First time ko mag book ng hotel thru agoda.com. I booked Marco Polo for our Hongkong trip (meron din Marco Polo sa Davao). Hindi ko napansin yung icon specifying na 1 adult. Meron pala yung isa na 2 adults. Magbabayad na lang ako ng extra for the plus 1 adult. Kaya pala akala ko mura na ang nabook ko. For 1 adult lang pala yun. Buti na lang free pa ang son ko.

Re: Hotels in the Philippines, hindi hotels ang binoo-book namin kapag umuuwi kami sa pinas. Most of the time ay condotel like BSA Tower across Greenbelt, Greenbelt Park Place, and Greenbelt Radissons. Recently, last June, we booked sa New World Hotel. Gustong gusto ko kasi sa greenbelt area para hindi na ako magtataxi pa since Makati malls lang naman ang gustong gusto kong libutin.

Next time I'll try booking from groupon or dealgrocer.

During my Manila trip with hubby, we stayed at Orchid Garden Suites. Maganda naman and the staff were friendly.

In Cebu, hubby and I have stayed overnight at:

Imperial Palace (it was newly opened at that time so the interiors were clean and halls smelt of new paint. Staff greets you at every encounter).
Shangri-la Mactan (service was good but their toilets look kinda need renovation.)
Maribago Bluewaters (nice rin pero I had a bad experience with their staff. They were more friendly towards foreign tourists. Mas inuna nila i-entertain when we were about to check-out, i think the foreign tourists were about to check-in knowing we were the first in the counter. There i left a note that said 'Your staff sucks.')

Next staycation would be at Crimson in Mactan, Cebu.

For hotel bookings overseas, I like Hotels.com because I get to book hotels at reduced prices.

Our stay in Shangri-la Mactan is one of the best experience. Staff are wonderful and facilities are great.
My first reaction was that its pricey, pero worth it nman pala.
I'll recommend this if may budget and you have children... very child friendly place.
We might even go back to celebrate my son's birthday. Still torn bet having a party or stay there for 2 nights.

^ you're right sis.  A relaxing vacation at Shanrila-la Mactan is heavenly.  They have the best of both worlds.  Pool and White beach.   Kung hindi lang sana mahal, sarap talaga balik-balikan.   

I really wanna try Imperial Palace because of their waterslides.

very nice nga sa shang mactan, been there for a biz trip. too bad, hindi ko man lang natry ang pool at beach! bummer talaga. will go back for leisure na lang

We actually visited Imperial, Plantation Bay and Shnag but we just feel more at home sa Shang.
My son is 3 pa lang nman so he can do limited stuff pa rin, so the Shang fits him well.
But I was surprised na he liked Jetski, parang ako pa natakot for him.

pwede bang walk in lang? plano namin ni bf mag stay ng 1 night lang for our 10 year anniversary, pero not sure kung aling hotel, okay na sa amin 3-4 stars. kasi after mag shopping mag stay na lang kami muna sa hotel. kasi from province pa kami.

^sis, you can always send an email to the hotel of your choice and ask for an airline discount. Usually hotels extend travel industry discounts sa mga staff. Use your hubby's staff ID.
