If you have your own domain, mas maganda nga ang Wordpress. Madugo at first kung mangangapa ka, but it's all worth it. There are a lot of step by step tutorials in the net naman.

Ang saya sa wordpress... Just switched to it after six years in Blogger. I was hesitant at first to move to WP cause I've grown to love Blogger, but now I fell in love more with Wordpress  I got my dream layout. Hindi ko lang ma-open ngayon cause it's barely two days since I imported my files. I don't know why it's like that.

Design, widget/gadget and SEO wise, ok na ok sa Wordpress, that is if you have your own domain.

Kung free hosting, I'm not sure pero mukhang mas searchable ang blogger. Mas marami akong nakikitang blogspot kesa sa wordpress. And parang limited lang din ang design sa free wordpress.

Actually, I used Blogger.com (or Blogspot) but I decided to use WordPress as my main platform. I really don't know why, but if you're a blogger with a very good track of experience, I think WordPress is the best blogging platform IMO.

There are other blog hosting sites such as Xanga, LiveJournal, but these are sort of diary-oriented things. For me, Blogspot is like... easier to use but WordPress for me is the best.

Blogger/Blogspot. I was considering on shifting to Wordpress because Blogger does not have an iPhone/iPad app. But since i love my present layout after days of tweaking, I decided to stay.

I just started using Wordpress.

So far, ok naman, madali i-set up even for someone like me na wala masyado programming experience. Gusto ko yung clean look ng blog ko ngayon, which is also my impression of most wordpress blogs--clean, professional looking. Nadalian din ako sa paggamit ng photos na hosted sa Skydrive. I also own a Windows Phone and okay naman yung mobile app ng Wordpress.

Di ko pa masyado naeexplore yung ibang plug ins na pwede gamitin pero later, aaralin ko na yan. So far, free lang ang gamit ko, pero since mura lang naman yung fees for domain name (USD18) and Custom Design (USD30), I might consider availing those later, pag nasustain ko yung blogging habit.

Blogger talaga pinakauna but then nadalian ako gamitin ang wordpress, and besides I believe seo friendly siya, so nagstay ako doon. Recently, napansin ko na amsmarami ata gumagamit ng blogger so I'll try using it again.

Hi guys, I think one of the key difference ng Blogger and Wordpress is yung ability to earn via Adsense.Lately ko lang nalaman na bawal pala yun sa wordpress.com, and although wala naman kong following now, naisip ko down the line magandang option siya.

Ayoko naman mag migrate pa sa blogger kasi mas sanay na ko sa wordpress so nabasa ko, you can host your own wp and then you can do Adsense and other transactions na bawal sa wordpress.com.

Mayron ba dito na yun ang ginawa? Inquire lang ako kung gano kahirap. Hehe.

^ you mean yung paghost sa wordPress?

definitely some technical skills are needed sa mga self-hosted WP. but you can hire a person to maintain the WP site for you or just learn all the technical skills yourself. the second DIY option might be a bit more difficult and most likely hihingi ka pa rin ng tulong sa mga web designers/developers.

Blogger still. It's easy for me to design my blog layout kasi I'm very used to it. I tried Wordpress but I really can't find my way around it.

Hi freelancer_babe! Thanks. Yup,I meant running my own installation of wordpress hosted somewhere else, like bluehost or gatorhost for a fee. I read kasi na they made it easier na via various automation tools.

I dont have much technical skills, but as long as there is a gui admin dashboard, i think kaya ko subukin. Although syempre sugal yun for me since I have to front the payment for at least 3 yrs to get a good price. Concern ko rin is how to manage the security and updates. Anyhoo, muni muni lang naman ako sa ngayon. Malayo pa ako doon or I might even do it. Hehe.

^ yup, may mga automation tools sis, on many webhosts, but that's not enough. they are mostly useful lang sa initial stages - in setting up your blog. but not anymore if you need to maintain, fix (a hacked blog) or even modify your installation - and in this case you'd need a techy friend to help you out (maybe you could barter skills? doing maintenance is not all that easy in many cases especially if you want a hacked blog fixed) or just simply pay someone to fix things for you.

mas magastos talaga ang may sariling WP, but it could be worth it especially if you are earning something from that site.
