We live in a condo at maliit lang yung space namin. Nagtanim kami ng mga halaman sa pots. We also segregate biodegradable and non-biodegradable garbage.

We plant veggies in the rooftop.
The helper cuts all empty plastics of zesto, biscuits wrappers etc and we put it in a heart-shaped plastic I sew, parang unan.Pinapanregalo ng daughter ko sa friends nya pag Pasko to encourage them also to be artistic and to recycle.
Empty bottles are given sa nagkakariton para mabenta nila. I also placed a box sa gate for the tenants to do the same.
I make my own fertilizer from veggies and fruits peelings.

Over the years  I think I've become more conscious of preseving the environment and I've made better choices overall to improve my lifestyle.
It's not just about recycling anymore.   Now I understand why people choose to become vegan, choose to eat organic and avoid GMOs, why you choose to support local and sustainable fair trade companies. Documentaries like The Human Experinent or True Cost can be really eye opening, The more I know the better choices I make.

-Everytime I shop i would bring an extra bag to put all the items instead of using the store plastic bag.

-We don't have aircon so tuwing summer bukas lahat ng bintana and pintuan fresh air pa.

Tama! ^^ The more na bumibili ka, the more waste na nagagawa. Kasi you stop using other items.

Yung iba kasi ang tingin nila sa recycling is plain reusing something for a lesser purpose. Upcycling aims to do more. You re-use something by giving it a higher purpose.

Old shirts upcycled to scarves.. gandang project!

2. pag may paper bag yung binili, we try to reuse the paper bags as gift bag

3. i signed up as a dealer of eco friendly toiletries and detergents from Human Heart Nature kasi hindi nagco cause ng harm sa waters natin : soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, other beauty products.

As of now, we are waiting for the release of the bank loan para makalipat na.

2. planning to use cloth diapers for my baby. kung kayang maging exclusive CDing, the better. working mom kasi ako.

---sa bahay naman, kahit wala kaming lot na mapagtataniman, my husband and I have talked about growing some herbs and veggies in pots sa balcony, garage and utility areas. we are also exploring the idea of making our DIY vertical garden using empty bottles.

not sure if may idea na ganito dito sa atin, I heard sa ibang bansa nabebenta yung empty bottle perfumes and boxes and jars basta malinis.
I appreciate prescripto and zenzest particulary when buying colognes or perfumes kasi they give discounts when you return their empty bottles.

yung empty jars ko (i.e. spread jars) pinaglagyan ko ng mga spices and herbs sa bahay.  I do my own dipping sauces and put them there.  Last Christmas, ganon ang pinamigay kong gift sa friends:)

so much we can do to reduce waste!  Keep the ideas coming :)

Those apparently don't dissolve in water and they're polluting the sources. :(

Buti naman! Grabe talaga. To exfoliate, I just stick to loofahs. The best yung organic talaga, not yung plastic. Gawa pala sa pepino yon!

Anybody using an electric bike? I want to know what brands you can recommend. I was planning to get another motorcycle, but this idea to get a e-bike instead came up. The fact that you can squeeze in exercise in addition to avoiding traffic really appeals to me.

^since we are going to have a baby, we are also trying to practice eco-friendly living/ reducing our carbon footprint in taking care of our baby by doing the following:

1. We bought a second hand Graco pack and play so that we will be reusing something that would have been thrown by the previous owner.

2. We will be using cloth diapers. Di rin magpapa ka adik. Just enough para di mahirap magrotate ng stash. Target stash number= more or 30 cloth diapers

3. We will refrain from ordering baby stuff from abroad.

Malakas ito makadagdag carbon footprint. Di pa practical kasi marami naman baby items dito.

4. We will refrain from buying too much baby gear, toys and other baby nice-to-haves na hindi naman essential sa growth, health at learning ng baby.
