My flight will be on May 15 via cebu pacific. So I'll arrive on Vietnam by midnight. Then uwi ako sa 22 from Siam Reap. Kaya pa kaya mag side trip sa laos?

here's our iti:
Day 1 arrived at 1 AM in Saigon - rest sa hotel, 8AM - visited Notre Dame, Reunification, Post Office, Saigon Square, Opera House, luch at Pho 24 in Ben Thanh Market.
3pm - went back to hotel to refresh ->Puppet show, Ben Thanh Nigh market

day2 - Trip to PP, arrived in the afternoon.
        - Butterfly cruise for 1 hour (highly recommended)
        - walked sa Quay
        - dinner and tried Cambodia Cuisine
        - Night Market
        - swimming sa pool

Day 3 - Morning to S21, Royal Paace (must see), Russian market (where you can buy Kipling, just ask them kung ano yung inexport nila kasi meron sila Cambodian made much cheaper)
2PM - back to PP

Day 4 - Cu chi tunnel
         - lunch at 2000
         - Vincom Centre
         - Grocery dahil super cheap doon, bought lots of facial mask, 19 pesos lang!
         - tambay sa Highlands coffee (try their coffee cheescake, super cheap din ng food doon)
        - 10pm - back to airport

Overall, we had a good trip. we enjoyed Cu chi tunnel, yung tour guid is [textspeak!]-Viet nakaexperience ng war so he shared his experience during the war. what I don't like in Saigon was a dishonest tuktok driver who overpriced sa fare namin so better take a cab na lang. And  yung mga tindera sa night market na namimilit talaga bumili as in hahawakan ka sa braso para pigilan umalis.

Sa PP, sobrang doon kami nagenjoy. Yun talaga ang pang tourist na makakarelax ka. People are very friendly and can speak English, they are polite and won't take advantage of you. Royal Palace is amazing! Cheap food. Will definitely go back there. sayang nga one day lang kami don.

never kaming nagtuktok sa vietnam...nag-cab lang at naglakad around saigon...cheap talaga ang food sa vietnam and sa cambodia, masarap pa...:-)

Day 3 May 18: HCMC to Siem Reap
                      6PM arrive in SR ( what do to at night?)

-- Night market.  You can hire a tuktuk to take you there.

Day 5 May 20: SR to Bangkok (3 hours lang yata byahe papunta dun?? not sure though)

-- when we did this, 3 hrs eh yun time spent pa lang namin sa border crossing =D It took us 12 hours overall.  3 hrs (or 2? can't remember) from SR to Poipet - Aranyaprathet border.  Medyo matagal sa immigration ng Bangkok sa dami ng tourists, ewan lang baka kasa Sunday nun nandun kami.  Then 8 hrs van to Khao San, Bangkok.

Day 7 May 22: Back to SR
                      7PM Back to Manila

why you have to go back to SR sis soloist? from bangkok, direct ka na to manila...medyo mahirap yung gagawin mo na babalik ka pa ng SR, para habulin yung flight mo punta ng manila...

^oo nga eh.. kasi yun na yung nabook ko sa cebu pac. di ko naisip before na pwede pa pala ko pumuntang bangkok until nung nagback read ako at pwede pala bus going to bankok from SR.

^ nun trip namin, 8am kami umalis ng SR, 6-7pm na kami nakarating ng bangkok. From SR to  Aranyaprathet border lang yan 3hrs. Mas malayo pa Bangkok plus pila pa sa immigration.

1 day each lang kami sa vietnam and cambodia. Where po kayo okay magstay sa ho chi minh and cambodia? accessible sana para less transpo expenses/

^I will be staying in LuanVu in HCMC, Fancy GH in Phnom Penh and Bousavy in Siem Reap next month... Sana ok naman, good naman ang feedback ng ibang mga sisses dito.

^^In HCM, we stayed at the Hong Han hotel. Really nice, would recommend it. In Cambodia, in Phnom Penh, we stayed at the Billabong Hotel. Thumbs up!! In Siem Reap, Angkor Pearl. Thumbs up din. I recommended those exact same hotels to a friend going to Vietnam-Cambodia and she was really happy din with those choices. Have fun!

mga sis is it safe to stay at the backpackers' area? di ba maraming snatchers dun? or is it better to stay at the city? thanks!

I found Saigon to be a safe place for a tourists.  I even roamed parts of the city outside of the backpackers district at night alone.

Then again I'm a guy, I'm 200 pounds, and I'm taller than the average Vietnamese.  I guess that's a deterrent. 

What I would suggest is to always travel in groups and don't dangle your bags, purses, gadgets in such a way that they can easily be snatched.

^May alam po kayo na malapit na guesthouse/hostel sa ho chi minh sa bus station (mekong express bus)? gusto ko sana dun nalang sa malapit since the next day alis naman agad kami.
