thanks for the tip, i checked their website and it looks promising ... they mention piagetian and montessori methods... na-curious ako about "individualized approach" that they describe  -- ginagawa talaga nila to with each pupil?

^thanks Kitchen Goddess. I haven't been to Waldorf yet, but will definitely drop by this week. With regards to tuition fee, it's almost the same with Raya School (65k inclusive of workbooks and uniforms). I also inquired from HSS and STC. With HSS, they suggested that I bring the child already when I submit the requirements so that she can take the exam na.  STC pala doesn't have Prep level. From Kinder 2, the child goes to Grade 1 already.

Hi sis. If you're interested in Waldorf, why not try Manila Waldorf School. Yes, it's a bit far but school buses are available. Moreover, we have a very nice campus. I can't think of a school that has a nicer and more conducive atmosphere.

I'm a believer of the Waldorf method, so it's good to know that you are interested with it. This is my son's second year with the school and I've seen lots of improvements.

Anyone who can give feedback about Montessori de San Juan and Pail & Shovel in Q.C? I'm looking for a gradeschool with progressive or Montessori approach but not so expensive tuition fees near Sta.Mesa, Manila. Keys and OB Montessori are out of my list coz their TFs are 100k.

Sorry Kung out of the topic pero want to ask sana ano ba usually ang mga questions sa entrance exams for grade school specifically grade 1? Written & oral.

Pinapasulat ng name, dictate the numbers 1-10, dictate the alphabet. Ano ba pa mga sissies, yung mga nakatapos ng makaexperience like this please share.

^sis foxy_lei, yung daughter ko incoming Prep sa HSS, annual tuition + basic fees + books + school supplies almost 40k. Perhaps yung Grade 1 konti lang ang taas. Nung nag inquire ako through phone, inalam ko lang ang requirements. Then nung nag submit ako, kasama na yung daughter ko para exam na agad. Antay lang sandali, nalaman din ang results. Puwede ka na din mag pay ng reservation fee on the spot.

^^prettygirlsophia, dagdag mo na din ang reading, language at mathematics dyan. Kung ano activities ng kids nung kinder/prep, yun din ang klase ng entrance exam. Maraming mga school and home workbooks binebenta sa NBS, puwede ka makakuha ng ideas dun.

sis prettygirlsophia yung daughter ko incoming grade 1 na rin, sa assesment test nila meron reading comprehension, number familiarity (1-100) basic add sub multiplication and division.

di pa ako nakakapunta in any schools, feedback palang dito ang basis ko.. ito kasi ang malalapit sa amin. all girls ba lahat?

gusto ko kasi siya ilipat from her kinder school which is starland international. di ko na gusto dun magcontinue, and liit ng school, lumang bahay lang. walang recreation area. di sila nag-aarts nung kinder. ang gulo kapag may program.

sana ready na daughter ko to big campus..

sis ako nagsesearch lang ako ng mga worksheet na printables especially sa math araw araw yun kasi sa school nila di pinauuwi mga books so pagdating nya sa bahay relax lang sya naisip ko hanapan ko na lang sya ng magagawa sa house, so far mabilis na sya magsagot ng mga worksheet.

Kakainggit ang schools sa QC na namemention, may kalidad pero reasonable ang TF.

Yun holy spirit ba sa mendiola may GS at HS? Nasa 40k level din kaya TF dun?

Mas mura talaga generally ang tuition ng schools in QC.  Nagugulat nga ako sa TF ng schools sa South, Fort, Makati.
