I am a blogger user ever since I started to take it(blogging) seriously pero sa wordpress ako nagstart as my training sa blogging,

It is so hard for me to understand Wordpress interface and besides I cannot hack my template in this platform. Hindi ko man lang malagyan ng mga gusto kong ilagay sa wordpress napaka limited unlike sa blogger. Lahat magagawa mo napakauser-friendly parang pang masa talaga siya tapos si wordpress pang sosyal.

Pwedeng i-modify nang husto (even exceeding much of blogger.com) kung self-hosted ka. Self-hosted means that you have to get your own webhost and domain and put your own installation of wordpress.

You probably own and somehow tweaked a WordPress.com blog, right? You can't put ads sa platform nila. You can't even accept paid posts. And you're limited rin sa mga WordPress themes na nakalagay sa sa site nila (but I know you can tweak the CSS of these sites).

In a self-hosted wordpress blog, lampas-lampas pa sa blogger.com ang modifications na pwede mong gawin. You can put ads, accept paid posts, rewrite the theme para maging magazine style (though I saw themes done in blogger this way), install slideshows, insert google maps, even add a built-in spell and grammar checker ... there are tons of plugins to modify the blog. If you're techy enough (or you can get/pay someone techy to fix your blog), then you can further modify the wordPress theme to - say, you want to feature a categories arranged in A, B, C's, or even a google search page, modify the entire homepage layout, etc.

hindi ba pag self-hosted may yearly or monthly siyang bayad? hassle yun para sa akin although it would be good kung self-hosted yung akin sa wordpress and I agree I cannot put my ads and hack using wordpress.com platform sayang

Yup may bayad. Kaya siguro nasabing sosyal ang mga may self-hosted wordpress. May bayad kasi.

Merong mga webhosts na yearly ang bayad, merong ding monthly.

Yung blogger ko sobrang limited ng nagagawa. Parang may account lang ako sa Blog ng Google na pwede akong magadd ng content, magedit ng theme, maglagay ng ads, at yun lang ata. hehe

Sa wordpress site ko, ako kasi gumawa nun. kaya lahat ng gusto kong gawin nagagawa ko dun.

Self-hosted wordpress. I started blogging in 2007. From Xanga to Livejournal to Blogger to Wordpress to Tumblr then back to Wordpress. I like wordpress, even the free one on wordpress.com but I decided to have it self-hosted so I can tweak the layout.

Self-hosted wordpress. You can buy domains for about $8-$15 and for hosting, iba iba price depende sa company and the disk space. For domain and hosting, sa namecheap, they have domains worth $9-$10 with free whois privacy then yung namecheap hosting is P150 a month or mas cheaper if yearly around P1,400. Pero they have a hosting promo. P800+ sa first year. 20gb disk space and you can host up to 3 websites.
