NON-party birthday celebration

buti nabasa ko tong thread, contemplating din to throw a party for my son's third birthday peto yun na nga lang siguro konting food sa house then kain sa labas and cake na nga lang. tapos pasyal ko nalang sya sa fun ranch and HK disneyland, mas maeenjoy nya pa siguro:)

@chubbelita, I agree with you mukhang mas matutuwa nga son mo kung nag-Disneyland or Universal Studios na lang kayo.

My son turned 2 today! We celebrated at Ark Avilon Zoo. Super na-enjoy namin, hindi lang yung bata. hehe!

My unico hijo is turning 7 later this month (yes, that's him on my picture/avatar). I've booked a Disney Cruise with a pre-cruise visit at Disney World. When we get to our rooms, he's going to be welcomed with banners, party favors and cake in our rooms (both in Disney world hotel and the Disney cruise stateroom). The staff will arrange those prior to our arrival. At dinner time at the cruise, every one celebrating their birthday will also get treated with a birthday cake and the crew will sing Happy Birthday to them. Sounds exciting right. No more party.

BUT, as his birthday draws closer, he's been whispering to me that he wants a separate birthday with his friends He wants to cancel the cruise since he said he doesn't know anybody there. So, yesterday, at the last minute, I contacted our rec center and booked a Sportball party for him (Sport coaches will run a high-level party with sports like soccer, basketball, etc.). It's going to be a secret party. I kept on saying we will not have any more party for him since I will not have enough time for the preparation and we have to push with the cruise since it's all been paid. He'll be thrilled!

Ganyan din ako sa panganay ko, I told her may party sa 7th birthday niya, princess theme, and she told me "Nay, gusto ko swimming party!".

Kaya swimming party kami nung 7th birthday niya, ang importante eh maging masaya siya sa mismong araw niya, hindi ko naman birthday yun haha. Sulit naman, hanggang tenga ang ngiti.

sa 8th birthday naman daw niya eh school party, at sa 9th birthday niya eh swimming party ulit.. Kaloka, siya na talaga ang nasusunod LOL.

Kaya enjoy enjoy pa ako sa bunso ko ngayon, ako pa nasusunod hahaha.

nung 1st to 7th birthday ng daughter ko, i gave her parties. though hindi naman lahat big parties. pero yung husband ko talagang ayaw niya ng parties, kaya etong 8th birthday ng daughter namin, nag-hotel na lang kami for 2 nights sa dusit thani. tapos hindi ko rin natiis, i gave my daughter a "playdate" with four of her closest friends on her actual birthday. we had a lot of fun just the same, so we plan to do something like that again next year.

I agree with you sis.  Yung daughter ko was asking for a spa party on her 7th birthday.   Medyo undecided pa nga siya because I told her I was initially planning a Barbie Fashionista party for her.  Gusto daw niya pareho.  A spa and a Fashionista party.  Kids are really different nowadays.

Sis i miss sleep, ang bilis ng panahon! 7yrs old na noh... I like the secret party. For sure mag eenjoy. Pero mag eenjoy din yan for sure sa disneyworld pag nandun na.
 Si ahia ko naman turbung 6, requesting din for the details of his party. As in alam nya yung mga gusto nya sa party. Nakiusap na lang ako sa 7th na lang nya. Buti pumayag. And sa school kasi nya bawal ang school parties kaya akala ko makakatipid ako. Then few days later, nag kwento sakin that he invited 3-4 of his classmates sa bahay daw on his bday. Kaya panic mode ako kasi hindi pwede sa bahay sa liit and layo from his school. Kaya im planning that we will just have a lunch out with his chosen classmates sa sweet maria cafe after his class...

Hindi rin mahilig sa party ang kid mo sis? sa 4th birthday niya, alam na niyan ang gusto niya.

well sis kasi sa ugali ng son ko ayaw nya sa maraming tao at maingay... kaya nagdecide kami na intimate birthday celebration nalang... kaysa naman pilitin ko magparty ayaw naman nya... 'wag nalang... if ever na magrequest sya ng bday party syempre gagawin namin, pero kung kami ng husband ko tatanungin hindi namin 1st choice ang birthday party.

My son just turned 3 last week. We cooked lang sa bahay. Dahil malakas ang ulan, hindi din kami nag invite ng mga kapitbahay. Nagbigay nalang kami ng food. Hinanda namin yung mga request niyang food like Ube cake and roasted chicken. =)

Then, 2 days after his birthday, we went to Star City. Nag enjoy naman. =)

Dahil di natuloy school party ng daughter ko on the day of her birthday because of class suspension, last minute I prepared a small playdate with her friends. We live across a mall so it was easy to organize. I asked my daughter to go door to door and invite her friends. Two hours after we met our condo lobby and headed to the mall. They had lunch at mcdo then played all they want at time zone.

we'll celebrate our sons 7th and 3rd bdays in Davao. prior to that we'll have dinner w/ their grandparents on both sides para they can have a cake blowing pic man lang.
