^thanks marose17

I'm quite confused right now because of the things I've been reading!

Maybe I need to clear all these issues with my OB.  She has been my OB for 6 years and takes care of me very well naman.  Naisip ko kase baka ma-hurt sha pag sinabi kong, doc do i need to see another doctor/specialist? hehe.   ;D

tnx sissies... kasi naman yung secretary nya nakakawindang yung binigay na estimate kung magkano aabutin mag ready daw kami ng 400k!!! kaloka! ang expected lang namin is 200k ok na since wala naman akong health problem dahil ever since na malaman kong preggy ako from 5 weeks pa lang up to now laging every two weeks din ang check up ko with matching ultra sound pa yon, so ang impression lagi ni OB very good both for me and my twins.

100%k: sis im on my 12-13 week pa lang pero ob told me pag lumaki laki na i need to see her regularly, i think im having mono-mono twins. But since 7th week every 3 weeks check up ko.

Sunnshey: lapit mo na makita if may twins ka :) update us :)

Cheverlou: sis havent ask ob yet, kasi maaga pa e.

Mga sis, have u heard or experienced this? Kasi @ 7 th week ob said im going to have fraternal twins, 2 sac and 2 bb were found. Then medyo may brown discharge kaya bumalik ako uli, then ganun pa din result ng u/s. at around 9th week, naguluhan si ob kung nasa same sac ba un 2 bb, kasi un isa parang nasa in between nun 2 sac and she said nga alanganin un isa if nandun siya sa small sac kasi parang maliit daw yun sac. Then sa 12 week u/s ko it shows na same sac sila and 1 placenta, the other sac is still there but small pa din. Nagtataka ako paano napunta yun isang bb dun? Then may weird dream din ako nun 7th week, i gv birth daw to a bb grl, then i ask my ob whats the gender of the other twin left in my tummy, she said its a boy but its 2 identical. Then i was shock kasi triplets daw. Pero the teo identical twin remain the body ko kasi not yet time pa daw, but the fraternal twin girl lumabas na. Weird!

SIs 100%K, just answering your questions too...

1) I had the same OB with my eldest son (5 year old that time), she was one of the best, kaya I also made her my OB with my fraternal twins. Altho, not a Perinatologist but I trusted her kasi she has birthed a lot of twins.

2)I had more U/S than with my singleton. I was too sure, even if my OB doesn't require me to have an U/S. I still had 1 more extra U/S during my 13th week (I just wanted to make sure that the other twin survivied). She required only during the 1st, 22nd and 30+ weeks (for position, just to make sure if I would go for CS kasi I really wanted to have a normal delivery). You can check this link of my blog for the procedure during my 3rd trimester with twins: http://mamamiakiddos.blogspot.com/2009/12/in-home-stretch-for-my-twins-35-weeks.html

I think your OB is right to give you U/S on the 12 or 13th week as there are cases wherein it was seen that you are carrying twins during the 7th week but then some twins drop within the 13-20th week. She is just making sure. I've a book on twins, that's why I think it was ok. Tho, some OBs don't require and most do.

3) Aside from double and U/S rates (I've had 5 U/S during my entire preg), I had the usual GTT (glucose screening) but since I failed on that test. OB required a 3 hour GTT for me - which I passed naman! :) No other procedures, aside from CS and terrible back pains. :)

Sis cheverlou, My OBs PF is like 1.5 ng rate niya. But the Anaesthologist, as 1 PF rate lang. Ang double is yung Pedia and the nursery (or other procedures done for 2 babies).

If I were to compute, hindi double ang fee but 1.5x from usual delivery. My total rate is P126k ++ 2 years ago. :) No complications with me or the girls (gave birth at 38 weeks).

Di-di ang twins ko, sis. They're both girls pa at hindi talaga magkamukha. :)

I bought a twin book from amazon.com and another book about twins at powerbooks kaya it helped me with my health.

I am dissatisfied with the answers.

Kasi, kahit magaling ang OB ko... in all honesty... body ko yun and I know it much more. So, kahit nag woworry ako, sinasabi lang din naman minsan is... mag diet ako or hinay hinay with food that I eat. But, when I read books about twins (esp. this one specific book I bought)... it was the other way around. As a mutliples mom, there is no limit to your food.

Iba kasi ang singleton and multiples. I've experienced both (singleton, twins, normal and CS).  Totally different talaga sila.

With your condition, Mono-Mono... mas extra careful dapat ang OB mo with your condition. For now, don't worry muna sis. Just eat healthy and lots (really! lots and lots). Bawal ka magutom! Stay happy and less ang emotional stress.

I have no use for my twin book, if any of the twin moms here are interested... I might be selling this if may mag ka interest. It has helped me than any other book about twins talaga. Kaya I was able to go through it till 38 weeks. You can also order from Amazon, they'll deliver naman.

^iceebaby, i was just reading your blog  :)  funny, my eldest is a boy (6yo, almost the same age as ice when you got pregnant?), then my twins are girls too (just found out this weekend  ;D). Wala lang, halos parehas tayo ;D

I have pala the "when you're expecting twins..." book. as per the charts, me and my baby are gaining weight normally so medyo mahinahon ako.  I'm trying to follow the book's "eat every 2 hrs" advice para di ako magutom mashado. Normally, every 3hrs ngayon gutom nako (para daw akong sanggol sabi ni hubby ;D) pero parang mas okay to eat every 2hrs so i won't feel famished pagdating ng 3rd hour hihi.

Hope to see you here often :)

^ i eat anything i feel like eating. But since i got pregnant, i stay away from coffee, soda (except gingerale), and raw food. I have a can of peanuts in my office for snacking, and some crackers in my car in case magutom ako sa daan. As per my readings, we need a lot of protein. Wala naman akong problema dito kase i'm such a carnivore  ;D. Though may times pa din na kahit busog ako feeling ko kulang pa din kain ko for the day    :-\

Tama mga sis! Ako din, like you sis 100%K every 2 hours ang kain ko. haha! Same talaga tayo - carnivore din ako. haha!

Since, pag gutom ang twin mom... (like in my case) mas grabe ang morning sickness ko. Kaya inuunahan kona talaga.

Kaya, eat lang whatever your tummy can take. :)

Sis Rons... I lost weight pa nga e kasi wala talaga akong ma take kainin at linalabas ko lang.

Natakot ako nung nag lose na ako ng weight pero it was alright daw and at 20 weeks dapat start gaining na daw what you've lost. So, every 2 hours ang kain and madaming meat, veggies ang plate ko. Para akong laborer daw. But, it was all for the baby.

I brought Coleman sa office kasi pag sa office dispenser ako kukuha.. tatamarin akong kumuha because mabigat mag dala ng 2 babies! hahaha!

Rest Well sis! :)

Saka from no rice diet kasi ko bago magbuntis eh ngayon mega rice ako kya biglang lobo ko.

I have not been gaining weight tapos nag lose pa! All because sa sobrang morning (or all-day) morning sickness. Basta ang goal ko is 20 lbs to gain by 20 weeks!

So, don't worry if slow ang weight gain - hindi tayo singleton na worried of weight gain.

Just eat lots and DRINK LOTS! Make sure 12 glasses of water/day kayo. :)
