mga sis mejo out of the topic pero related padin naman sa twins. meron ba sa inyo maganda magbuntis? ako kasi kahit early stage palang ng pregnancy feeling ko pumanget nako:( parang nagiba skintone ko and pimples sa face. not that i am complaining naisip ko lang baka kasi double hormones acting up?

Sabi sis pag girls ang laman blooming daw, pero never ako gumanda since day 1. Ang sama na ng pakiramdam ko, kita din sa itsura ko. Got pimples too. Mas ok pa nun 1st pregnancy ko na boy, May blooming effect, ewan ko lang kung me kinalaman na singleton lang .

ako din, ang pangit magbuntis... kaya i try to add accessories sa get up ko. sabi nga ni OB last check up ko: di ba tapos na first trimester mo, bakit ang asim pa rin ng mukha mo?     (hahaha)

yung pimples/tigitig ko humupa na. pero dati from likod, braso and mukha hay parang allergies sila at makati. pero now konti na lang. dark spots ang dumami sa mukha ko at itim ng armpit ko, super iwwkkkksss....

tapos ang laki ng tiyan ko at ang tigas, good thing natatakot ang mga officemates ko na hawakan siya which is i think is good thing for us ng mga twins ko.  kaya lang pati si hubby ayaw hawakan feeling niya naiipit sila kahit konting press lang.

^Naka sked kami for next week din for a scan pero 18th week pa lang. Ewan ko ba kung praning lang OB ko or dahil they make more money. So far nakaka 4 na scans na ko including the OSCAR test. Wala naman complications thank goodness. Sana malaman na namin gender sa next scan. Natawa naman ako sa OB mo sis kayin, ang kulit!  We've started buying some small stuff na rin for the twins. Last na uwi ko pumunta kami Hello Baby sa Bel-air, karamihan pang girls so konti lang nabili namin pero it's much cheaper talaga compared to SM.

sis iceebaby salamat sa encouragement. I'm determined talaga na karirin mag breastfeed. Kahit na di exclusive, balak ko to buy breast pump tapos salitan kami ni hubby mag feed. Ok kaya Avent? Not sure if I should get a manual one or electric. Potty trained at 20 months, wow sis! Ang galing naman. 

Naku! D pala ako nag iisa! On the first few weeks before I found out I was pregnant ang sama lagi ng pakiramdam ko. Tapos hate na hate ko tumingin sa salamin kasi I felt really pangit. I remember one time iyak ako ng iyak parang awang awa ako sa sarili ko habang nakatingin sa salamin.  Super dami ko taghiyawat bigla sa face at sa likod. E d naman ako taghiyawatin. Tapos although big built ako mga 8-9 weeks pa lang mukha ng 4 months laki ng tiyan ko! Kaya I had no choice but to buy maternity clothes agad. Sobrang na depress ako when I got my first maternity/nursing bra. Napaka-unflattering. Vain much lang! hehe

^isang big check  sis Amnesia, oo nga.. ngayon naman kalbaryo ko di na kasya yung mga maternity clothes ko... 3 tops and 3 jumpsuits... gastos ulit ... wala na akong masuot sa office. gusto ko na din sana bumili ng breastpump pero nag second thought ako.. parang mas gusto ko yung electric anyway sa office may staff house naman para makapagcollect. pero wait na muna ako until manganak. anyway 75 days naman ang maternity leave.

21 weeks na kami, kinukulit ko na si OB para sa Gender Determination ultrasound ko. Next week pa sked ko, tiisin ko daw...

Nakakatawa mga experiences ng twins diba? Oo, since double hormonal changes.. double din ang pag pimples, dark kili kili, HAIR!, and double lahat lahat. haha!

In my experience, mas pangit ako nung sa singleton ko na boy. 1st ko panaman yun. As in, daming pimples hanggang likod ko. Pero, sobrang opposite sa twin girls ko. As in, mas maganda pa ata ako sa twin pregnancy ko - than ngayon. haha! true talaga! As in ang kinis ng skin ko and ang ganda ng hair ko. Meron pa din mga umiitim ang neck and underarms pero di sing lala nung sa boy.

Tingin ko nga, totoo ata na pag blooming ang mommy - girl. Pero pag boy (lalo na pag twin boys, siguro or basta may boy) is mas madaming alam niyo na. Haha!

Pero, tama nuh... it's time to be kikay mga preggy twinmoms! Malaking bagay ang accessories and for me noon for my tamad moments... basta liquid foundation, eye liner and lip gloss... carry na!

^oo nga sis... nakakatuwa nga kami nasa pregnancy stage pa lang kami what more kaya pag lumabas na sila. may time pa kaya para magsuklay?

OA na tanong lang sis, ilang kilos na gain mo until your full term... mabilis bang bumaba ang timbang mo after manganak? sabi kasi ng iba no need daw ang exercise dahil sa babies lang sunog na ang calories...

@amnesia, I suggest that you buy a double electric breast pump if you intend to breastfeed. A manual pump will do the job but it takes twice as long.  Always aim for exclusive breastfeeding.  It may be very difficult at first but it is doable.  I exclusively breastfed my twin boys for 6 months, continued mixed feeding until the 9th month and this while I was working full time from 4 months onwards.  You can do it too, baka nga much better than I have done.

