabang na kaklase ko ngayon maamo na.

4. Di kami sinsanay mag drive thru pag field trip. Dapat dala ng baon unlike ngayo sa ibang schools, Jollibee talaga.

Marami pang bagay.... Postk o pagnaremember ko pa.

Anyway sis, magkano na ba Grade 1 dun?

natuwa naman ako dito, kikay gimikera.  I am amazed with the "simplicity" thing and the "yabang".. hahahaha..   well, this really shows the values our kid can get.  Unlike other private schools out there.

True sis. Its my dream for my son to get in Manresa. Kaso nga lang close na daw ang Grade 1 slots nila. Grade 2 na ang son ko and I just sent him in a bad school Parang nagaksaya ako ng pera. Promise. Kaya I dont know what to do.

Manresa is okay naman. Ang kaso lang for pre-school nagkamali sila ng leveling for k12 last year, imbis na prep na anak ko, naging nursery 2. Now pinapagsummer nila para daw maka-catch up and this is compulsary otherwise hindi siya pwede mag-assessment test. mahuhuli siya for grade 1. We have summer plans na so wala ako magawa kung hindi ilipat at iapply siya as grade 1 sa ibang school.

@andreil_19 - the only way to commute from alabang is to take a tricycle from toyota bf gate and go straight to Manresa.  Unless there's public transport going through Alabang Hills, then I couldn't think of any other way.  It might be better if you get him a service

Maybe for highschool abot na din ng 60-70k (tuition and other fees). For my son who is in grade 3 now, we paid around mga 47k kasama na books. For preschool abot na siguro ng 45k.

hi mga sis,

nag-inquire ako ngayon sa Manresa for grade 1 incoming student : cash - 42,974.33 plus 2,300 for the books. plan kasi nmin ni hubby i-enroll yung son nmin next school year 2014-2015. ngayon plang ng-sscout na ko ng school, para mapag-ipunan na nmin.. dalawa kasi yung anak nmin.. kaya mas affordable talaga.. ask ko lang sana mga sis kung may swimming pool ba dito and air-conditioned ba ang mga classrooms for all levels.. tingin nyo kelan ko dapat ipagtest yung son nmin, natatakot kasi ako baka maubusan siya ng slot for grade 1.. thanks mga sis..

^sis, wala silang swimming pool and non-air conditioned ang classroom. For SY 2014-2015 usually
Sept or 4th quarter sila nag-aaccept for new pupil/student.

ahhh ganun sis.. thanks for your reply.. pero okay lang din, still mas cheaper sila sa Seton and San Beda alabang.. dun ba nag-aaral kids mo??

^yes, incoming grade 1 but she will take the bridge course para grade 2 na sya this school year.

ahhh okay sis.. kwentuhan mo [textspeak!] kami sis about the curriculum of Manresa.. i heard kpag sa Manresa ka mababait ang mga students.. kaso strict daw talaga ang mga madre dun..

My daughter is studying in Manresa. IMHO Very traditional ang teaching approach like ang comment ko lang sa preschool math, they are asked to draw sticks instead of practicing how to count backwards just like what her former tutor who uses progressive / montessori curriculum. Conservative, simple, traditional. Thats how i can describe it. Ok naman natututo naman anak ko. Issue ko lang yung teachers d masyado maganda diction ng english tho yung classmates ng anak ko ok naman. Value for money naman. Pero given a choice kung kaya ko, i would like to send my kid to zobel.

thanks for the feedback sis.. maybe sa highschool na nmin ilipat sa san beda alabang yung 2 kids nmin, mejo mabigat kc kung dalawa sila agad.. i'm really looking forward to visit manresa and personally inquire there, together with my son, para makita nya rin yung school.. he's so excited na to go sa big school..
