august 4 flight ko to viet. nakakainis yung cebu pac kasi fix yung departure time nya everyday.

ng try ako mag book sa cebupac plus hotel sa travel agency pag dating ko dun aug.5 na ng madaling araw pero ang counting pa din ng 3days 2nights stay ko sa hotel eh start ng 4 ano un? lokohan? halos wala ko pa 2days magmit yung accomodations ko tapos 8,000pesos pa singil saken.

super tagal ko naghintay sa agency! sabi nila pwede ko magbigay ng list ng hotel n gusto ko tapos wala din naman pala!

ang ginawa ko ng book nlng ako sa pAL 7am dating ko dun.. cancel ko na booking ko at ako nalang nag book ng sarili ko hotel online! solo lang ako so sayang talaga yung hotel.

Hello everyone! I had a wonderful time in Cambodia last July and I highly recommend our tour provider Amazing Angkor Tours http://amazingangkortour.com/. Narin, our guide was good.

The temples were breath-taking but the walks were tiring! Buti na lang naka-aircon na van kami and we always had a stock of cold towels and water in the van.

Food in Cambodia is similar to Pinoy food...mas malasa lang ang sa atin..i think.

I can't wait to read about your experiences too (and blog about mine..long overdue).

Will be off to BKK airport to fly back home in a couple of minutes. I had a blast doing this trip. Sharing our whole itinerary for Vietnam-Cambodia-Thailand. Details to be posted in other threads.

Day 0 - depart MNL, midnight flight via 5J. Bought during Jan 2012 piso fare
Day 1 - Check in hotel. Sleep. Rest.  Late morning, start DIY HCMC tour. Overnight HCMC.
Day 2 - bus going to Mui Ne. Sand Dunes tour. Overnight in Mui Ne.
Day 3 - bus going back to HCMC. Rest. Wander around. Shopped in HCMC at night. Overnight HCMC.
Day 4 - Cu Chu and Cao Dai tour. Overnight HCMC.
Day 5 - travel to PP Cambodia. Tour Killing Fields and Genocide Museum. Overnight PP.
Day 6 - travel to SR Cambodia. Lake tour (not the boat tour though). Apsara show. Overnight SR.
Day 7 - Angkor W@t near temples. Overnight SR.
Day 8 - Angkor W@t far temples. Overnight SR.
Day 9 - bus travel to BKK. Arrive BKK late at night. Explored Silom area. Overnight BKK.
Day 10 - Start late morning. Chaktutak Weekend Market. Bankok markets win vs. me. Overnight BKK.
Day 11 - Grand Palace Tour DIY. Overnight BKK.
Day 12 - Ayutthaya DIY Tour. Overnight BKK.
Day 13 - Final shopping day. Ubusan ng pera day. Midnight flight back to MNL via 5J. Bought BKK-MNL during the 11/11/11 sale (Yes, nung 2011 pa yung ticket)
Day X - back to reality

Next year pa ang punta namin sa Vietnam-Cambodia. Siguro 1 day lang kami makakapag libot sa Vietnam. Siguro nga I won't even have time to visit my Project Managers in HCMC. waaah! Cambodia talaga ang gusto namin puntahan.

just got back from Vietnam - Cambodia trip.

re: currencies : sa airport kami nakapagpapalit ng USD to Dong. then for Cambodia- small USD notes and nakakuha lang kami ng Rial thru change sa amin,they prefer USD rin.

6 days kami - medyo tiring kasi lagi kami travel pero worthit rin kasi nakakapagpahinga kami every night sa mga hotels

1. Cu Chi
2. HCMC to PP
3. PP to SR
4. Angkor Temples
5. SR to PP
6. PP to HCMC

295 usd lang ang nagastos namin, including hotels, pasalubong, food, wine and cheese. we were group of 6.

hi sis, we will have our vietnam-cambodia trip this coming jan. 11 days kami dun. 2 nights lang for SR and the rest hcmc na. arriving jan 12, around 1230am. wala pa kaming hotel. san sa district 1 okay mag stay? ang sr namin is on jan16-18. sa may tsp lucky angkor kami stay. any feedback on this hotel? sa hcmc namin nag hahanap pa rin ako... okay ba ang khai hoan? any feedback? thanks in advance.

Hindi lokohan yun.  In Vietnam (and everywhere, really), it's typical hotel policy you can only check in at around 2 pm, ....so if you arrive and actually get assigned in a room before that time, that counts as an extra day.

Hello mga sis! I'm going for a trip in about 4 months in Vietnam and Cambodia and I just found out recently that for a US passport holder, I still need to obtain a visa prior to my scheduled arrival. Does anyone had the same experience? what is the most convenient way to get a visa? Should I apply it here while Im the US or just wait til my arrival in the Philippines and get it over there? Thank you in advance.
