thanks po sa info. isasama ko kasi pamangkin ko if God wills this coming December. matagal ko na kasing promise na isama sya. at dahil kailangan ko na talaga ng kasama pabalik ng Pinas after the holidays, isasama ko na talaga sya. hindi ko na carry kung may toddler na ako eh may big boy pang karag-karag plus the baggages, hand carry bags at stroller.

hi mga sis! i'm a gtalk reader eversince. its my first time to post here. just want to seek advice from all of u guys who live in sg. im planning to go to sg before the year ends para mag apply ng trabaho. im an executive asst/secretary by profession. medyo worried lang ako kung tutuloy ba ako na pumunta jan because of the news spreading na mahigpit daw ang mga IO sa airport lalo na if you travel alone. totoo ba eto mga sis? balak ko pa naman mag job hunt kahit 1 week lang. di ba mahirap kumuha ng trabaho jan kapag office admin ang trabaho? i've been sending a lot of online applications for months now. hoping to find a job thru that way. i've been to sg last 2008 & 2009, pero mostly gala lang ginawa ko sa tingin nyo mga sis, ok lang ba na pumunta ngayon jan? would appreciate your reply. tia!

@Kate_C: Hi sis! Im not sure pero swertehan lang din eh. Usually sa airport pagnakapila sa Immigration. Ayun may mga umiikot ng IO tapos titingnan nila Passport mo. I can't really say kung ano tinitingnan nila, pero pansin ko kung ilan beses ka na pabalik baliksa Singapore and other countries na napuntahan mo. Pero depende minsan hindi naman. IT super dali hanap ng work pero Admin di ako sure. Good luck sis sa job hunting! Check din if ever may mahanap ako update kita.

^^ hi sis! I tried to look for the same position (exec ass/ sec) before. lagi akong di pumapasa dahil sa 2 qualifications:

1. am not PR
2. i dont know how to speak/ read Chinese

yun kasi ang 2 pinaka important sa kanila. sayang talaga kasi okay ang sweldo. pero try mo na rin baka masuwertehan ka sis. minsan kasi swerte swerte din. basta when you apply don't close your doors to other job positions para marami kang choices

comment pa uli ako mamaya nasa work na ako hehe

sis polaris, i guess isa sa mga dahilan kaya naghihigpit ang IO ngayon dahil dun sa incident last year na involved ang pinay. kakalungkot nga lang kasi kahit ang intention lang naman ng iba is to find a work there, pero dami naaapektuhan dahil sa nangyaring yun.

@ sis tonette, tama ka! almost all the job posting sa mga job portal ganun ang hinahanap. kahit na nga yung job details that they are posting eh talagang ginagawa mo naman at master na master mo na. wala ka talaga laban kapag nakalagay only singaporeans/pr may apply.. pero kahit ganun nakalagay, apply pa din ako hehe... malay mo di ba, mapansin nila ko.. kahit mga entry level position inaaplayan ko na sis, just to find a job in sg. super love ko kasi talaga mag work sa sg i don't know why, pero i fell in love talaga sa place...

Sa mga job hunters like me, let us not loose hope. just pray and pray to God. that's the only thing we can do aside from making an effort thru online applications.

Sa mga sis naman na nasa sg na, thank u so much for helping job hunters, the insights and advice help us a lot.

isang uk-based bank ang napipintong magbawas na naman for the nth time ng work force. this time 50% ang aalisin... ang galing nilang tumiyempo... kung kelang magpapasko tsaka nilang naisipang mag-bawas ng mga tao. may isang boss nga daw na nagsabi dun sa isang plain worker na, kapag may nag-offer daw na iba dun sa kanya, igrab na daw kaagad. timing na timing din dahil ilang buwan na lang ay bigayan na ng bonus... tsk... tsk... tsk... nakakalungkot para sa mga pinoy.

haps, truelili sabi ng magpagkakatiwalaang source. ang sigurado ako mga IT people affected talaga kasi nga magtatayo ng bagong center sa ukraine na siyang maghahandle ng London at US transactions. kaya wala na daw night shift na umaabot ng kinabukasan pero hanggang 24:00 na lang ang work Monday to Sunday.

hi mga sis.. im always checking out this thread pero ngayon lang talaga ako napilitan mag-post.

me na dmy bf are planning to go to sg mga early next year, plan sana namin pumunta dyan to look for a job.gaya nung iba sis natin dito, i want to ask kung pupunta kmi dyan to look for a job, mga how much kaya dapat namin gastusin or budget? and do you think 1 month po is enough for us to find a job there in sg? naisip lang kasi namin na baka kung thru agency naman kami mag-apply baka mas hassle kasi dami pa need bayaran.

both of us (me and my bf) came from call center industry. gusto naman sana namin i-try ang luck namin dyan sa sg. hope you can give us an advice mga sis.

what is PR nga pala? sorry ha? wala talaga akong alam sa mga ganyan.madalas ko lang makita yung PR sa mga job search.. sana you can help me.

@ms_teryosa, nasubukan nyo na bang mag-apply online? mostly kasi online na ang job postings and application. kung walk-in man, it's more of submitting lang of your resume and application letter. kaya mas maganda pa din na thru online ka na lang mag-apply. hindi pa kayo gagastos ng malaki at the same time, hindi mo kailangang mag-resign kaagad habang wala pang trabaho na naghihintay sa inyo doon. i am assuming na may trabaho pa din kayo dito sa pinas.
