Ive been living in SG for 4 years and currently PR.. to know more about SG go to pinoysg.com... forum sya mga sis lahat ng happening sa SG, like looking for work, bakasyon at kung ano ano pa.. very informative ito site na ito mga sis..  Currently the economy is picking up na naman.. kaso medyo strict lang sila sa foreigners kasi mdami issue ang mga locals here na ang good positions was given sa mga foreigners... you can try jobstreet.com.sg, monster.com and jobcentral.sg for job hunting =)

hi fellow GT sisters!

I'm also here in SG now, hoping to land a job. arrived last Sept. 21 and so far, I had 5 interviews. i'm praying and hoping na may isa sa kanila na makapasa ako. please pray for me mga sis :-) It's my 10th day and yes, nakakangarag maghanap ng work, especially ang normal time frame ata sa kanila is 2 weeks which is matagal especially for us na naka SVP lang. i'm praying na wag naman sana na umabot ako ng pageextend kasi yung budget and everything. minsan panghihinaan ka talaga ng loob pero kailangan ka talagang kumapit kay Lord kasi siya lang makakaramay mo ngayon especially magisa ka sa isang foreign country. kahit san ako magpunta, kahit anong gingawa ko, wala ako bukambibig kundi, "Lord sana magkawork na ko." kasi malakas feeling ko, eto plan niya sakin eh. kasi all through out ng pagpplans ko pa lang na pumunta SG hanggang sa flight ko, walang naging problema. tuloy tuloy lang ako sa IO.  so mga sis, na nasa SG ngayon at nagjojob hunt din, kaya natin ito! :-)

been reading posts here and i am just hopeful and happy to know there are Gtalkers providing assistance to nfellow GTs . . .

I am also planning to work in SG . . . i would like to ask if any of you sis, have heard of my profession, or is there as position in the company you are working, im a safety professional . . have browsed some job portals and found quite a number of openings . . . some requires a PR , some does not indicate . . .

Would like to try our luck in SG . . .now im completing my CV and ready to submit online. . ..

i just dont know the probability of getting a job while im here in the philippines . .

Hi mga SG mommies .. tagal ko nang hindi nagpost dito i wanted to ask if anybody has tried filing for the DSWD Travel Clearance? Can i file it through Embassy of the Phil here in sg? or i really need to go there then my Mom and Kid (my mom is the guardian) still needs to go the DSWD Office in Manila. i searched sa net kaso walang malinaw na steps especially if there are parents abroad.. mayroon ding requirements of a written consent. are there forms/guidelines or format for this? and do i need to authenticate the written consent? sorry madami tanung..  TIA!

sis,if your kid is travelling with your mom then YES kailangan mo talaga mag clearance sa DSWD.ask ko lang din, for good na ba sila mag-stay or visit lang? It can't be done thru the Embassy, dapat dun talaga sa Office.Ang forms nandun na rin, wala rin yata silang website..try mo pa rin di ko sure yan masyado.Para di na mag clearance, ikaw na mag accompany sa anak mo papasok ng SG para di ka na mag clearance if you can..pm me if you wanna talk about it over the phone.HTH

Hi girls! One month na ko dito sa SG. I think I'm finally settling in na. Meron pa ring times na bigla na lang akong nae-emo at bigla akong magmumuni-muni na "bakit ko nga ba ginawa 'to???" (haha), but nonetheless, I think I'll be OK. Hehe.

Na-culture shock ako sa office. Hindi nagpapansinan ang mga tao. Plus yung ibang Singaporean ang susungit. Nung una naglalambing pa ako, pero ngayon kebs na. Haha! Deadma na lang.

Pero natutuwa ako sa bilis ng oras. Lumilipas lang ang oras sa dami ng trabaho, and before I know it, weekend na ulit. Nag-first sweldo na ako kanina, pero sana mag-sale na sa Zara kasi ang dami kong gusto!! Haha

not all sis. yung roomie ko from dubai na tinulungan ko makapunta dito, nag walk in cya sa fairmont, as in first walk in nya after 5 days of being here, lo and behold, tanggap ang lola mo. naswertehan ata ng buntis

san ka nakahanap ng place? naku, different talaga office setting dito. si hubby he's lucky with his bosses, mababait naman. ang downside lang talaga na nakikita ko is the smell (most of his bosses are indians), but then sanay na daw cya. besides hindi naman ako ang nagtratrabaho dun so deadma nalang

that's a neverending issue with the locals naman dito. with the election coming up soon, kailangan magpabango ng gov't sa mga locals kaya ayan higpit higpitan sila. let's see what;s going to happen after the elections. kasi i don't think kaya nilang maghigpit sa pagtanggap ng foreign talents here as they have a target of atleast 3% increase (3% ata) on the country's population, mas mataas pa ang rate ng umaalis and namamatay nowadays.

advise ko lang sa mga balak pumunta dito, if your job is not related to hotel industry, f&b or IT, magisip isip kayo ng maigi bago kayo mag risk na pumunta dito. this is not a good time to go as the ministry of manpower is really on a power trip when it comes to releasing work pass to foreigners. sad to say. antay antayin nyo siguro after elections, things might get better. even sa pagissue ng PR dito higpitan galore na rin. if your salary bracket is not on P1 level chances are baka madeny lang PR application. they're really screening the PR applications thoroughly and income ang numero unong tinitignan nila. it's not like before na halos pamigay lang nila ang PR and citizenship. It's a totally different story now.

me na dmy bf are planning to go to sg mga early next year, plan sana namin pumunta dyan to look for a job.gaya nung iba sis natin dito, i want to ask kung pupunta kmi dyan to look for a job, mga how much kaya dapat namin gastusin or budget? and do you think 1 month po is enough for us to find a job there in sg? naisip lang kasi namin na baka kung thru agency naman kami mag-apply baka mas hassle kasi dami pa need bayaran.

both of us (me and my bf) came from call center industry. gusto naman sana namin i-try ang luck namin dyan sa sg. hope you can give us an advice mga sis.

what is PR nga pala? sorry ha? wala talaga akong alam sa mga ganyan.madalas ko lang makita yung PR sa mga job search.. sana you can help me.

with your job background, you can opt to apply from there na sis. start mo na magpasa ngayon. i have a friend na call ctr rin background nya and she's been here for a year na. when i used to work in ortigas meron ako nakikita mga job postings, sa may strata100 ko ata nakita dati nakapost yun.

you can start by signing up at job search engines like monster and jobsdb. yung sa monster tumatawag talaga nung kasagsagan ng paghahanap ko ng work i got 2 calls from an employer who told me na they sw my CV posted at monster. HTH

hello mga sis.. na approve pass ko less than an hour lang.. on monday ill be back on sg kasi I need medical test pa.. and kaya ako bumalik kasi I need to resign sa company ko dito..

Advice lang sa nagpaplano pumunta for job hunting.. kelangan talaga ready ka emotionally, spiritually most especially financially.. ako I got a job while on vacation lang within two weeks.. swertihan lang talaga eh..

actually yung F&B nga parang yung iba mas maliit pang spass yung salary eh..

Found a place around the Paya Lebar area. Housemates ko old officemates ko from Pinas. Hehe. If it weren't for the absence of my family and boyfriend, I wouldn't feel homesick naman sa dami ng Pinoy dito. Every other person na makasalubong mo e nagta-Tagalog.

bakit nga ba halos lahat ng tao sa SG naka-iphone? yan din sabi ng friend ko. ayaw ng blackberry?  ayun naka-iphone na din siya. although, my other friends are saying na better daw iphone compared sa BB. masyado daw complicated BB. Makabili nga ng Android
