HI please help me naman.

I am planning to apply for a student visa in AU. HAVE  you ever heard about the GTE? i think it's a new policy ng au gov. Pumunta na ko IDP last week and the counsellor told me na if malayo sa degree or work experience yung kukunin kung program sa AU, there's a higher possibility of visa refusal or the embassy will ask for my reasons why i want to change career.

I am a bs tourism grad, i've had work experience na din sa hospitality industry for 3 yrs and ive also had work experience as an asst. english teacher abroad.  Yung 2 options ko ng program:

1. Bachelor in Early Childhood Educ.
2. Bachelor in Social Work

yung first choice ko kase super tagal 4 yrs. and I dont have idea kung macredit yung bs tourism degree ko kase malayo sya. although ok ito kase makakapagregister ako na teacher.kala lang ang tagal ng studies ko. kaya nagdadalawa isip ako

yung second choice ko naman, ok siya 2 years. kaso worried ako dun sa gte. the emb might ask me for reasons kase malayo naman sa degree at work experience ko.

meron na ba sainyo nakaexperience ng nagbigay ng reasons or nainterview sa embassy?

does anyone know the name of the visa where you can get full time work for 2yrs after completing 2yrs of studies?

hi.. im applying for a masters degree, kaya lang one year lang siya for full time. will i be able to get a working visa right after? yung for pr kelangan 2 year stay in aus right? sa sydney pala ang target ko.

^ang alam ko yng qualified lang for a working visa after studies is if your course is a 2yr course. anong course kukunin mo? ako din I will take my masters next feb pero sa melbourne ako.

Confirm ko lang, talaga bang hindi makakakuha ng working visa pag 1 year of masters degree lang? working visa lang naman habol ko, not permanent residency

You're right, may possibility na marefuse ang application mo if iyong kukunin mong course is not related sa natapos mo but depende pa rin how you present your reasons why gusto mo magchange ng career. I think okay lang naman iyong choices mo kasi bachelor degrees naman sila, not diploma or certificate courses. Ang talagang questionnable is if you finished a degree course here tapos kukuha ka ng certificate course doon, pero possible pa rin un kasi I know someone na-approve ang application (though health related iyong courses niya). She's a graduate of BS Pharmacy here pero kumuha siya ng package course - ELICOS and Certificate course in Children's Services. Now she's in Melbourne na.

Sa Deakin University, Melbourne burwood campus ako. Yung isa sa Geelong actually dalawa ang Deakin dun. Anung month ka punta?

^ sa burwood campus din ako. mga feb start ng school e. pero kaka pass ko pa lang ng ielts hindi pa ako nag apply

@sis Miss Charcoal: I think scholarships are available for international students esp for postgrad study. Anong field of education mo sis? And where would you like to study? May specific institution ka ba na gusto?

Sis layzieg, anong course? If nursing ka sis, Im in for the Feb intake, bad news is full na for feb. Apply ka na kasi punuan dito may quota yata sila per course. If hindi ka Nursing, I hope to see and meet you sa Deakin.

@sis birchtree, thanks! Physical Therapy course ko. Gusto ko sana sa University of Queensland. Hehe. Pero naghahanap rin ako ng other options.

sis yukishih hindi ako nursing eh.MBA sana kukunin ko. gusto ko sana mag masters in human nutrition kaso baka ma refuse yung visa ko kasi business degree ako and hindi sya 2yr course hehe