My breast pump was the Avent Isis Duo, by the way.   With my double pump, I was usually able to express 4-8 oz. of milk in 20 minutes.

Agree with sis Marose. Double electric breast pump is one great investment.

I was able to pump 100% more per seating with an electric Breast pump  as compared sa manual which lumaki lang muscles ko than maka express ng milk. haha!

Sis Kayin, my pre preg weight is 120lbs then my full term weight is 190lbs (70lbs more). 8-12 weeks after I gave birth, I lost all... and got back at 120lbs. Kasama na puyat, breastfeeding, and alaga sa mga kiddos.

Kaya, lamon to the max ako during and after pregnancy. Nung 12 months na ang mga twins, hala na ang weight gain ko.

Also, take care of your stretchies. I still have the twin tummy and the tiger marks (stretch marks) till now. It's extremely ugly but, I am a proud mom to have those marks so it doesn't really matter. Okay na nakapag 2 piece ako nung pre preg stage ko. haha!

^ Ako din may twin tummy pa and lots of stretch marks.  Oh well.  Hindi naman ako bold star so si husband lang makakakita ng stretchies ko.

^ haha! Buti nga, ang masama ang twins ko - nakikita nila ang twin tummy and stretchies ko.. which they call "mimi". Our term for breastfeeding time. Mukha na atang nipples ang tiyan ko kasi. haha!

^^Yes. I'm currently based in SG. Ambilis talaga ng panahon. Your story gave me hope sis. My OB asked me if gusto ko ba daw talaga manganak in SG since both of us are not PR, mas mahal in case may complications. Pero I have faith.

^I'm using Bio Oil at the moment, di ko kasi type amoy ng Palmers Cocoa Butter feeling ko lalanggamin ako! I think stretch marks are beautiful, ika nga badge sya ng pregnancy at motherhood!

I stupidly had my belly pierced when I was younger tapos it came off, my skin rejected it so may malaking keloid sa pusod ko, ansakit pag nai-stretch. Hay! Pag CS ako for sure keloid din kalalabasan. Oh well. Sabi nga eh, what to do?

^ It depends on your pregnancy, sis.  Marami akong complications kasi - APAS and GDM are two of those - kaya napaanak ako early at 29 weeks and 2 months nasa NICU mga anak ko.  Dito pa lang yon ha pero almost P1 million ang nagastos namin for my kids' medical bills and PF ng mga doctors nila.  Pero worth it naman kasi buhay sila ngayon at healthy and happy kids sila.   God will provide.

twin mom here of 15-month old girls. sis, i suggest you get an electric double pump. the best investment i ever made for my babies. it will save you time and effort. i tried manual pero nauubos oras ko kasi dapat every 3 hrs tapos dapat enough for 2 babies! dinaanan ko rin yung ibang single electric (precious moments, pigeon--->masakit sila!) i got my double pump online ke babymama, yung cheapest nya na double last year, mga around 4k lang nun. hanggang ngayon ok sya and ipamamana ko na sa kapatid ko kasi mostly formula babies ko now na 15 months sila and sa gabi sa pagtulog na lang sila bfeeding (sobrang stressful and erratic ang working hours ko kasi [media] kaya di na maka-pump).

I also plan to BF but not because I'm an advocate but because of the tipid factor.  Practical talaga dapat lalo na dalawa agad, lahat doble gastos. Ilang diaper inabot a week ang kambal mo sis when they were newborns? I heard they need changing at least 7 times a day! Iniisip ko pa lang nawiwindang na ko! Sana merong Makro dito sa Singapore katulad dyan sa Pinas. 

sis, ako i invested sa babyland cloth diapers. magastos sya initially pero naman 15 mos na babies ko, ayos na ayos pa and magagamit pa nila to until 2 yrs old sila. i only use disposables sa gabi at pag lumalabas (which is not often). nung di pa ako bumibili ng cloth diapers, naiiyak ako sa gastos sa disposables. first month nila up to 10x a day ako nagpapalit kasi nagkarashes sila. never na sila nagkarashes nung mag-cloth ako. atsaka dahil madali silang mairita pag basang-basa na, madali silang ipotty-train. yung isang baby ko dahil di sya napalitan ng yaya nya agad, sya na mismo ang nagtanggal ng diaper nya. hehe. iniuupo ko na sila sa toilet and so far success na sa isa kong baby nung nagpoo-poop sya. mejo mahirap pa for me ang wiwi kasi working mom, di ko nasusubaybayan.

^ I do not recommend pumping soon after giving birth.  Baka mabugbog ang breasts mo.  And really, most moms I know who pumped right after giving birth were discouraged kasi droplets lang ang lumalabas kaya naisip nila kulang milk nila.  Time and again, it has been said that what you express by pumping is not an accurate indicator of your supply.

Have your babies latch as soon as they are out.  That's the best stimulation.  Read on the Unang Yakap protocol.
