Your Ideal Gym
« on: August 23, 2010, 01:06:28 pm »
For you girls (and guys), what would your ideal gym be like? Yung tipong gaganahan ka magworkout, and won't view going to the gym as a chore. ;)

I'll start:

- near home/work
- lots of power racks, barbells, and plates
- toys for supplementary work like dumbbells, kettlebells, rings, chains, bands, etc.
- super clean workout area, locker rooms and shower stalls
- friendly trainers
- "maaliwalas" yung lighting and interior
- really good ventilation :P especially when there are a lot of sweaty people working out hehe
- nutrition guidance
- and of course, results.

I'm easy to please. :D What are yours?

- Cleanliness of locker room and bathrooms.

- Type of people na pumupunta sa gym. Grrr. And makakalat, lalo na mga undies. Eww.

- Cleanliness of the 'work area' itself, dapat laging available ang pang-spray, at pinapalitan yung rags.

- Matutulungin na mga trainers. Dapat kahit hindi mo PT, available sila, and WILLING to answer your questions about routines and how to use machines.

- Ayoko ng mga pacute na trainers. Ayoko rin ng masyadong gwapo. Hahahaha!!!!! ;D Nakakadistract e.

- Lots of group exercise schedule na swak sa mga employees, the gym i go to, meron mga schedule pero karamihan mid-morning.

But usually, mataas yung rate pag medyo high-end yung gym. At Eclipse, it's P500. Afaik, sa Fitness First, it's P750. Ask around nalang. :)

^OO! as in kadiri talaga.

Nyahaha.

^^Hindi sulit ang per session sis. Mahal yun masyado.

EIW! Bakit naman sila ganun? Wala ba silang mga locker rooms? Ang babab0y!

As for me:
-malapit sa bahay
-hindi crowded, konti lang ang tao
-kagaya ni sis angeleigh, type of people - ayoko rin ng maiingay sa shower room and sa sauna, naiirita ako sa ganun, promise
-malinis
-well-lighted
-with friendly staff and trainer (staff na lagi ka igreegreet and nakasmile at nakaalalay sa iyo agad if you need anything)
-may swimming pool (since i also swim as part of my cardio)

- very good location (layo kasi ng gym ko sa megamall pa)
- complete gym equipments/facilities and accessories
- lounge/waiting area
- bigger space of vanity room or locker room (includes sauna, shower room)
- spa
- good and approachable trainers
- good instructors (yoga/pilates/aero)

Ew! Napalabas tuloy ako ng hindi oras.

for me an ideal gym should have

2. Modern weight lifting equipment- Both Free Weights and machines.
4. Bawal kwentuhan. Pansin ko sa gyms sa pinas, its more socializing than exercising.
5. 2 or more exercise machines para maminimize ang pilahan. may max amount of time per machines.
6. towels and spray bottles para punasan yung hinigaan/inupuuan sa equipment after use.

eto lang naisip ko as of typing this.

magandang business idea yan. problem is, since there are big players in the industry, they will soon imitate your idea and turn things around.

^true. i've been wanting to put up an all-girls fat loss gym for some time now. malaki lang kasi yung capital na kailangan if you want to be competitive. eclipse has an area na exclusively for women lang talaga, but i don't know how big a factor it is in persuading girls to enroll.
