twin pregnancy

hi po pasali, im having twins din yesterday lang namin nalaman.  nagaalala ako kasi based on my LMP dapat 8weeks na sila but when we had our ultrasound yesterday less than five weeks pa lang daw sila.  Natatakot tuloy ako na baka kagaya naman ng dati yung pregnancy ko (I had an miscarriage at week 5 last year, but single pregnancy sya)

any opinions mga sis super nag aalala talaga ako sa pregnancy ko.  Thanks

It's alright sis, it is usually counted on the 1st day of your LMP.  As twins/multiples are more maselan talaga, you will have to be extra careful esp if you had a miscarriage before.

Also sis, this is not to scare you ha.  Kahit ako, ready ako dito sa fact that any multiples before 13 weeks might still not turn out to be multiples at all.  There is a tendency, that one could fall-out pero it won't hurt naman the other.

Just follow what the OB will say and prayer is such a powerful thing. Also, make sure you eat eat eat well. Esp the 1st, 2nd trimester.

hello mga sis!

ask ko lang kung meron dito having quads or tiplets. I'm having quads at 8 weeks already. It would be nice to share some tips and experiences. This is my first pregnancy so I will really need all the help I can get. Thanks in advance.  Good luck to all of us. God bless!

Actually, its a result of IVF, nag-implant lahat ng embryo trasferred. Pero nasa lahi din, kasi brother ng husband ko, may anak na kambal, saka may mga cousins din syang kambal.  i'm on my 9th or 10th week na (di kasi pare=pareho gestational age nila). Good luck to all of us

Pero normally, sa girls ang pag kakaron ng kambal.  But, nevertheless... they are still quadruplets and it's really going to be one instant big happy family.

Is this your 1st, sis? Gosh, good luck talaga sis. I can never imagine with quads... rest and eat a lot sis.

sis amrose! grabe ka sa superblessed! kung may lotto sa pagbubuntis, kaw na ang jackpot! sa mga nagttc, parang naglalaway sila sa inggit sa super miracle nyo ni hubby:) first try ivf? tapos 4 agad tapos 1st time mom? grabe talaga sa God given grace, umulan ng babies, kaw na ang sumalo lahat:)
yan siguro ang classic case na di na pede ang pasaway sa kahit anong bagay. obey your doctor, eat and live healthy. sana iba2 din ng gender no? take care of yourself and babies ok? belly rubs! dont forget to relay to us your journey to motherhood ha? this will be a first dito sa forum QUAD..ang galing talaga!

yes it my first ivf ( Dr. Lee Taichung) and nag implant lahat clang apat! kaloka talaga. First time mom, never been pregnant before blocked both ang fallopian tubes ko. I really feel so blessed.  I'm lucky that hindi ako maselan magbuntis, mana ako sa mama ko. wala ako morning sickness or any hilo, lagi lang akong gutom as in every hour yata gutom ako, apat eh. hehe.

I really hope that our other sisses will be blessed as me. Advise ko lang sa mga sis natin na going for ivf, very crucial ang part after ng embyo transfer. Dapat talaga as in zero stress. In my case hindi ako tumatayo kahit para mag toilet. Nag tiis ako magdiaper at hindi maligo, punas punas lang. I also ate lots of fresh fruits and juices.

Hi sis annapat22. Thanks! we were in Taiwan the whole month of March. Marami tayo mga sis dito  who had their ivf in Taiwan also. Ask lang kita until when mo ininom [textspeak!] mga meds na binigay nila after mo mag positive? [textspeak!] meds na kaka label ng 1,2,3.? and also the progesterone & hcg, until what week ka nag inject?

Yung injection dinagdagan pa ng ob ko up to 4th month, then yung uthrogestan continuous pinaiinom sakin to relax my uterus, baka diretso na yun. Email mo si mr. Hung para identify yung meds 1-3. Sis kasi nagka ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome(OHSS) ako after nag positive kaya medyo nahirapan ako 1st trimester.  Hcg pala parang 3x pa ako pinacheck ng ob ko.

Sino pala ob mo at saan hospital mo plan manganak?

Sis my ob is Dra. Manalo. I'm considering Makati Med. How about you? I already have the list of medicines and napakita ko na rin kay dra as of now sabi nya continue ko lang daw. Puede ka pa rin pala ma OHSS kahit pregnant ka na?

Yes sis Ambrose, masmalala pag nagka ohss k pagpregy na, 2x ako na-aspirate, 1 sa Taiwan, then dito yung 1. Complete bedrest for the 1st trimester and my albumin level was monitored.  Madocs ako, si dr. Martinez ob ko.
Dec.2010 batch pala ako sa Taichung, pero out of 10 couples 2 lang naging successful. Kaya medyo kalungkot din.

