i would like to ask about naman sa customs, i dont know if this is the proper thread but anyways,

i will be going to abroad on a business and pleasure trip..business kase mamimili ako paninda, now my question is, i would be like going home with a 30kg box full of 1 KIND OF ITEM lang, masisita ba ako? or do i need to declare something? food naman laman nung box and its bulky.

now lang ako napaisip about this.

Alam ko anything na marami, maghihinala na sila.  Kasi why buy almost 30 kilos of same product unless ibebenta.  Anything na hindi pang personal consumption ay dapat ideclare.  Kung hindi magdedeclare, ipray na di makikita sa xray yung laman ng maleta.

^ oo sis kapag same items at obvious na ibebenta sinisita nila.dati may dala akong bags 10 pcs pinagbabayad ako ng tax. ang friend ko nga belts lang mga 4 pcs lang yata sinita na e. mas okay kung halo halo ang laman ng box at iba ibang items para less chances masita.

Depends, kasi may mga nagdadala ng damit en-masse from Thailand or bags en-masse from Vietnam pero di naman nasisita kahit lantaran nilang dinadala. Sinasabi lang nila sa customs officer na pasalubong daw nila yun. =/

And if i may add, mas madali magpuslit pag damit, compared sa single food item in huge quantity and medyo bulky pa.

^Sis, payo ko lang.  Basta anything na lalagpas sa bilang ng personal consumption, kung sa airport makukwestyon kayo pag nahuli.  Pag balik bayan box naman, pwedeng hindi sya madoor to door at ipapick up sa inyo sa customs office para sa tariff na babayaran nyo.

Dahil kahit door to door sha at makita ang laman, talagang you have to pay the customs duties.  Pero kung hindi nila makita, no problem.

Mga sis eh ano mangyayari kapag na offload ang isang passenger may chance pabana iparebook niya ang ticket niya at mag try ulit pumila sa immigration pagkatapos ng isa, dalawang araw o higit pa...?

 completo naman ang documents and totoo naman ang sinasabi nung pasahero na magttraining lang siya dun at babalik after 2 week

^ You might want to contact the airlines for that. Like Miss Mod said in the other thread, he/she have to have the proof from the Immigration na na-offload sya.

Meron kasi akong kasabay from Vietnam, they only seem to be tourists and isang family sila. Andami nilang dinala na North Face bags... Nung nasa Customs na sila, sinabi na pasalubong lang daw yun. Pinalampas na sila. I asked them and sabi nung tatay when we got out, buy-and-sell pala yung ginagawa nila for the TNF bags, then according to him "yun ang technique pag dumadaan sila through customs". I think he's only bluffing though. :O

^Customs officers are not stupid. Sa tinagal-tagal nila sa trabaho nilang yan, hindi mo sila maiisahan. Ikaw pa ang iisahan nila.    Seriously though, ang mga regular byaheras meron nang mga contact yan sa customs. To the unknowing passengers akala mo pinalusot sila but in reality bayad na yung goods nila. As to the correct taxes paid or whether pumunta sa tamang bulsa, well............

And yes, yung nakasabay mong pasahero was definitely bluffing. Syempre hindi naman nya sasabihin na meron ng "arrangement" yung pinasok nyang goods. Or baka naman meron syang inipit sa passport and customs dec nila. That's another well-known technique na ginagamit din sa customs kung ayaw mong ma-hassle pa. Of course malas lang kung natapat ka sa customs na honest (if there is ever such a thing)

^ Ohhhh. So that's why some can still sell TNF bags from Vietnam na di naman masyadong malaki ang tubo. Oh well, we're in the Philippines. :O

Nga pala, just recently I brought 6 boxes of JCo donuts from Jakarta. Tinitigan na lang ako ng customs officer and she said, "Mmm. JCo donuts. Ang sarap naman nyan..." Gusto kong bigyan ng isa kaso baka makita nila as bribery yun. I was sweating profusely kasi baka di ako patuluyin, but I guess it's just me being paranoid dahil akala ko papatawan rin nila yun ng tax. I was also able to get some anthurium seeds and was able to pass thru customs, I was afraid na baka harangin ako for quarantine. Pero my manager told me na wag ko daw alalahanin yun. Kaya to be honest, I do not know where I should begin declaring; your inputs are really of a great help. XD

^I think for the NF bags.  Since marami sila, for instance a group of 5.  They can buy halos 2 each or 3 each I guess and present those as pasalubong.  Lalo na kung hiwa hiwalay nilang nilagay sa luggage at lumabas ng customs hiwa hiwalay.  Ang maquestion siguro is a large number of articles in a single maleta.

Kapag ang oversees foreign worker nag-uwi ng bagong appliance subject talaga sa customs tax? Ang nakita ko lang kasi sa website ng customs dapat used na siya. Baka lang may nakapag-uwi na dito ng brand new. Pa-clarify po. Thanks!

^^ I remember last year nag-uwi ako ng TV 32 inches hindi daw taxable kasi less than 40 inches daw.sabi din sakin allowed ata ang OFW ng 1 electronic na gamit. lagyan na lang ng pulbos para mukhang used na hehe

about removing of shoes:  they're not the same, minsan pinapatangal kahit sandals lang with straps, minsan naman sneakers na di naman pinatangal. sometimes naman flight from manila di pinatangal, flight to manila pinatangal naman eh 5 days lang difference nun flight. ang gulo.  but i think depende sa terminal.

but nakakainis na part, yun iba airport employee namimili ng sisitahin.

last year we were going to palawan, yun tita ko nasa harapan lang namin siya ha, di sinita. diretso lang. kami ng sis ko pinabalik and pinatangal yun sandals with straps, as in bare naman na yun feet namin since tiny straps lang yun sa sandals namen. eh pareho  naman kami halos ng style ng tita ko ng sandals. bad trip talaga. komo ba mukhang "sosyal" yun tita namen and kami naka leggings and t-shirt and jacket lang. hay sana di sila tumitingin sa porma lang ng tao kung sisitahin nila. bad trip talaga yun. but one incidence lang yun but still kaasar lang talaga.