@ sis gold_ph, thanks! Madaming sacrifice kaya super thankful na quota na. I don't think kakayanin pa namin pa-ivf uli considering nagka-ohss ako after the procedure.

wow may quads na din pala tayo Congrats sis ambrose! heard about a triplets na umabot sa full term tapos 2 days after nakauwi na din agad all the babies, so do-able naman yan! just take care of yourself and kailangan talaga closely monitored mga babies.

Anyway, 30weeks and counting!! 7more weeks.. will prolly choose july 14 delivery date if CS na talaga (Haha. umaasa pa daw mag-normal).

Mga sis, sa pillows pala, did you buy two sets? kasi most like we'll co-sleep, e parang ang crowded naman yata nun sa isang bed if we have two sets of pillows plus 4 bolsters pa.

Sa Delivery, double din kaya PF ni OB? who's your OB by the way and what hospital? Me, i'm under Dra. Lee of Lourdes Hospital in Sta. Mesa.

You guys practicing na on the double football hold for Breastfeeding? Hehe. Pag naiimagine ko, gusto ko na lang matulog ulit, habang may chance pa ko to sleep. ^_^

^ hello sis, i bought 2 sets of pillows for my twins kasi tig-1 sila ng crib e. regarding OB's PF sa akin hindi naman double ang singil, yung pedia and yung bayad cord care sa nursery yun ang double..

yap, youll need them kahit 2 sets pa yan kasi when you wash it your one set, at least mern ka isang buffer. yung pillows lang sa head ang kelangan 2 talaga when they sleep...

not double ang rate ng ob kasi one cut lang ang gawin. it's the pedia who makes it double the rate. my obgyne is dra ina crisologo of asian hosp, shes a high risk pregnancy/maternal  and fetal medicine ob kaya ok siya and super bait, she charged me 62k kasi sa asian kami kaya it's definitely expensive, but i'm more comfortable dun eh kaya kahit gano kamahal, as soon as i knew na pregnant ko kahit twins pa, i really saved up para dun talaga kami para relax ang mind ko.:)it's going to be a llife changing moment, want it to be unspoiled:)

tried football hold nung kapapanganak pa lang sa hosp and when we were home but it will really really be hard work and patience but it is doable. hope your husband will be willing enough to help you out with the football hold lalo na pag pareho na sila hungry, its better na tandem para di ka mapagod ng sobra na pasalit2, meaning no sleep at all at night...tama, spend all the sleep now kasi magiging luxury na yan talaga pag may baby na...not to mention, babies pa sa atin:)

totally agree with all the moms of multiples here.

mine din...
single crib till 4 months (till kasya and hindi pa sila nag gigisingan in one crib) then split cribs na.
double sets of pillows talaga.
ako naman, I mastered the football hold since breastfed sila (exclusively) both at 7 months (while the other still breastfeeds sakin at 18 months!)

Football hold becomes a lot easier if madaming pillows, in a couch or on the bed... and yes! tama sabi ni sis golda... with a lot of hubby support!

hi sis ambrose and annapat22, would you mind if ask ko kung magkano ang expenses for ivf sa Taiwan?  Tignan namin ni hubby if kaya ng budget namin.  Kasi very successful yung sa inyo eh. Super gusto na namin ni hubby magka anak kasi. Actually nakapag pa IUI na din kami and its not successfull.

Im now sched for d and c for my twins, its my 3rd miscarriage, every year nabubuntis ako but wala miski isa ang nadevelop into embryo/fetus.  Im so devastated, kaya i like to know if kaya ng budget namin ang mas advanced technology of having a baby.

hi kookimaster. Thanks! hopefully macarry ko ang quads ko ng full term kahit alam ko na normally pag multiples lagi premature. Every two weeks ang check up ko sa ob. How bout u? what medicines are you taking?  IVF ka rin ba?

Hi sis jhoanne! Have you tried testing for APAS and immunity problems? From the information that you gave I think you should ask your ob about those. You get pregnant naman so parang ang problem is maintaining the pregnancy and those are likely the reasons for a miscarriage.

For my IVF and all other expenses like hotel, food and transportation is about 300-350K pesos. Depende rin sa case. Ang sakin is bale basic ivf lang kc wala akong mga immunity problem ( blocked falllopian tubes ang problem ko).  Mahal kasi ang treatment sa ganon tulad nung isang nakasabay namin. Also in my case I have never been pregnant before so this is my 1st pregnancy.
